Estrelas smiled languidly and scratched Angel's ears before putting her on the dewy grass with the leash on.
"Vindo em Angel, deixe-nos têm um hop feliz, eh? Cuidadoso! Não é esta grama irish assim agradável?" she murmured as Angel hopped a few paces, nose twitching curiously.
She nodded at Wraith's disappearence. "Ah, he go get Marshiemallows, he be back soon," she said aloud. "Do we know those person?" she asked. There were some people that she thought it would it better to avoid.

Young Samantha, who was already on pins and needles, despite the wine that was coursing through her bloodstream nicely, gave a little squeak when the costumed woman- Eponine, she was called?- ducked behind her. She nearly tripped in the heels she was wearing, and blinked startled golden eyes at all that was going on around her, a slight smile quirking her lips upwards as she realize she really had nothing to be startled or worried about.

A cheerful youth entered the room in her usual outfit of bright colors. Her dark heir encircled by a crown of fresh flowers and her arms filled with motely skulls. Bouncing into the room with a dancer's grace, Aletta smiled brightly.
"I brought candy skulls!"
This holiday was one of her favorites even if her new understanding of what Halloween meant was a different from her own time period. She had spent the day in what she had been introduced to as a kitchen preparing a small feast to offer up to her dead relatives and families in a few days.
Holding out her bounty she looked around with her amber eyes, "Anyone want some? There good. Really." A slight look of doubt appeared on her face but disappered as fast as it had come. "Well, it won't kill you. Maybe just a tiny tummy-ache."

Shee shook her head at Aletta's offer, a ghost of a smile playing upon her lips.
"I think you may have gotten a few holidays mixed up Aletta. El Dia de los Meurtos?"

At the mention of the words marshmellow, eat, and on top of all that the lady in blinding colors offering candy skulls, Eponine lost all sense of mind that she had been created with.
Eat? She couldn't eat! What if she had to accept the food because it was not-human to do so? Then what if they found out? What if they denounced her? What if they sent her back? What if -
With a squeak, then a wail, Eponine ran straight for - and into the fire.

The teenage gypsy girl frowned in thought and said with her r's rolling as always, "I had understood that this Halloween was El Dia de los Meurtos, no?"
She had spent a good amount of time the past few days with books explaining the holiday of Halloween and the costumes. The girl had been baffled by her research but had shrugged her shoulders choosing to stick with what she knew and since her findings had told her that her cultural holiday was still celebrated as she did, Aletta had thought nothing of it.
Looking around and seeing that no one was for the candy skulls and that the one French girl had began to wail, the mocha skinned girl recoiled and withdraw her armful of sweets.

Moira watched with amusement the group of girls carrying on, and rolled her eyes, grinning slightly as she returned to the fire. Her eyes danced with it quietly, and she reached out boldly, her hand very near the fire.
She didn't seem to notice the burns. Her fingers danced carefully around the flame, numb from the burns after a couple of minutes. She pulled her hand back quietly, and held the now-very-hot hand to her face, relishing in the sudden warmth.

"Ah me gawd, candy skulls, wow, how much did that cost?" she asked, stunned, forgetting that sugar was no longer only reserved for Christmas and the wealthy. She looked at them- were they real? No, they were too small, maybe they were from migdets-
"'PONINE!" she screamed, thrust Angel's leash into Aletta's hands, and launched herself headfirst, all caution thrown away, directly at Eponine. "THat FIYA-"

Aislynn watched one of the strangers as she ran for the fire, her thoughts shifting from one of curiosity to one of confusion. Surely these strangers knew that jumping the bonfire was a Beltane tradition, and not a Samhain one? ...Or not, as the girl ran into the fire.
"Aye, an' this is why strangers don' usually come ta these events," she muttered with a shake of her head. "No respec' fer our traditions."
It was time to go find someone to talk to, she was sure. As sure as she was of this fact, she was just as unsure of whether or not she wanted to actually speak with the strangers. Nae, she told herself. Go speak wi' them.
The banshee adjusted the silver comb in her hair as she picked out one of the strangers to speak with. Talking to them as a group would not be wise, she knew. One stood near the fire, alone, and she was a perfect choice.
"Wise men know tha' they cinnae stan' too close ta tha fire and expec' not ta get burned," she said as soon as she was within the range of Moira's hearing. "Stupid men learn tha' fac' very quickly, an' I would hope not ta count ya among the latter."

WARNING MOVEMENT FROM BEHIND ATTACK IMMINENT DEFENSE MECHANISM ACTIVATED
Pure robotic instinct kicked in - without looking, hands shot out behind her, grabbing for Estrelas and swinging around in a throwing motion.
At least, if it worked, the poor bunny girl would be thrown away from the fire, rather than toward.
The movement effectively stopped Eponine's wild dash for the fire - just in time, too, just a few inches away. Unfortunately, a wild spark landed on the great masses of green fur on her body, and set it up in flames. Second defense tactic kicked in: the basic stop, drop, and roll. "AAAAAH!" she screamed, rolling back and forth in a tightly curled ball.
When she finally stopped, she was at the feet of Aislynn and Moira. She stared up at them with wide eyes.

Moira had heard the banshee, and it took a moment to register that she had been addressing her. Moira turned her head and grinned at the girl slightly. "You could if you like." She replied, gently. "I just have a different point of view on fire than most." Moira shrugged, and looked at the fire again.
"It's like everything else that lives. You respect it, and it won't burn you. If you're careless... Well. Being burned is your own fault." Moira added thoughtfully, watching the fire dance. She turned to face the woman after a minute, and gave a fuller smile. "I'm Moira." She held her hand out.

As he walked back towards the fire, marshmallows in hand, he heard the unmistakable sound of screaming. Dropping the bag, Wraith pushed his way through the converging crowd and emerged at the edge of the fire.
And there he saw his recruits. Not in danger, like he'd thought- not really. Eponine was on the floor, and looked like she'd been on fire. Which she probably had been. Aletta was dripping with candy skulls, and Estrelas was- where was Estrelas?
Moira, at least, was in a relatively normal state.
Walking over to Eponine, he leaned down and quietly asked her, "Would you like to get out of that costume, Eponine? You don't look very comfortable." He held out his hand to her.

Estrelas immediately rushed over, her rabbit ears bouncing up and down. She picked up Angel and the rabbit leash and literally minced over, blushing from the heat of so many people.
"Ah Lord, ahre those marshiemallows?" she asked happily. "Ah heard that ya... Impale them on tree branches and light the tree on fire to roast them. Can they be eaten raw?" she asked.
Angel sniffed around, struggling towards the candy skulls before Estrelas placated her with an offering of carrot.

"Yes, please," she said to Wraith, eyes welling up with tears. One of the flames had licked her chin - and although she couldn't bleed, she certainly could burn. And yes, it did hurt. Ignoring the hand, Eponine stood up herself and began to push the hood of a monster head down, when she remembered - "Oh, but I don't have a change of clothes..."
Marshemallows...roast...eaten. Eponine almost went into a second panic attack, but managed to control herself. "Estrelas, did I hurt you? I'm so sorry!" First Shane, now Estrelas. Her eyes were becoming magnified from all the tears that were wobbling on the edge.
Actresses. Very high strung.

And he was trying so hard to be nice too.
"That's alright. I'm sure we can find something. I'll ask Shee to take you to find something a little less... uncomfortable."
Wraith turned to Estrelas.
"What? Oh, the marshmallows. Well, you try not to light the tree part on fire... you'd be in a bit of trouble if that happened. Here-- I'll show you."
And with that, Wraith retrieved the forgotten bag and lightly flipped out two large, soft marshmallows.
