"Research, unlike his father, Nicholas Moreau recieved his doctorate. He's always been more of a scientist than a business man. Don't get me wrong, he knows how to run a business, he had to, to be allowed to take over the company. But it's not what he does best, science is. It's why he's not seen publically very much. " James nodded.

"But the man has charisma, much like his father. I'll give him that, when I was approached for this job as his personal pilot. Well, I figured I'd finally gotten a decent break in life." James shrugged, pausing for a moment to consider just how wrong he'd been.

Just when Richard thought the mine had run dry, James had offered two rich veins of inquery. "Research on a topical island, the man is begining to sound like a James Bond villian. What research does he do out here?" Richard almost guessed stem cell research but didn't want to prompt the man.

"Personal pilot? Job isn't what exactly what you thought it would be?"

Moreau as a James Bond villian.

The thought made James snicker, introducing Richard into something rare from James... a smile. He looked like he was resisting breaking down into a full blown deep laugh but he didn't. What the thought did do though, was leave a smile plastered on his face.

James went to answer his question but decided to dodge it instead. "It's just... well. You should defintly ask Moreau about his research when you get there. Pry as deep as you can, you might like what you find."

James grinned, he wasn't going to make things more difficult, not with him sitting right here. But if this man made Moreau's life more difficut while he was there, well, that wasn't James' problem.

It wasn't like the man would ever get to tell anyone anyway, James thought.

Richard chuckled, proud that he had broken the man's stern facade. It bothered him that James ultimately dodged both questions. Still Richard didn't want to press the man too much. That would make for an unpleasent ride back. "I will have to do that. I'm sure he's doing things that an old man like me can barely imagine." Richard sat back and focused on the horizon.

"You could say that..." James said onimously then got quiet, and continued to pilot the helicopter to the island.

As it finished descending, James put his gloved hand out in a gesture to shake Richard's hand. "James Brodstrom by the way."

He almost looked a little sad as he prepared to let Richard off of the helicopter. "I wish you the best of luck... be careful out there."

James had kind of liked him, maybe if the old man didn't end up hating him too much maybe he could drop back by.

Richard returned the handshake with a grin. "Its been a pleasure James."

Richard only nodded a little at James veiled warning. Something was rotten here, he'd have to be on his guard.

He retrieved his bag and his cane from the back of the helicopter. Already he face shining from the heat. Putting on his best grandfatherly smile, he stepped off the helicopter, waving to James as he went.

It was time to find out what exactly this Dr. Moreau was up to.

Moreau was waiting outside on the helipad with his jeep. "Hello Mr. Harrison, I'm Dr. Nicholas Moreau, and welcome to my island." he smiled and allowed Richard a moment to look it over. The tall trees couldn't block the tall mountain and the elevated mansion.

"It's good to finally meet someone who has been putting so much of my personal information on the internet." Moreau extended his hand, but unlike the final friendly yet gloved handshake of James. This handshake felt cold and impersonal, more of a formality.

Richard allowed himself to take in the impressive view. It was a very pretty place. That was certian. Nodding at it Richard turned and took the doctor's hand within his meaty hand. He shook Moreau's hand with just enough force to let him know that the old man had penlty of life left in him yet.

Richard grinned as if he didn't see Moreau's cold manners and met his gaze "The honor is all mine Dr. Moreau. Your accomplishments with Feral labs thus far are nothing short of amazing. If you've read the site I'm sure you find that all the information there is unbaised as it can be." Which was true, Richard reported what he found and made no judgement calls on the information he found. CEOs are perfectly capable of damning or redeeming themselves.

There was just a hint of challenge in his eyes.

"I'm sure... just as I'm sure your lack of advancement in my company when my father ran it had nothing to do with any biases that might appear. Some people perfer to have their child to young adult life left to themselves you know?" Moreau grinned, a hint of a challenge returned.

"Well, whenever your ready we can make our way to the labs. We should be able to conduct the interview there. That is, if a man of your age is up for it after such a long and tiring trip." Moreau shrugged and moved around to the other side of the jeep and opened the door.

Richard started walking towards the jeep. Only using his cane on the steps, otherwise walking normally.

Chuckling at the dig. "Naw, that was my own fault. Needed to go back to school, couldn't be bothered. I had different priorities back then." Mostly bankrolling his wife's campaign for women's rights. "Now my good doctor if you didn't want scruteny then you shouldn't have used that great brain of yours to get yourself famous. At least I'm polite about it."

Richard reached the jeep and deposited his suitcase in the back, then hauled himself into the passenger seat. "If your up for an interview Doctor, then so am I." Richard was dead tired but he'd be arsed if he was going to let Moreau use his age againist him like that.

"Of course, I'm in my prime." Moreau smiled and drove the jeep towards the labs. A short trip later they were pulling through the automated gate. The first thing to notice was the sheer size of the lab facilities, many connected buildings that were both wide and tall. Of course, there felt like there was something sinister here too, guards surrounding the courtyard. Moreau pulled into the jeep parking spot near the lab's lobby.

"This way Mr. Harrison." Moreau said as he stepped out.

Richard noticed the guards with concern. This was really turning into a bad movie or Moreau was far more paranoid than Richard had suspected. Either way, it didn't bode well. It also occured to him that nobody knew where he was. A flicker of worry crept into his features as Moreau drove in the compound before Richard could force it back behind his genial facade.

Harrison lifted his suitcase and cane from the back of the jeep. He handed off the suitcase to a guard before he could protest and freed of encumberment plodded toward Moreau. "Lead on Docter."

Moreau lead the doctor through the obsessively sterile looking lobby. Into another room on the same floor but further back. The doors opened even as Moreau got to them.

"Have Mr. Harrison's things sent to his room." Moreau said with a knowing smile. The guard already knew what he meant and would take care of it.

Moreau walked into the meeting room, with the table, and sitting on one end he invited Richard to sit next to him. "Sit, relax, I'm ready for my interview."

The room looked innocent enough but to Richard it felt like he was walking into the Jaws of a bear trap. There was nothing to be done about it now. Richard took a deep breath as before he sat down next to Moreau. He locked eyes with Moreau, his face still that grandfatherly mask but his eyes had a reckless glimmer in them, slightly maniac perhaps.

"Alright Dr. Moreau. You have impressed me on almost every level. What is the purpose of this facility? What is more important to you than the company your father left in your care?"

"This is a research and testing facility of course..." Moreau smirked. He wasn't giving away the goat that easily. But atleast he'd begun to enjoy himself.

Moreau crossed his hands and smiled. "My grandfather's company was founded on scientific research and development. The research I do here will one day change the world. Of that I am certain."
