More musings~
Though it's listed as one of the Tzohar's PRIMARY powers, I'm not too interested in the healing bit. I won't nix it as a potential option, should anyone force Shai to invoke the Tzohar, but I'd rather call it purification or something like that. He isn't a character built around a 'healer' concept (I think there may be enough characters with that capability already)...but again, it's mostly in the hands of the one controlling him. <3

I wanted to mention that I have some flexibility as far as gender goes! When the final numbers are in, if Shai makes it that far, the concept can be reworked to some extent if there needs to be some balancing of gender numbers in the shop. It's not something I'd prefer to do, but it is an option if need be!

Wow, a very interesting concept. Though I wouldn't have even heard about the Tzohar if not for Xenosaga XD
I'm curious about how Shai would age when you say he'll mostly be following the orders of others, and that he's incapable of sin or redemption. It sounds like it would be impossible for him to try and become an Ancient because he has very little drive of his own, and little ability to change. Or are those things that will also change as he ages?
(I ask because your profile makes him sound like a very static character.)
The trying to 'rescue' dark characters could be interesting, if only because everyone that has dark fa'e or NPCs seems to like them that way. It would make for some amusing RPs though xd
Other than that, I like how tied into the myth he is - not just a loose base or anything. And I like how his appearance and personality are based so heavily in the myth, and really make sense when reading it. He's a very thought-out concept. Your research really shows through.

Shai will undergo many changes as he ages, but those changes are mainly going to be based on the interactions and lessons he receives. The main social plot is loosely going to involve his 'education'...all the experiences and lessons of mortality and sin. I imagine he'd learn something unique from most everyone. ^_~
In regards to the choice for Ancient, that's a hard question. Of course and as always, it depends on RP. However, the history of the Tzohar is a long one, and his goal isn't glory. He's done his time, so to speak, and wishes for nothing more than a human soul...so he may be judged. If all he needs to do to earn such a soul is reproduce, well... whee That's what makes the most sense to me!
Also, Shai does have drive of his own, and things he is very passionate about! Servitude is simply in his nature...even on his 'days off' his gracious demeanor is intact. He will mainly react, however, as opposed to initiate...so if no one interacts with him, he may become static indeed. Similar to the years of waiting the Tzohar endured between 'masters.'

No worries, what you've said makes a lot of sense ^^ I admit I feel better about the concept knowing you're not trying to force him to Ancient with that kind of personality and limitations (servitude, etc.).
But even the fact that you're going into this knowing you'd like him to become human is unique. So best of luck to you 3nodding

If you're a guardian or guardian to be, please let me know if there are any aspects of Shai's design, chaqracter structure, or back story that you feel are particularly unique...or that you feel are too close to any existing Fa'e traits! Thank youu~ heart
