A New Chapter; A New Life
It was strange now, having a child around the house. Though Lutty was the one who ran around and did all the things for him, buying him clothes and cooking him the foods he seemed to like, she was the one that spent time with him, took him outside, played with him. Kuroko sat with him now, with Unbekannt on her lap, outside in the garden and watching the birds with him.
"Do you know why I named you Unbekannt?" Unbekannt turned his beautiful eyes on her, remaining silent but with a curious look on his face. "It's because we don't know what, or who, you are. 'Unbekannt' means 'unknown' in German." Unbekannt blinked up at her, then out at the garden. "That's right, it's because you're so special that we don't know who you are or exactly where you came from." "... I'm... special?" Kuroko let out a small gasp, then she smiled. "Yes, you're very special." Unbekannt looked back at her, smiling, then he looked back at the birds. Kuroko continued to smile, watching Unbekannt

Later that day Unbekannt and Kuroko returned inside, hand in hand, both smiling. Lutty was in the kitchen, working on soup, though she turned around and smiled down at Unbekannt warmly. "Hello Un." Unbekannt nodded, not speaking that he had before. It was as if Kuroko and Unbekannt had their own little secret. Kuroko went off to find Widow, leaving Unbekannt with Lutty in the kitchen.
"How are you, Un?" Lutty didn't expect an answer, and she didn't get one. Unbekannt stood next to her quietly, watching her stir the soup. When she looked down to smile at him she had to fully turn her head, so that she could see with her good eye. When she noticed him looking up at her eyepatch she merely smiled, looking back at the soup. "Are you wondering why I wear this eyepatch?" Unbekannt nodded as Lutty began to chop carrots for the soup. "I was in a fight... with someone who used to be my best friend. First he ripped off my wing." She gestured with her hand to her back and the absence of her left wing. "Then, when I didn't surrender, he cut out my right eye." She lay down the knife, pouring the carrot slices into the large pot of simmering soup. "And now I'm here."

Lutty continued to talk to Unbekannt, and Unbekannt continued to listen. He liked the one winged lady. She was pretty, kind, and most of all she didn't ramble. She was to the point, and Unbekannt knew that Lutty knew a lot, even if she didn't act like it the way some did.
Lutty blinked, finally noticing that Unbekannt was staring at the chains hanging from her one remaining wing. Self-consciously she folded the wing closer to her back, frowning lightly. "Please go tell Widow and Kuroko that dinner is ready, okay?" Unbekannt merely nodded, running off. She put the top on the pot, sighing as she rested against the counter. "... I'm a better person now..."

At dinner that night Lutty and Unbekannt sat next to each other; Kuroko on the other side of Unbekannt and Widow inbewteen Kuroko and Lutty. Kuroko and Widow chatted animatedly, Lutty occasionally voicing her input, and Unbekannt ate his soup quietly. Though once and a while he looked over at Lutty, though she didn't seem to notice because he was sitting on her right side, the side she had lost her eye.

"So how was your day today Widow?" Widow merely blinked. "I finally was able to get some reading done." Kuroko fished a carrot out of her soup, throwing it at Widow while munching on some bread. Widow blocked it with his hand, smirking. "You missed." Kuroko stuck her tongue out, causing Lutty to giggle lightly. Unbekannt watched silently.

After dinner Widow disappeared into the living room with Unbekannt while Kuroko and Lutty worked on the dishes.
"Do you think Widow likes Un, Lutty?" Kuroko turned to look at the one winged girl drying the dishes that she had handed her a little while before. Lutty shrugged lightly. "I believe Widow thinks Unbekannt is more trouble then he's worth." Kuroko frowned, going back to washing the dishes. "It's most likely because of how the crystal acted before Un came..." Lutty frowned lightly. "I wasn't here for that..." Kuroko nodded, suddenly remembering that Lutty had arrived just yesterday. "Well, that crystal ended up doing some pretty strange things, you see how it nearly blinded you this morning." Lutty nodded silently, looking at the water droplets on the bowl in her hands as she contemplated what Kuroko had just said. She finally started drying again, smiling lightly. "I believe that boy will do great things in the future."

Widow smirked at the doorway of the living room, listening to the two women talk in the kitchen area before turning and walking back to the couch. Unbekannt played silently near the low coffee table, coloring pictures that Widow didn't truly understand to be anything important. "Did you here that, Un?" Widow plopped himself down on the couch, picking up his book again and opening it. "Lutty says you'll do great things." Unbekannt stopped then, looking up at Widow and then at the door. He smiled to himself, going back to color. I will do... great things... The thought made him happy for some reason, but of course he could not explain why.

