Sir Ichigo O_O Jesus..... ~_~ I don't get to handle money..... I chase children out of the back room all day and relocate the occasional insect because the branch manager has a fit if you kill them. Don't kill the bugs. They have feelings too. crying

I hardly ever have overdue books...and when I do...it's because someone else put a hold on a book that I have out and my mom doesn't take me to the library in time. stare It's her fault! Not mine!

They follow me around and call me Mr. Fairy and move all the books I shelve.

Wow. Small children love me, too, but nobody has ever called me Mr. Fairy.
Well, Tingle said it over and over again, but besides that, I guess nobody.

Nintendonick4 Wow. Small children love me, too, but nobody has ever called me Mr. Fairy. You've never demonstrated a fairy dance in the storytime room (which is completely comprised of windows).

Heh. I wish I was a librarian. Sounds like fun. 3nodding Especially if you don't have to deal with the small children outside of work.
Oddly enough, Tingle's the only person who's ever called me Mr. Fairy either... I kind of wanted to punch him... not because of the comment, though, because of the way he spins around and is 35 years old without a real job. stare

I wish I were a librarian, too. :3 Doesn't being a librarian afford you certain privileges in terms of book-checking-out?
I always have overdue books. As I don't often go to the public library, I always borrow as many books as I can carry (and that's a lot; I tend to go with my little cousin, which means that I get to carry books in my arms AND make her sit with them in the stroller!), and of course I don't get to return them until months later. But the longest I've ever had a book overdue was that time I borrowed "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets", several years ago, and left it in my closet for nearly a year, ignoring the steadily growing fines...-shudder- Eventually someone called me from the library, because the waiting list was getting impatient.

It would be great to librarian and it's not such a bad job. I don't deal with overdue fines much...but they are a neccesary...I usually recheck them out online or try and read them quickly or some other way. You all are silly peopel. ^^ Kool!!

I don't like the library anymore. Once I left a book in my closet for like a year too and the fine was like $150 but my mom persuaded the library to lower it to $50. Then I checked out 3 books from the library and I couldn'd find one of them so I had to replace the book and pay $10. Then I checked out 3 books again and I lost all 3 so I had to replace those too (and they were manga so it wasn't cheap) and pay $10 again! ...I don't go to the library anymore.

Well, yes. But one can gain that privilege simply by forcing librarian/editor peeps to allow you to be a reviewer. (And then, of course, review.) Yes? But admittedly your method would be more efficient...and less time-consuming. Since you don't have to write the reviews.

I barely ever use the library...but when I do, I turn in my books early for a few months...then I keep forgetting and forgetting and before I know it I owe a bit of money...
Not too sure though, 'cause I'd rather have my books to be my own..and if after I read the book I didn't enjoy it, I'll just trade it in at the used bookstore. 3nodding
