InfinitiesOfSoules
Tehya was lying on her side in a field of white and yellow flowers, watching bugs crawl up the stalks of grass, admiring how quiet and peaceful the world was today, in a time of such chaos. Her pink eyes closed and she dragged into her mind an image of the summer sun, forcing herself to feel the gentle heat on the inside, not just the outside.

So much lately had been on her mind, so much had been making her feel cold.
-Polar-
Avaru was trotting steadily through a lush meadow adorned by blossoms swaying gently in the summer's breeze. The temperature was mild and pleasant and a warm aroma floated with the wind. The stallion sighed contentedly as he continued along; the long grass tickling his ankles. His brown eyes scanned the area; and to his surprise he noticed a brownish figure lying amid the blossoms. Even from a distance the form looked vaguely familiar. Avaru eased closer; placing himself in the position so that he was before the other soquili. The proximity allowed Avaru to realize whom it was, "Tehya!" He exclaimed jubilantly. "My have you grown." He stated whilst observing her; a grin spreading over his features. "How have you been?" He inquired; arching his neck down her nudged Tehya's cheek gently with his own muzzle.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Tehya eyed the stallion blankly for a moment. Who on earth...? Her pink eyes were sun-dazed and rest-befuddled, but she quickly gathered her wits about her. She knew this fellow. "A...varu?" she asked slowly. A one-time chance eeting. He'd been the very first Soquili she could remember meeting. She pulled herself to her feet, shrugging off the relaxation she was feeling. Her eyes ran over the stallion, and she blurted: "You still owe me that race. I bet I could hold my own now." Her eyes lit up and she gave him a, well... wolfish? Kalona-esque? grin and nudged him back lightly. "It's a pleasure to see you again!

Tehya splashed through the shallow water, chasing her human down. The redhead stooped to pik up a seashell, still running as fast as she could. They raced for the teepee. "Slow down!" Citlalli griped as Tehya shot past her.

"Fat chance!" the mare neighed back, knowing her human couldn't understand.

Something shimmering on the edge of the trees caught the redhead's eye, and she called to her Soquili. "Tehya, hold up. You win!" she called, and moved towards the object.

It was a basket, beautiful and a rich blue. Oh dear. Citlalli pursed her lips. "You up for a sibling, tehya-my-love?" The mare nickered. "But this is only until we find her family, you know." a snort, and Citlalli laughed, picking up the basket. "Okay, okay. Let's get this baby home."

Selene's first RP- Selene/Rahu part 1
InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene was tired of her basket. It was an annoyance. So, stumbling out of it, she blinked in the blinding light. She waved her little wings and stretched her legs, nickering. There was no one around except for a large brown pointy shape that reached for the sky. The teepee. She sniffed at it, sneezing. It smelled funny.

Standing, she let herself eye the sky. Ahh, white pretties! She shook a little bit, stepping forward. She snuffled at the grass curiously, before hearing a bubbly pssssssgurgle sound. Tumbling off in the direction of the sound, she stared into a stream of liquid. Water, she recognized that. She knew about things from peeking out of her basket. Peeking into the stream, she let out a startled neigh, falling backwards onto her rump. There was another Soquili in there!

Turning, waving her little wings, she ran for the pretty flowers. The Soquili! Maybe it was drowning! Bleating for help, she ran, looking for a bigger Soquili to help it.
samus x
Rahu had been walking along the stream when he heard a startled neigh of a foal. Raising a brow, he went in the direction he heard the noise. He was curious about the noise as it seemed that who ever made it was in some kind of trouble. So being curious he went on to find out what was going on. Flicking his tail, he continued on his way to find out what the noise was about and after a few minutes of walk he saw the foal running and apparently towards him or atlest the direction he was in.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene saw another figure and ran for it, making a bleating noise. "Help! Help!" she wailed. She tried to slow, but instead tripped and fell in front of the larger Soquili. "Help, there is a soquili in the water! You have to- have to help!" she reached out with her nose, eyes rolling in her head.
samus x
Rahu blinked at the foal that had just tripped infront of him. "ummmm ok calm down just show me where theres a soquili in the water." not knowing what else to do, he tryed to help the foal up. " you ok though?" eyeing the foal, he never was one that was knowing in how to deal with them.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene blinked up at Rahu, whimpering. She turned, reaching up to tug on his mane. "We need to hurry, hurry!" she urged. "They're DYING!" she exclaimed. She skipped forward, finally just running for the water as fast as her little legs would carry her. "I'm fine!"

