I like the eating people thing ^^ Though maybe if you removed the mention of changing her shape temporarily and just said that she always has the second mouth/set of teeth and it's normally just hidden away or doesn't open til she wants to eat people?
That makes it sound a bit more like a physical difference, rather than another power ^_^

I gotta say, I can't find any justification for the ability anywhere. One of the things that's been stressed in the rules is that as much as possible should have connections to the past life, abilities especially, and not just added on because "it's cool". Devouring people was more ala Kelpie than Nixie.
Otherwise, I'd agree with Kali; if this ability is absolutely necessary and can be backed up by something related to the myth, it would be much better to have her appearence reflect it all of the time. My concern is that it stretches into a character being overpowered for them to start out with an ability and literally requires and makes them capable of killing someone, and then allow them to cover it up so perfectly for no clear reason relating back to the Nixies.
That's just my opinion, though. :3

Sosi did tell me that mixing the various versions of Nixies/Kelpies was alright since they are all the same creature, basically, just with slight cultural differences. So that is the one thing i took from Kelpies and how i took that people who disappeared into a Nixies pond were usually never seen again. So, in my view, it is backed up by mythos since Kelpies are just another version of a nixie (since a nixie is just a general name for a fresh water pond spirit).
While she is capable of killing someone she despises the fact that she has to. She would rather make herself sick and not do it but as a 'safeguard', like how people when in dangerous situations turn on the fight-or-flight syndrome, when she gets to the point of where she must eat or die her nature makes her lure someone and kill them.
It's not that she can't be caught since she could easily be caught while eating someone or she could be caught with blood on her, there is just no body left over. Like if you murdered someone and burned them or something. Now, i don't think she'd be able to eat her victims teeth (as i've not really come across an animal that did that since they don't really have nutritional value) so there would be some left-overs.
She could also, instead of always having to eat people per say, devour animals. Since she would technically be consuming the person for the life force an animal would work the same. It would just take either an animal as 'strong' as a human or a bunch of 'weaker' animals

The problem with mixing in Kelpie myths is, Arkanti is already a Kelpie, with those carnivorous tendencies set into his backstory. Trying to mix those myths isn't something easily done without talking with Karma to draw a firm line between what one is and what the other isn't, you know? If you're planning to keep her such a carnivore, definitely get into contact with her and sort things out.
The animal thing would be a little easier to accept than forcing the character to have to eat humans all the time. I can see her having to eat a person maybe once or twice in her life, when desperation forces her, but requiring her to actually eat someone that often through all stages of her life is a little hard not to disbelieve.

*nods* With animals, it's also less likely that the police should be showing up hunting for all these missing people. And she still gets her "gross" second mouth/teeth and eating living creatures guilt going on from that, without crossing into Arkie territory.

I did speak to Karma about it already. I was sure to PM her after Sosi spoke to me and ask her what sort's of things Arkie had on him and what bit's of a Kelpie i could use. I can PM her again about the eating things if that could perhaps be stepping on bounds.
True. I can easily make it animals rather than people other than the one child she ate when younger. I'd like to keep that one since it was her living for a long time without eating and getting that form of sustenance so she did that completely on accident.
Edit: I edited the info on the front page to change her 'food' of choice to animals rather than humans.

Alright. I talked to Karma about it and she doesn't have a problem with Marlow eating things. I have it changed to animals, except for the one little boy, so that's how she will survive until she is able to find a new pond (if she ever does)