That night Lutty stayed up later then everyone else, sitting in the living room and looking out the window long before the other's went to bed. She was thinking about what she had told Unbekannt about the fight in which she had lost both left wing and right eye. She frowned weakly, remembering the incident. "... Darren..."

That morning Kuroko awoke to find that she was being watched. Kuroko had placed out a sleepingbag, letting Unbekannt take the bed since she would not make either Widow or Lutty give up space in their rooms. And now she had Un's strange eyes peering down at her from over the edge of the bed. She tried not to be too startled as she yawned lightly, smiling up at him. "Good morning Un." He blinked down at her, then quickly dissappeared back under the covers. "Why... do you call me by two names?" Kuroko frowned, sitting up and stretching. "Well, Un is your nickname. Sometimes we call you Un because your real name is too long." There was a moment of silence. "Is Unbekannt my real name?" Kuroko blinked. "Well... that's what we call you... Don't you like it?" Unbekannt poked his head from under the blankets. "I like it." Kuroko smiled, petting his mop of golden hair. "That's good. Come on, let's go see if everyone else is up."

Widow and Lutty were already up; Widow was working on breakfast while Lutty did all that she could to help. It was interesting watching Widow use all of his arms, for most of the time he hid them within his red and black robes. Though at the same time Widow found it interesting to watch Lutty function with only one eye; the way she had to fully turn her head some times to see, and also how she would always become more self-conscious when she noticed when someone was looking at the chains on her remaining wing.
They only noticed they were both watching each other when they both happened to notice. They both burst out laughing, as any two people would in this situation, thought afterward Widow was still watching Lutty carefully. There was just something about her that screamed out inner pain, even when she was smiling.

Lutty herself also continued to carefully watch Widow. She didn't know why he wouldn't always use all his arms. True, sometimes they weren't needed, but other times they could be very useful. She shrugged, going about helping Widow prepare the eggs while Widow himself made the pancakes. The bacon was in the mircowave, and the orange juice had been made yesterday; they were on the last legs of the breakfast journey.
"Tell me, Lutty," Lutty blinked, turning around to find Widow still working on the food but, now, talking to her. "How did you lose you eye? I'm curious." Lutty turned back to the eggs, frowning. "I was in a fight." "Ah, I see."

It was a few seconds after both the pancakes and the eggs were done that Kuroko and Unbekannt came down stairs. Unbekannt wore a simple tee shirt and a pair of jeans, a pair of white socks on his feet. Now Kuroko was another story all together. She wore a blue cap on her hair, a little skull pin attached to the side. She also wore a skull choker with her long sleeve blue sweater what went surprisingly well with her jean short shorts. A pair if blue mink boots topped off the outfit. Widow snickered lightly. "You're going to freeze outside." "I know, that's why I'm not going outside!" Kuroko stuck her tongue out at Widow as Unbekannt went over to Lutty and helped her with the table.

That moring they ate in relative comfort; all talking and laughing, well, all but Unbekannt. But he smiled, seeming to enjoy the coversation that was being held. Lutty has decided to take Unbekannt to the park later that day, and Widow had volenteered to do some shoping. Kuroko would stay at home and fix up a room for Unbekannt, as both Widow and Lutty fussed over how unhealthy it was to sleep on the floor. They then all helped with the dishes, which of course ended in a water war, though everyone was enjoying it. Even Unbekannt got envolved, and they were all soaked to the bone within a minute.

At The Park
Lutty and Unbekannt walked hand and hand the whole way to the park. For the most part they didn't speak, but sometimes Unbekannt would look confused about something and Lutty would do her best to explain it to the boy. When they finally got to the park a few children were already running about playing. "Do you want to go play with the other children?" Unbekannt merely looked up at her, then shook his head no. "All right, I won't force you if you don't want to." Lutty smiled weakly, letting the breeze toss her hair about for a while. She stretched her remaining wing, the chains that dangled from it clinking together lightly, though Lutty didn't seemed to notice. She looked down at Unbekannt, smiling. "Would you like to go for a walk around the park?" Unbekannt nodded, and so off the walked, still hand and hand.

At the Store
Widow looked down the ilse in the grocery store, trying to find where they had put the pasta. It was Kuroko's turn to make dinner, and he had decided that she wanted to make spagetti. So now he was here, looking for noodles for Kuroko to make. He had wondered when Kuroko would finally cook when it came her turn to, though now he suspected that it was the arrival of Unbekannt that did it. He was really a good kid, he was just... strange.