Skidding to a halt, she splashed her hooves into the water. "Hold oooon!" she bawled to the Soquili in the water. It bawled back, hooves striking up at her.
samus x
Rahu followed the foal and once they got there he watched her bawl at the image of herself in the water. he could not help but laugh but kept himself from doing so. " i hate to say this but thats your reflection in the water doing what your doing." walking closer to the water he looked down at it. " see you can see my reflection in the water too." looking at the foal then, to him it seemed she was just new to everything like she just came out of her basket. "so do you have a name?"
InfinitiesOfSoules
Slene looked at Rahu in horror. "OH NO! Run! The water is gonna drown us too!" she wailed, and grabbed hold of Rahu's mane, dragging him from the water. That was when what he said sank in and she stopped. "You meanI ran all that way, and there isn't even someone drowning?"

A moment of silence.

"Darn." then her eyes widened and she stomped a hoof. "I wanted to save my new friend and it turns out I didn't even make one!"

Looking up at the stallion, she made a little bow, dipping her head over one small foreleg. "I am Selene."
samus x
Rahu chuckled as she pulled him away and then complained she made no new friend. " well Selene im Rahu. and im sure you will make some friends as theres always foals or others wandering about." he then looked about wondering if her parents where near. " by the way are your parents near by?" having met alot of foals he knew the parents where never too far unless the foal was out exploring on its own. " im sure there worried."
InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene shook her head. "I don't have a mommy, or a daddy." she said mournfully. Then her eyes brightened. "Will you be my mommy?" she asked happily. "Mommies take care of their babies, and you'd be a good mommy. I like you, and you are pretty, and I am supposed to like my mommy, and think they are pretty, so it would be PERFECT!" She smiled brightly.
samus x
Rahu's mouth droped open in shock but he quickly closed it. "but ummm im a boy so i could not be your mommy." he had no clue what to do about this. " but i guess i could be your friend which is just as good atlest i like.." tailing off he had no clue what to say now after saying what he did. ofcourse he could not be her mother as he was a stallion not a mare and she was so happy too when she asked. why must i be so nice to foals he thought to himself.
InfinitiesOfSoules
"Oh." Selene frowned. "Well.... hmmm..." Friends were nice. "Okay!" she said cheerfully. She reached out, aiming for a mouthful of his mane.
samus x
Rahu nodded and then as she grabbed for his mane, he tryed to keep it away. " now now no chewing on the mane. so what do you like to do?" trying to keep her distracted from his mane, she certanly was a handful for him atlest. flicking his tail he kept a watchful eye on her.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene pouted. "Fine, no chewing on the mane." she agreed happily. "I think I like to run. Do you like to run?" she asked, bouncing. Her head tilted curiously. "Does all that hair ever get in your way?
samus x
Rahu could not help but chuckle. " yes i do like to and sometimes it does." watching her, he chuckled again. " so what shall we do? i will just follow you about if you want." tossing his mane, he did not mind being around Selene atlest for now as he was rarely around anyone.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene thought about it for a few minutes. "I want you to take me on an adventure." she decided. "I like adventures. Do you like adventures? We can run there."

Selene RP- Selene/Aurorealis part 1
AnimeChickie
Soaring through the air, Aurorealis' wings slow down as he descends towards a small clearing beneath him. The stallion yawned lazily as he glanced around; there was nobody. He gave a sigh of relief. Another soquili had come to their teepee, and Sisika being as nice as she was, welcomed him to stay with them. From then on Aurorealis was astonished that his hearing wasn't damaged. Chitsa and Kakashi had gone on for countless of hours talking about who knows what. Thankfully Aurorealis had wings and was able to escape the endless chatter.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene prowled the trees, following a butterfly. Pouncing, the filly let out a wail as the insect escaped. "I told you to stay!" she cried, waving a hoof. "You don't listen very well!" She'd been hunting the butterfly all morning.

Looking up, she saw a large body descending into the nearby clearning. AH! Another Soquili!

With a giggle, she bounded off after the body. She jumped over a branch right by the edge, but instead of displaying grace, her hoof clipped a small branch and she went tumbling head over heels into the clearing with a small whinny of fear.

Sitting up, the filly turned and licked her leg pitifully. "Owwie." she murmured mournfully.
AnimeChickie
Tilting his head, Aurorealis heard a disturbance nearby. Looking at the little foal, Aurorealis couldn't help but chuckle. How cute. Making his way over to her, the stallion smiled charmingly, "Hello there. Are you alright?" He looked at the little one with a rather concerned look.

