SefieGainsborough Mommy-In-A-Box samuraioni My personal favorie to hate is AerisxSephiroth. Uhm, all right. Well, explain why! Reasons are always good. (: I don't particulary like most yaoi, just because a lot of what I see is pretty irrational. Also, there's the issue of quality within the works that kind of drives you away. I have some good reasons! A DIFFERENCE OF IDEALS. Sephiroth is selfish and wants to rule the world, Aeris is selfLESS and sacrfices herself to save it from him. Sephiroth hates, Aeris loves. They are polar opposites, good and evil. NOW in an AU universe, or Redemed!Sephiroth, those are okay, but as Sephiroth never WAS redemed, I just can't ship the couple. Well, you see, in my one fanfic(it's definitely AUish), I have Sephiroth and Aeris meeting in Hojo's lab as children. Aeris and Ilfalna get away, years pass, yadada...Sephiroth and Aeris meet again before he goes insane, then he does go insane...yeah, and it keeps going, she drags him out of insanity....different scenario. Most of us AeriSeph shippers think she could move his heart, though. ;P

Most of us AeriSeph shippers think she could move his heart, though. ;P Added to AU, I would like to go into this subject.... Sephiroth is not the man many people depict him to be. When he was a General of SOLDIER, he was a war hero, and fought in battles because he felt he was doing something right. He wasn't fighting simply to slaughter people. He only lost his fruit loops because the guy found out about his past going to the reactors. He believed that he was a monster, and taking advantage to that, he was controlled by Jenova and burned down Nibelheim before going on a rampage later on in life. He wasn't always like he is now is basically what I'm saying. If someone could get him to turn back to his normal stage, like he was back in Soldier, than it would be Aeris. Like you said, she is very open-minded and selfless. She could be the one to help him regain the light that was lost in his heart. Like Rurouni Kenshin.... But, I digress... You see, you say that Sephiroth was never redeemed, and that is why you cannot ship the couple. Aeris died in the original story, so there is no way for Cloud to truly get with her, you know? See, the thing about couplings is, they are NEVER canonical. Like Shuyin said, all couplings are left to the imagination. So long as a coupling has a good backstory and defense, and can be written or drawn very well, I can support it. I'm a diehard CloTi, but I really like and support Cleris and its followers. Just asking for the same kinda love, you know?

I dont' have a couple I can't stand. However, I generally abstain from yaoi because that's just not my thing. Also for me, a coupling is heavily dependant on how much I like a character... Like.. I'm a big time aeris fan. I prefer not to call myself a shipper as I never "worship" this stuff. adn I prefer to not even reference it that way in terms of me personally... But yeah. I'm a big time aeris fan. and I will accept her with almost anyone. almost... not everyone.. but a lot of people.. though AeriSeph is my favorite. But, I"m never like. she can only be with him. Present me some fanarts and decent fanfics of her with someone.. and i'll entertain the coupling in my mind.
The problem a lot of fans have.. is they get hooked on one thing adn feel like it can only be that way. People need to expand their horizons and be able to enjoy multiple couplings. I mean.. having a preference is ok. But just flat out and completely hating others just because it's not your top preference is just well.. extremely biased and completely unreasonable. You're gonna hate someone? That's a tad way out in teh land of extremism. I love aeris. adn in a coupling.. i'd rather cloud choose ehr over tifa. But, i'd rather her choose sephiroth over cloud. just all depends.

Oh, another thing I'd like to add: the adult fanfictions involving Red XIII and Yuffie. I seriously have read enough of those, and they're completely pointless. Now, I've also read a fanfiction(I can't remember what it was called, but I think it has AeriSeph in it too) where Yuffie and Red actually fall in love, and it was adorable --- no squicky ninja on lion thing action

Well, I think in a way... most people who like to pair him with any of the others.. I mean.. it really bridges things that are kind of R or even NC-17 rated topics... Now, since a lot of fanfics are AU's anyways.. someone could have a story where... when he was in hojo's lab.. and the time there.. he was injected with some kind of experimental things. maybe jenova. maybe something else.. and the results didn't show up at first.. but at some point, he developed an ability to morph into an anthro form thus becoming a hybrid between something humanoid and his normal form... I mean. That would seem a little more... not so vulgar. That.. or introduce an OC who could be his pair.

Actually, I've never been bothered by beastiality for some odd reason. I mean, we're all animals anyways. I see it that way, but I don't care if you don't.
I actually like Nanaki and Yuffie together. I think it's cute.

I despise VincentxYuffie.
Like you said, they are way too different.
Vincent doesn't talk much,
and Yuffie never, ever stops talking.
She's also too immature for her age.
I mean,
she's already 19.
Vincent's a much older,
mature character.
In FF7 Yuffie didn't like Vincent,
and Vincent didn't like Yuffie.
He thought Yuffie was too immature, or improper.
Yuffie thought Vincent was no fun at all,
and if he joins your party, she says,
"Great, just what I need."
or something similar to that.
VincentxMarlene or CloudxMarlene is just plain sick and wrong.
I also cannot stand VincentxShelke.
It's like ***** apparently is not.
It just seems so squicky and distasteful.
I've seen lots of people say Lucrecia lives on in Shelke.
She doesn't.
Only her research files and some of her
thoughts are in Shelke's network.
Nonetheless, Shelke is not Lucrecia,
and Lucrecia is not Shelke.
It's just data fragments.
And I doubt Vincent's shallow enough
to fall for Shelke just because of that.

to fall for Shelke just because of that. I agree with you on the Yuffie thing but I think if she were to mature and grow up to ba about 23 she would then be a good match for him. Shelke would be perfect for Vincent but she would have to grow up to 23 also which unfortunately will never happen. So she is out. However I can't stand Lucrecia with Vincent or anyone but Hojo for that matter. Why? Because Lucrecia's stupid and Hojo is an evil a** from hell. They deserve each other. The other paring I can't stand Is AerisxCloud or Aeris anyone for that mater (except for Sephiroth) xp . I mean the women is an inconsiderate, two faced, idiotic, dumb a**. And I don't think anyone especially Cloud deserves to be paired with someone like her. I just know someone on here is going to try and prove me wrong and I can always go and get proof however that would take forever and I would rather not go that far into the subject. The only reason I like AerisxSeproth is because one I really don't have an opinion on him. He just seems like an ordinary bad guy to me. Two they look really good together. And three I think they could make really good looking kids. Anyway those are the couples I can't stand.

XD;; Aye.... *sigh* You know, I accidently got her warned. Asked her to tell me why she thought Aeris was a witch with a b, and man that was hard to say, but, it was funny to read, you know? But, I guess hate's just something that comes naturally to some people. Just gotta learn to see with eyes unclouded by hate before you make your decision on someone. Like, I always hated Sasuke for the same reason that RxH did. He, so called, tried to interrupt my OTP of Sakura/Ino. He broke them up, even though he didn't mean to, and I truly hated him for that. But, after seeing RxH, and another girl in FF: Exhileration, I just tried to look at Sasuke and practice what I preached. I don't really hate the guy, he's a cool character, albeit emo and tunnel visioned, but nothing really about him to hate. See, when you hate someone, you always add stuff that YOU "see," but it is really just your mind making up excuses to hate that person, even if that character doesn't have those attributes. I read into hate a lot, just comes to a point where I can predict stuff, you know? Bet someone, prolly RxH, is gonna yell at me.... *sigh*
