I heard that they actually are going to remake FF7 for the PS3 with better graphics aand a possible alternate ending

I do believe that ad was for advertising only, but I wouldn't mind if they remade it so long as they didn't butcher the storyline cause frankly that is what made Final Fantasy VII one of my favourites, that and Vincent....and the gameplay was just amazing.

i agree i hope they do remake but dont change any of the storyline, but the problem with remaking games they always get want to change something....mmmm

Fejjums i dont know but i know it will be awsome but i wont be able to get it becuase its going to be for the ps3 evil actually nintendo bought back the rights to final fantasy, the games were going down the toilet when they made ff 10 and stuff, i really think nintendo may make a remake of it...if not i am good with my uncles original copy for the ps1 xd

If you read game informer, then in the red steel preview edition from a while ago, there was news that The rumors about a remake were true. However, Now that i know Nintendo has rights to FF again... what will happen to FF XIII?
(Btw, i REALLY hope they remake it... I want to fight Sephiroth in kick arse graphics... ((First i'd need a PS3... But if Nintendo's remaking it I'm good... I got a Wii Opps sry, didnt mean to rant.)))

Money-wise I don't think they'll put an end to the FFVII saga. It brings in way too much money and the Dirge of Cerberus had amazing graphics--they'd want to use it as much as they can. They might not make a "remake" persay but they might make more spin-offs...or some kind of FFVII 2. Even something like that would make me awesome.
Come on--who doesn't want to see more of the one villain we've all grown to love?

It says there is nothing in the works right now, but he says he isn't proclaiming the end for the remake, so it looks like this could still go either way.

from what I've seen, the graphics are at the level of the movie, and after putting out adds, they better carry thu because they'll have an angry mob of fans if they don't.

They havent put out any ads. They used FFVII as a springboard to draw massive attention to the techincal demo of the PS3, but thats it.