He was a sincere soquili, but that was probably because of Chitsa. He remebered when he used to be the clumsiest little thing when he was still a foal. It wasn't too terribly long ago since he wasn't that old yet. But Aurorealis couldn't help but think that this foal resembled another soquili he knew.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene blinked up at the stallion. Oooohhhh, pretty. "Hello." she said, smiling. "I'm fine. My leg hurts. You are reeeally pretty, I like your wings." She pulled herself to her feet and extended her nose up to him in greeting. "My name is Selene. I like pretty things. Do you like pretty things? Do you like butterflies? I was trying to catch one." The filly stopped, taking a deep breath.
AnimeChickie
Gazing at her, Aurorealis bent down his leg and gazed at her leg. "It seems alright..." He didn't see any open wounds or anything. "Why thank you." He was used to getting compliments but with this little foal, he was quaintly surprised. "Quite a pleasure Selene, I go by Aurorealis. If you wish, you can shorten my name to your liking." Butterflies... Again, he was reminded of the same person. "Butterflies are beautiful indeed." The stallion paused, "What else do you like?"
InfinitiesOfSoules
"Au-ro-re-a-lis." she repeated, carefully trying to make sure she pronounced it correctly. "My name is Selene." she ignored the fact she'd already introduced herself, smiling happily. "Butterflies are beautiful. They have all kinds of colors. I like colors. I like smiles too. And when people are happily. And I like humans, and I like Soquili, and I like food. Tehya says I am a piggy, not a Soquili. Do you like food, Au-ro-re-a-lis?"

She pulled up onto her feet, extending her nose in greeting.
AnimeChickie
Aw, how adorable. Aurorealis wasn't one to get emotional or anything, but his heart was easily touched by this little foal. "Food? Yes, food is good. Hopefully you like food too?" Tehya says she's a piggy? What a curious similarity, something that he did not see himself. Stretching his wings lazily, Aurorealis finally noticed the little foal's horn and wings. How odd... So he did see something new everyday. "Why does she say you're a little piggy? Do you eat a lot of food?"
InfinitiesOfSoules
"I LOVE food. Everything tastes different, and there are so many things you can eat! I like blue flowers to eat. I'm blue. Do you like blue?" her eyes widened as she saw him spread his wings. "So preeeetty!" she said happily. "They look like night lights in the sky!" her horn was itchy, so she rubbed her head against a tree, with a little frown.
AnimeChickie
Aurorealis chuckled as she explained, "Blue? Yes, I like almost every color." The stallion nodded sincerely, considering his wings, he did like almost every color of the spectrum. Glancing back at his wings, "Yea, they kind of do don't they?" He was surprised again that she associated his wings with the Aurora Borealis. Plenty of soquili had never seen the wonderous lights, let alone make the comparision between his wings and them.
InfinitiesOfSoules
"Good, then you like me too, right?" She settled herself down in a ball, surling up and taking a mouthful of the sweet flowers on the ground. "And I saw the pretty lights in my dreams one night. And Tehya said that they were real, so I can only imagine that they look like your wings." She smiled sweetly, mind obviously drifting off to somewhere else. "Pretty."
AnimeChickie
What an odd question, "Of course I like you too." Aurorealis nodded sincerely. Watching the little foal curious, he wondered what she was doing. Surely, the stallion had never met another soquili like Selene, let alone a foal. Her personality was definitely different, yet so familiar... He wondered if she was drifting asleep, since he knew foals slept a lot. "I see... You know, someday, how would you like to meet my friend Chitsa?"
InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene's head tilted. "I like friends." she said firmly. "I would be honored to meet another of yours." she bowed her head. She was growing tired, truly, but she did so hate to nap. It always felt to her that when one slept, they missed so much! And Selene was very curious. She wanted to know everything,
AnimeChickie
"So is it alright if I call you a friend then?" Aurorealis smiled once more and nodded. "I think you'll like her a lot." It was scary how the two were so similar. Watching her with curious eyes, "Do you have parents? A home where you sleep? Maybe we should be getting you back. You seem tired." Before he arrived here, he was head of a large herd, but after they had all dispersed, he came down here. So the paternal instinct was nothing new to him.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene's head changed sides. "No, I don't have a mommy or daddy. I live in a teepee with Tehya and Citlalli... but they are not my family. They found me, Tehya said. And I tend to live on my own, that way I can see more things. I only go back when I am really really hungry." She fluttered her wings, sighing.
AnimeChickie
Frowning slightly, "Well, now you can call me friend too." Wondering if he had made her sad, "Hm. Why don't we head to the lake? Maybe I can show you a few things. That sound like a good idea?" He tilted his head hoping she was ok. Sometimes he really did worry too much like an old housewife.

