Hitomi gave a happy sigh, putting a finger on Shinku's lips, saying without words to be quieter. She nodded, smiling softly. she was relieved to see that Shinku was exited instead of sad or angry. She grabbed his hands and let her fingers lace with his own, and she rested against his chest. She had been so tired lately, but she understood why. No longer was her body just hers anymore, and no longer did the nutrients she obtained from food just go to her, but to her baby too.
"Yes... We're going to be a mother and father!" She chimed happily, giving another sigh. She felt good though, being in the warm sun. Hitomi alwas enjoyed the sun and it's warmth. She wondered if Shinku did too? Would her baby like the sun? And come to think of it... she wan't p[ositive what the gender of the baby would be, but then again, she was in the early stage of pregnancy. She coulnd't expect too much... but if it was a girl, she wanted to name it. She already had a name in mind anyways...
"If it's a girl, can I name her?" She asked quietly, her eyes closed, and she was half asleep, half awake.

Shinku stopped everything he was saying when Hitomi put her finger to his lips. He then realized what this meant. He would have to be careful too. Hitomi and him didn't have their lives to themselves anymore. He would have to make sure that he came home only minorly wounded, and he would have to keep Hitomi from coming with him on assignments. "Hitomi... You know you can't follow me around constantly anymore right? I'm still working with the Birds of Prey and well... You know you have to keep your body in good shape right?" He said then heard what she said about naming the child. "Yes... You can nam it if it's a girl..." He sighed quietly with a light smile.

Hitomi gave a slight yawn, a little bummed that she would have to stay home instead of following Shinku around. His assignments were always fun to be a part of, and she wasn't left out and alone. She wasn't bored. She squeezed his hands tightly, but only for a moment, and she opened her icy blue eyes. "I know... I know..." She responded to keeping her body in a good condition.
"I really hate being alone... Can't you get a break for a little while? Please?" She asked, almost whining. She gave a small pout, her eyes almost pleading. She looked like she might cry. But then again, Shinku was the kind that was firm with decisions, and probably wouldn't. But now, she really needed him around. She needed support. "Shii..." She pleaded, not looking at his face.

"Listen, There's something I haven't told you... It's good, but bad at the same time, but it's exactly why you can't come with me..." Shinku sighed as he gathered himself to tell Hitomi what was going on. "Tonight, I may not come back... The Birds of Prey and the Constellations are having a face off tonight, and I'm the second candidate for the start of it all..." He said quietly. "Even then, afterwards we're bound to be swamped by the Constellations angry from being disbanded... I may not come back, but if there's a chance I won't return, you don't stand a chance..." He told her gently. "Everyone from each group will be there and let's just say there's more elites to the Constellations than there are for us..." He said softly. "But on the bright side, it's my last assignment as an assassin..." He said with a smile.

Hitomi's eyes remained cast downwards, and she squeezed Shinku's hand gently. She burried her face in Shinku's chest, letting out a soft sigh before hand. She moved her arms behind his back, so that she was giving him a warm embrace. She understood. She knew that she couldn't get involved this time... but even so... his promise would be broken... if he died.
She remembered that he promised to never leave her behind again... so she turned her head so when she spoke, it wasn't muffled. She replied simply, "You better... better not die, Shinku. Remember... you promised you would never leave me behind again. If you die... I..." she died off, her eyes stinging and burning. "I'll never forgive you if you die!" She suddenly cried softly, feeling the warm tears flowing down her rosy cheeks. she took off a small chain on her neck with a small circular locket, and handed it to Shinku. "I want this back... when you come home. Don't lose it.... Shinku." She said quietly
She gave him a soft kiss, and attempted to stand up, but she couldn't. She fell back down onto the the bench, and she felt a little dizzy. She once again pushed herself up onto the ground, but she fell once more, this time on the hard, stone ground. She gasped as she hit the ground, and suddenly, everything went black. Hitomi was passed out cold.

Shinku put his own arms around Hitomi and enjoyed the embrace, his eyes closed solemnly. When she spoke and told him to keep his promise, he simply nodded with a gentle smile. "I promise you I'll come back... What kind of father would I be if I just died and left our kid with a widow for a mother?" He asked with a smile, then accepted her kiss. However, his warm feelings were gone the moment she passed out on the ground. He immediately hopped off the bench and cradled Hitomi in his arms, checking everything to see if she was alright. After making sure, he simply picked her up, and carried her off to her room.

Mew sighed softly as she slowly looked up at Bose. Smiling softly she pet him gently on his face. In a flash Bose dissappeared. Mew looked around wondering where to go now. Picking up the notebook and pen as well as her other belongings Mew headed back to campus. She felt she should atleast look around the new place she was currently calling home.
