((You guys are free to skip me and keep rping bits that don't affect me if you like. I've had a few issues getting into Lim's character lately, and I don't wanna hold you all up. ))

-He nodded thoughtfully, taking in the words softly as his tail twitched back and forth behind him. Such mature words.. To find pleasure out of the hardships in life. But beautiful words at that.

Purring rumbling through his throat he sat lost in thought. These children were his.. part of his flesh and blood. But what was he supposed to do now? It would be rude to just up and leave... no.. he settled himself gently next to Hivu, shoulder pressing lightly against her own. He'd just have to wait for them to come back and say goodbye before he left.-

Nac finally finished with what he could of the necklace/crown and yawned he was getting tired. Dragging himself back over to his mother he placed the flowers beside lim and curled up with a yawn. "Night,night."

Hivu chuckled, "good night dear." She said to Narcissus, stroking him gently, and she knew the others would get tired before too long as well, they usually fell asleep around the same time, give or take.

Hivu leaned gently back towards Lim, she loved him, that was for sure, the only way this could get any better was if he was around more. But she knew he had other duties, other things that needed to be done, Gods did have responsibilities after all.


Kumbu snorted distasefully at her sister, "I wouldn't want to die, but everything has to eat you know. Circle of life and all that." She said, remembering her mother mentioning that at one point.

Well at least she managed to get one that she wouldn't put back. "Okay then, wanna get more, or bring these back to dad?" She asked, looking at their fish, soon they would be able to get food for themselves if they really needed too, though Kumbu would never dream of leaving her mother, not until she was older.

Bu smiled and nodded.

"Yes! Lets bring this back to father, oh he'd be surprised with this, wouldn't he?"

The oldest sibling craned her neck and picked it up with her maw. Quickly he walked back to the group, teetering from side to side with the unusual weight in her maw. Her eyes crossed as she tried to walk properly. The colliflower female looked like a drunken two-legger after one too many drinks.

As she got closer she began to steady her steps.

1....2....3...4....1....2....3...4...1...2...3...4..1....2..3..4

She counted out with each step. One by one she took her steps. However, she could see nothing over the fish she carried and got her paw caught on a rock that stuck out from the ground and tripped.

"Oh no!"

She cried as the fish flew from her maw and landed rather close to the flower crown/necklace that her brother nicely crafted. Two gifts for the one they loved. That was nice.

"Sorry about that, father...it's not much of a catch, but I got one for you."

She smiled sweetly before taking her brother's side. Limbua smiled at Lim, to her mother, and then to her sleeping brother. Carefully, she placed her self over him, protecting him.

"Night, Lim...I hope we see you again soon..."

The cub yawned before her eyes took her away.

Kumbu picked up her fish and carried it along behind her sister, nearly falling over her as Bu tripped over a rock. She rolled her eyes and set her fish with the other, "Here dad, hope you like it." She said cheerfully, bounding over to her siblings and her mother, curling up beside them and dozing off for a light nap.

Hivu smiled, as she predicted her children were all asleep and now she and Lim were all alone. She stepped away from them to avoid waking them while she talked with Lim, she wasn't sure how long he would stay, but she wanted to have at least a little alone time with him before he went.

"So... How does it feel to be a father?" She asked quietly, giggling slightly. "It must have been quite a shock for you."

-Ears lifted softly as the sounds of movement once again drew nearer, offer the soft rumblings of a purr as the first of his gifts was placed before him.

And before long the two girls were back, small fish dangled from their tiny maws. A soft nod and delicate thank you touching the air before the little ones seemed to conk out as quickly as they'd awakened when he first arrived.

Perhaps the children weren't so bad after all. Rambunctious... talkative.. but..

Attention drifting gently as Hivu began to move beside him, he lifted himself to follow her obligingly. Waiting until they were out of earshot to answer her question, a soft seriousness touching him despite the giggle from the leopardess.- "I've never been a father before..."

-Not that he knew of atleast... And still the feeling was sinking in.- "I'm not sure what I feel... except that I am glad that you're happy. And hope that they are happy as well."

-Letting his eyes drift back to the sleeping bodies, with the familar little touches of his pelt, he remained softly silent, awestruck you could say.-

"Well, I've never been a mother before, so I won't hold that against you." She said cheerfully, "I just hope you're not... Upset about it." She said more seriously. She certanly didn't want Limbuko to be upset.

"I am very happy, and they seem to be most of the time, but they are young, they'll understand true happiness when they are older." She said, looking at her cubs adoringly.

The leopardess couldn't help but to wonder how it could be that a lion and a leopard could end up with cubs, to her it was unheard of... She wondered if they would be made fun of by other children for being different. She hoped not... Perhaps she wouldn't be quite so worried if she were to see other hybrid children, then she wouldn't feel like the only one.

"I'm not angry" -He stated the words matter of factly, a strong and swift carrying of the words to make sure she didn't get any ideas. Cubs may've not been his plans.. or something he ever wanted. But he certainly wasn't upset at Hivu, nor any of the children either. Ecspecially with how giving they were.. how they seemed to understand and accept his absence.

Letting a purr rumble through him, he once again let his tongue lap gently against her cheek, before offering a smile.- "Are you tired yourself? I can watch over you all for awhile while you rest, if you'd like?"

"Well that's good, and I'm sure they will understand why you can't stay, at least they will before long." She said warmly, flicking her tail around her paws.

"I suppose I am a bit tired. Being a mother is hard work, but like I said, its all worth it." She yawned before laying beside her children, "If you want to go, that's alright, I understand. But feel free to stay too if you like, the jungle really is a nice place." She finished, laying her head down and closing her eyes to sleep.

-He nodded softly, settling himself to the ground in silence as she lay herself beside the young ones. And softly his eyes flickered over the sight with curiousity, and he found his thoughts drifting to the flower filled jungle.

Lifting to retrieve both the fish and flowers he'd been gifted, he settled the crown gently upon his ivory mane, before his teeth took at the small fish, quite wise enough in his own domain to know the joy one recieved from a present well taken.

Once again he'd leave Hivu before she woke, but for now, and a long while he simply rested, watching the sleeping family with soft pride.-