Selene's first RP- Selene/Rahu part 2
samus x
Rahu nodded with a smirk. " ok since you want an adventure we can go run about the clearing if you want. but your going to have to follow me ok? and i like adventures too." giving a laugh he started towards the direction of the clearing and made sure she followed him.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene broke into a trot to keep up with his long strides. "I'll be good!" she cried eagerly. She fell in behind him, almost bouncing. "What kind of adventures do you like?"
samus x
Rahu kept his long strides slow enough for Selene to keep up. " alright alright, and im not sure the fun kind of adventure." chuckling again he had never met a foal so bouncy in his life and he was actualy havign some fun with Selene. after a bit of walking they came to the clearing and he stopped to see what Selene might do.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene's eyes looked gleeful. "Aren't all adventures meant to be fun? I like the adventures where you get to run. Not that I've done much running. Have you ever had someone try to eat you? That would be fun." When they came to the clearing, she ground to a halt happily. "So can we ruuun?" she asked, excited. "Let's goooo!" she cried.
samus x
Rahu laughed which he never did much." depends on the adventure. no never have before but would it really be fun? and yes we can run now." having a glint of playfulness in his eyes he looked at Selene. " how about we play somethign called tag. i tag you adn you try to get me ok?"
InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene nodded firmly. "Tag." she agreed. Then she took off across the clearing, neighing. She had to... run faster than him! Rawr, challenge. Faster! Faster!
samus x
Rahu charged after her but not after leting her get a head start as he was faster than her since he was bigger. staying behind her, he waited a bit before lightly adn carefully tagging her. now ahead he was enjoying himself.
InfinitiesOfSoules
"SAFE! SAFE!" the filly shrieked, running for the trees when she sensed the stallion gaining. "You can't tag me, I'm safe!"

However, before she hit the trees, she felt the stallion tag her. "Oh darn!" she gasped, panting. "You are really fast Rahu!" she said, but her eyes were bright. "That was reaaaally fun! Let's do it again! You get to chase me!" she gasped, and ran off.

Someone didn't understand the concept of taking turns.
samus x
Rahu chuckled and went right after her. " alright but im going to get you again!." staying behind her, he waited a bit to let her be the one running away. tossing his mane as he ran slow enough to stay with her, he then picked up his pace a little to attept to tag her again.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene gasped, running harder. Geez, long legs gave one an advantage. Gauging the distance, the filly suddenly turned and ran for the stallion, flinging herself under his body and out, running the OTHER way.

Hopefully she tripped him up, but didn't hurt him... or touch him and have to chase him.
samus x
Rahu blinked is surprise as he came at him and went under his legs. almost tripping from that little stunt, he turned around to go after her again. "smart move there Selene." catching up to her rather easyly, he attepted to catch her once again and this time he was not going to let her go right under him.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene snorted. "You can't catch mee!" she challenged, almost stumbling over her own feet as she tried for more speed. That was when one of her legs went out and she tripped, tumbling into the dirt with a squalling noise. "Owwwww!" she wailed, trying not to cry.
samus x
Rahu quickly came over to her. " you alright there Selene?" looking her over, she seemed alright. " should be more care next time." nudging her, he tryed helping her up. " shall we play a different game where you wont trip?" he asked Selene as he really did not want her to trip again.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene's large eyes were damp and she nodded. "I fall a lot." she admitted, sniffling softly. "It hurts. Make it better." she looked at the stallion with doelike eyes, whining pitifully as she licked her leg.
samus x
Rahu gave a sigh as he already was being a big softy with her, and then she gave him those eyes which made it to where he could not help but be nice. "i see now how can i make your leg feel better?" he ask Selene as he really had no clue. but he was definatly glad no one else was around to see this.

