"This face is not pretty in the morning," she continued to say playfully before looking at the food she had prepared. There was salmon, and small portions of other fish and some health foods. Smiling, Raelen's tail flicked as she gingerly put small amounts of salmon, crab cakes, and shrimp onto her plate. "You can start with whatever catches your eye first."

"It doesn't matter to me because to me, your face is always beautiful because your soul is always so warm." The seafood was a delight to him. Now if she had cookies prepared for dessert he might have just packed his bags with him and move right on in because that was the way to his heart. Immediately, he went for the shrimp and salmon, and many other fishes that were awaiting him. "It all looks so good!" His plate was full.

If Raelen had known that Byakko liked cookies, she would have baked some for dessert. As it was, she had a cake in the oven instead. Smiling, she seated herself and put small proportions of salmon, shrimp, and crab-cakes on her plate. "I really do hope you enjoy this meal, Byakko...but do save some room, I have dessert in the oven."

Byakko blinked slightly surprised. "Dessert as well?" A smile was on his face. "May I ask as to what it is?" Chomp! Another bite into his dinner. The hawk elder enjoyed his lovely seafood with much enjoyment. "You really went all out fo rthis meal, Raelen. You didn't have to do all this just to get me to come over." He chuckled. "We could have just had some popcorn for all I care as long as I get to spend time with you."

Raelen blushed, and took a few bites of her food before glancing back up towards him. "I'm baking a cake. You get to choose all the toppings on it," She said quietly before blushing a bit more, looking back down towards her food. "Perhaps I did go a little too far with dinner tonight..but to be honest, I got nervous and thought that maybe you would end up changing your mind and leaving, so...I made a big meal in hopes that you would stay longer and not...well..." Her voice faded as she placed a piece of salmon into her mouth.

Byakko blinked a little. But a warm smile came to his lips, and he looked so compassionate and understanding. His armored hand reached out to her, resting his elbow on the table as if to beckon her own to his.

"I'm sorry," the feline whispered as she gently moved her hand out to lay it in his, "I...don't know why I'm so embarassed." Slowly she lifted her emerald colored eyes to set them on him, smiling gently. "I don't know how you can stand to put up with me, Byakko," she said jokingly with a soft, nervous laugh.

Byakko then leaned himself out, standing alittle to reach, and kissed her hand politely as his blue hues stared up at her. "Raelen, I care so much for you. There is nothing you can do that is wrong in my eyes. You should not fear as much as you do when it comes to me because my feelings for you will never die. I will always care so much for you, Sweet Raelen."

At the words that flowed from his mouth, formed by his perfect, gentle lips, the feline's face flushed. Her skin felt hot, and her hand tingled with the lingering sweetness of his polite kiss. She gazed at him, far into his blue eyes, feeling as if she were going to pass out, her heart warming, and pounding louder than ever. "My heart belongs to you, and only you, Byakko.." She whispered gently, her tongue flicking out to moisten her lips which felt suddenly chapped and dry.

Byakko smiled, and squuezed her hand lightly with his own. "And mine to you, Raelen." Slowly, he released her hand and returned to his seat. He then sniffed at the air. "Something smells good." A sweet aroma was drifting outside.

Raelen was lost in his eyes, until he sniffed at the air. Though her skin still felt hot, she blinked and bit her lower lip. The cake! She hoped it wouldn't be ruined. Quickly finishing the last few bites of her dinner, she stood and smiled to him. "Excuse me for just one moment," she said gently before hurrying into the kitching. Opening the oven, she pulled the cake out in a hurry, only minorly burning one fingertip. Putting her finger beneath cold water, she closed her eyes. "Byakko~" She called softly.

Upon hearing his name, the hawk elder rose from his chair and hurried within. His eyes widdened looking at her hand under the water. "What happened?" Byakko moved over to stand behind her, peeking over her shoulder. "Are you alright?"

Raelen smiled and pulled her finger from beneath the running water, lightly sticking it in her mouth to suck on it for a moment before pointing towards the cake, frostings, and various toppings. "I'm fine," she said gently. "Don't worry about it...what you need to do is pick out frosting and cake-toppings," The feline said, trying to reassure him that she was fine.

Byakko looked so concerned as his hands reached out to take either side of her one injuried. His blue eyes gazed down upon the burn mark which right at this moment looked merely red. "Aw, Raelen.." He sighed and looked at her with such a sorrow. "All this because of me. I'm sorry."

Raelen giggled lightly, and smiled up at him adoringly. Gently reaching up to place her free hand on his cheek, she shook her head. "Byakko, dearest, it's merely a blister and nothing more than that," she said gently while leaning up to press a light kiss to his cheek. "In a few days time, it will be gone and forgotten. And even if it were worse than this, it would still be worth it for you."
