Jersey Devil! He's a vaguely Christian-y urban legend. Pregnant lady doesn't want the child and asks the Devil to take it. When it's born it's some kind of horse bat kangaroo? I don't know, it looks a little reptillian to me. I imagine it'd be interesting to characterize because the kid would have serious mother issues. And maybe also kills dogs. If I wasn't doing the Lobo Wolf Girl I think the Jersey Devil would've been my second pick.

Dreamtime/The Dreaming stories!Quote: "...The Dreamtime, also called the Dreaming, consists of four aspects: The beginning of all things; the life and influence of the ancestors; the way of life and death; and sources of power in life. Dreamtime consists of all four of these aspects at the same time because it is a condition beyond time and space where all things exist at once. Aboriginal people call Dreaming the all-at-once time because they experience it as the past, present, and future co-existing." ...so it is really very interesting biggrin And would make an interesting fa'e, depending on what myth was used! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dreamtimehttp://www.dreamtime.net.au/dreaming/storylist.htm

Adelaide, our accepted 2nd gen kanagroo fa'e, makes heavy use of the Dreaming as a place she visits in her concept. So that would disqualify it for becoming a fa'e on its own.

I'm snagging the idea of Sedna, as I already have an interesting idea forming from it.

A thought for the seven deadly sins/virtues. You could have a fa'e with some split personality if that hasn't been done. You'd have to find a way to make it subtler than a character who pigs out and humps table legs becoming a sweet little angel. But it could be done that way.
Just a thought.

My concept for Shai includes exploration of the sins and virtues as part of his integral character development! That certainly doesn't preclude others from using them as well, it's just a heads up. <3
And I think split personalities has been done, more than once perhaps?

I have no idea if it would be allowed, since it's Greek... or if someone has a Fa'e like it already ... but an amazing Fa'e to do would be one based off the story of Anemos (the Goddess -?- that the Anenome windflower is based off of). You'd need to do some research though because it's hard to find something long enough... going to the library in fact would be better then using the internet I think... but that's a LITTLE excessive. XD

XD Sadly not. Greek myths are on our official Do Not Want list (along with dragons and angels). So while there are still hundreds of very cool Greek myths to play with, they're not allowed for contest purposes. MAYBE they might be allowed as 2nd gen, if Sosi and Anya approved and it made some kind of sense for the parents involved (eg. the myth appearence being similar to a mix of both parents), but otherwise no.

Aki Ana And I think split personalities has been done, more than once perhaps? Yup. Yin (Yin and Yan), Aadil (Dil and the Ragnarok), and Kia (who was originally a mix of two past figures) spring to mind immediately. There may have been more. As it is, I think only Yin and Dil still have multiple personalities right now, but that's probably enough unless you had a really, really good reason (such as being based on Cerberus, Hydra, something with multple heads in its' past life).

Chibi Sheepcat Aaaand I'm going to second it with the concept that was my original one. ^^ The Grim, or Gwyllgi, the dog of darkness. Also known as the Black Ghost Dog, Padfoot, Hellhound, Bargeist and various other things. Yes, its the dog that was supposed to mean the death of Harry Potter, and what they thought the dog was in the The Hound of the Baskervilles. 1 // 2 // 3 // 4 // 5 A British/Welsh myth, it's a very interesting concept, with a lot of room for a backstory. I'd really like to see someone use this ghostee. <3 I'm surprised no one actually has used this yet, so I'll go ahead and be the first. XD I like the Grim. It makes me happy.

Meepfur Woo for Chibi! That was one of the ones I went through. XD
Let's see, suggestion...
Fat Frumos (Prince Handsome), who is a fairy tale figure and essentially the Romanian version of Prince Charming. He's an incredibly interesting character with very interesting tales, although he can be very difficult to find English sources on. Still, he could definitely be worth a shot.
Wikipedia I'd like to snag this concept ^^