Selene's first RP- Selene/Rahu part 3 (finish)

InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene stared up at the stallion sadly. "I don't know." she admitted. "I've never gotten any big owwies. I thought you would know, since you are a grownup."
samus x
Rahu eyed Selene. " well im a grown up who never has taken care of a foal." he then pondred for a moment then came up with an idea. puting his muzzle near where she had hurt, he then gave a small lick as if he had kissed it. "now does that make it feel better?"
InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene giggled as Rhu's rough tongue swiped over her leg. "yeaaaaaah." she said finally. "It feels better." She licked at his nose, before pulling her legs under her and standing. One eye glanced appraisingly at the sky, trying to judge the time.
samus x
Rahu chukle at geting his nose licked. " good." he watched her glancing at the sky and wondered why. looking up at the sky, he could tell it was going to get dark soon enough. though he was mean all the time, he really did not want to leave Selene alone if she had no where to go and if she did, he would rather walk her there then let her go on her own.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene bowed politely to Rahu. "It was a pleasure to meet you today sir." she said, with a bright smile. "I am on my way back to the river. Would you like to come with me? There are some particularly sweet flowers by the teepee I stay in sometimes." she nodded sincerely.
samus x
Rahu smilied back. " ok since you asked so nicely." he could not help but laugh on the inside at himself. never had he been so nice, but then Selene was being so sweet he could not really help it and plus she was only a foal.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene broke into a trot. "Then follow me!" she said over her shoulder, almost bouncing back across the field. She guided the stallion towards the water, and followed it up towards her home, leaning over every so often to tug up a lilypad or water lily. Yummy. <3
samus x
Rahu smirked. " alright, im following." following her and watching her ever so offen tugging up a lilypad or water lily made him laugh on the inside. oh soft he was becoming, he thought to himself. as he contiuned to follow Selene and even had played with her. it certainly was somethign he never normal would ever be caught doing.
InfinitiesOfSoules
The filly was really getting VERY tired, so it was a good thing that Rahu was so accomodating. Otherwise, she would most likely have insisted on accompanying him on his way to... wherever. She enjoyed the company, and so it was best that the stallion went home with her- less distance to drag her (if he was so inclined) to a "safe" place.

Yawning, she finally stopped, splashing into the water. "Here we are!" she said, taking a deep drink. "Water, grass, sunlight, and yummy flowers. My human brought me some while I was in my basket." she explained.
samus x
Rahu could tell she was geting tired and was glad to have actualy walked with her as with how she was, she might of followed him to where he liked resting. " quite the interesting place and it seems you got everything you want here." taking a cool drink himself, he was a bit woren out from watching Selene who was so spunky. he decided after she went to sleep that he would go on his own way, unless Selene asked other wise.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene yawned, blinking sleepily. "It's a pretty nice place," she agreed, sloshing out of the water, "but boring. It's nice for living, but not for adventure. The water is shallow, the land is flat. I have to leave to find an adventure."

A larger yawn, and the filly curled up under a tree, laying her head on her front legs.
samus x
Rahu watched her yawn and almost yawned too. " i would have to agree with you there." he then watched her yawn again and curl up under a tree. " do you think you will be alright sleeping here with out me here?" wanting to get some rest himself, he gave a small yawn.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene smiled up at Rahu. "I'll be okay." she said, eyes starting to drift shut. "Will you be careful, o...kay...?" she managed to get out the last little bit with a monster yawn before her eyes fell shut and she succumbed to slumber.
samus x
Rahu chuckled softly and whispered. " ofcourse." giving a small nuzzle before he left on his own way. he had taken a shien to Selene and it was rare he liked anyone. going on his way to where he normaly slept, he wondered if he might see the spunky little Selene again.

Citlalli shivered, bouncing on the balls of her feet. She'd had a dream last night that had sent her into a spin. Perhaps it was the great spirit, or her father's spirit, warning her of the chaos about to take place, but... She had seen two Soquili coming for her, and somehow she knew that her family would be growing soon. She hadn't seen them, not clearly, but their silhouettes had been very strange.

She shivered. Here was to hoping that these new arrivals would be good additions to the family, and the feeling of closing would stop haunting her.

CALAMITY/ SELENE MOCK RP(s) (that will come into play later)
InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene: *butts Cal with her nose* Calamity, where do baskets come from? Are they like the dolls the Kawani girls play with? Can I have one?
Quiddie!

Cal: *is nudged* Well, don't you just pop out of nowhere? Umm...baskets come from... *looks at Tehya for help*

THE KAWANI WOMEN. Yes...umm...they weave the baskets with foals inside when two soquili decide they want...to...mate...

sweatdrop Yea. That's it.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene: ^_^ I do! I do! I hunted you! O_O You mean... the Kawani women made us? gonk I don't want to be made of basket! TT _ TT

Tehya: lol Maybe next time. Have fun with Sele. >3 *flees the foal and her questions*
Quiddie!
*scowls at Tehya as she gets out of dodge*

Well, I don't fancy the idea much either. It's a little more complicated than that...but tell me more about your hunting!

