hmm my thread is getting sick and dying. well, here's interesting discussion maybe.
what do the think about the trend of games going toward the easy side of the spectrum? are good players like us going to be subverted by the wave of "casual" gamers who couldnt play their way out of a cardboard box?

Personally, I put it on Ninja Dog on purpose so I could work my way up... and actually figure out what the Hell I was doing. It helped me learn to beat all kinds of a** with all kinds of weapons. I'm even helping a friend get through the game right now. smile
I've done this for God of War, Devil May Cry 3, and God Hand. 3nodding I don't think games are getting easier; I think the people playing don't have a firm grasp of the genre itself.

ninjabbehrens I have beaten both and almost all of the extra missions in black(I am missing like 5). But they are hard games so I am curious. yeah dude, i've beaten both games more times than i can count and i've beaten every mission in mission mode on every difficulty

ninjabbehrens yeah I am in the same boat as you. is it just me, or did the bosses get harder in black? i still can take them of course but it seems like they gained new moves. it has been a while since i even touched the first ninja gaiden. yeah, they have

Untitled Finale I've owned both and haven't beaten either. I had Ninja Gaiden before Ninja Gaiden Black came out. I got to Chapter 3 on that one. Then once Ninja Gaiden Black came out I sold Ninja Gaiden. I am now on Chapter 5 of Ninja Gaiden Black. dude, how could you!?!?

masochistic statistic ninjabbehrens yeah I am in the same boat as you. is it just me, or did the bosses get harder in black? i still can take them of course but it seems like they gained new moves. it has been a while since i even touched the first ninja gaiden. I know! don't they? a few bosses I noticed got new moves, like fatty in stage 3, he has an electricity bubble. and the final boss has a new shuriken attack and a new grab that are really annoying. Ugh, and adding minions are a complete pain in boss battles, especially the cats...but playing in the harder modes at the beginning is more fun, and since ya start with nunchaku, long combo threads are easier. Dude, but the most pain in the a** addition would have to be a tie between 'Evil Ryu' and the bone tricerotops fiends. murai always had the shuriken attack. he didn't gain any new moves, they just made him 99% impervious to the flying swallow

ninjabbehrens for untitled, how do you like the game? get stuck anywhere yet? for statistic, I am different than you as far as the most annoying. I am actually one of the best people I know at NG black. I never once lost to an evil ryu. I beat every mission on the first try. I just nkow all of his moves and weapons so I know how best to fight each form. I also am good at the triceratops fiends. the ones I hate are the cats (in groups) and those new fiends tho carry the swords and come from meteors. I hate them. but I have beaten almost every mission so none of them stop me too much. lol the triceratops fiends scare me because they're so huge. when i was looking at preview pictures before the game came out, i thought they were a new boss

ninjabbehrens you sound on par with my caliber. what missions have you not completed? I dont know. I like Ninja gaiden alot but it doesnt seem fair that sigma is just going to be more of the same. God knows I am not going to buy a PS3 just to play Ninja Gaiden, again. its an awesome game, but no game is that awesome. i completely agree. sigma looks like it's going to be impossible and no matter how much i absolutely love NG, i'm not buying a ps3 for it. i bought an xbox for NG and it was a good buy. but the ps3 just doesn't look worth it

ninjabbehrens Yeah Alma is the weak link but sometimes she just sits back where I cant get to her and shoots. that is irritating, but it didnt stop me. that fiend with the whip is almost impossible. do you have a strategy for beating her. I have tried a bunch but I havent beaten her. In the end I was able to beat like every other mission but the one's she is in. I dont know. she just dodges everything. well it's been a long while since i fought her, but what you need to do is keep running to dodge her attacks and use inferno ninpo and flying swallows as often as you can. that and i think flying bird flips work if you're close enough. but to maximize distance, wait a few seconds after flipping and then hit Y

On Page 2, I Ishtaros (the creepy yet incredibly sexy turquoise one with the arm-whip) - Contrary to popular beleif, Ishtaros is actually the easiest of the three "Captivating Goddesses", in the story at least. Stay on her and chances are she'll use her little swipe to hook kick combo. Block the first hit then roll cancel under the kick. The second you get out of the roll, rock a Dragon Tear. If she goes airborne, charge up an Annihilating Gleam as it has the best chance of hitting. 3nodding Stay on your toes and you'll be surprised how quick she dies. Hope any of the above helps. ^_^ Appropriate repost.

ouch man. He is pretty hard. I generally use a bunch of potions on him. dont really know any tricks to him. typically I try to stay close to the walls, hit him with the divine cidcada slash and other stuff. if you think he is hard to fight there, try him in mission mode with unlimited ghost fish and very limited items!
