An Ion has more upgrades and is considered a High-End gun.
A Spyder is conidered a Low-End gun and does not have as meny upgrades as a Ion.
So, Ions are better

I really wouldn't call the Ion High-End, its more Mid-End. It might have some features of a High-End but isn't truelly one. I feel for a marker to be truely High-End it has to come stock with the best stuff the market has to offer.
Take a DM6 for instance. Alright it cost over $1,000 and is packed with the best stuff out on the market. You get the Ultralite barrel which is known to be one of the best 2 piece barrel out there. The Hyper 2 reg which is also one of the best preforming regulators on the market. Then it came with the Ultralite frame which is a real high quality frame with butter smooth trigger and a comfy grip. The you got all the other bits and goodies to add on top of that.
The Ion is $200 which is understandable your not going to get the same stuff as DM6, but it should beable to feel, preform, and be maintained and all that other jazz in order to meet what is "High-End". Ion doesn't come with a really good stock barrel. Sure it is usable but not what players are seeking. Then there is the Ion reg which is good but I doubt it out preforms a Dye Hyper 2. Then you got several other things that don't match a DM6 in quality. Thus I have to conclude that a Ion isn't High-End marker. It has to offer the best out on the market of its production time in order to be known as High-End.
I'm not saying the Ion sticks but to call it High-End is catagorizing it wrong.
The only way to get a Ion to "High-End" is by putting 100s of more dollars into it.
I don't care what Smart Parts says, the Ion isn't High-End. Its all part of their marketing tatic to think you are buying High-End when you are buying Mid-End