I'm so impressed! I didn't even hear you sneaking up on me! You know what? That deserves a treat...and since I don't think you're a carnivore, how about my favorite snack?

*pulls out the apple he was saving for himself* I don't normally share. But we'll make an exception if you can keep it a secret. *winks*
InfinitiesOfSoules
*bounces up with bright eyes* I heard Tehya talking to you cause I was following her cause I was bored and I saw you and decided to try and hunt you because I wanted to get your tail whee but then I wanted to talk to you so I got you <3 *rubs her face along Calamity's side* What's a carnivore? How do I get to be one? Yay, an apple! *takes it happily*
Quiddie!
Carnivores eat meat. Like rabbits, humans...and sometimes the occasional butterfly. *grins and snorts softly on her mane*

You don't have to be one. It's neither good nor bad. In fact, it's a little harder to have to stalk and hunt your food first. Grass just sorta...grows everywhere.

My pretty little girl, have you been staying out of trouble? Or making it like I did when I was your age. Auntie Tehya has a bunch of stories about me as a colt. I was...a lot like you. Only not as cute.

InfinitiesOfSoules
*shifts her eyes about* I've been good. *steps away, ducking her head to keep the apple out of reach* Kinda. Maybe. Is meat yummy? I don't think it sounds yummy. I accidentally ate a butterfly. I didn't mean to! It went squish. crying
Quiddie!

*whinny-laughs loudly* Selene! Haha...it's an acquired taste. Perhaps the little fluttercorn should stick with grass and leave the butterflies to my kind!

Selene: *tosses her head*

Quiddie!
Cal: gonk My baby's all grown up...(and hawt!)

InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene: twisted So, daddy, can I have another apple? *tosses her head*

Quiddie!
*stares and swallows thickly before regaining his composure*

Selene, it seems as though you're a big girl now...you can get your own apples.

*circles Selene and inspects her, flapping his wings*

They do grow fast, don't they? As hard as it is to admite this, you've become a lovely mare.
InfinitiesOfSoules
*pouts and drops her head, glancing up at Cal through thick lashes*

But I liked it when you took care of me. *flutters her wings and looks at him with big eyes* Do you really think I am lovely?
Quiddie!
*sneers, resenting his paternal instinct*

Yes, I do. But then, I always have, haven't I?

*snorts and ruffles her mane before trotting off to get her an apple*

Here ya go, kiddo. *bumps her with his tail*

InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene: You were never around growing up, what makes you think you are anything at all to me. *glares*
Quiddie!

"I was there for you more than any member of my own blood family was for me! Please forgive me if, unlike Rahu, I failed to follow you around all hours of the day."

Cal stomped angrily and snorted at Selene. "There will be more than a few stallion fawning over you now. They'll more than make up for my shortcomings, I'm sure."

He smirked and turned away. "Alas, you just like every other mare. I hoped you would have been different."
InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene glared at Calamity, snorting. "I beg you to recall an innocent little filly chewing on your tail. Young, impressionable. You taught her to fly, then dropped off the face of the earth after I grew up! When I needed you the most!" she scowled, biting at the pointy tail. "I was looking for a role model, and instead of you, I got stuck with that!" she waved her head at Tehya, lazily munching on an apple. "Who would rather tell me stories about adventures than let me go on any!"
Quiddie!
Cal jerked his tail out of reach from her teeth but merely allowed it to wave taunting a few inches away. "You had no family, and I pitied you as a child. So I protected you and helped raise you. But as an adult, you were no longer in immediate danger, and my obligation to you, Selene, was though."

He sighed and scowled a big exasperatedly. "You don't seem to understand, child. I did more for you and cared more for you than I have any other creature outside of myself. A mistake I do not intend to continue, nor repeat. I trusted your developement to Tehya and Rahu. Perhaps it is my fault then that you are so needy and emotional this way. Accept my apologies and do not repeat this unattractive scene."

Calamity flapped his great wings and looked down on his little Selene, now grown. He mentally reminded himself that she wasn't a kalona, and that he couldn't hold her to such standards.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene's gaze was almost icy as it drifted over Calamity again. "Or perhaps you did do what was best after all." she said lightly, and turned her head as Calamity flapped his wings, dismissing him. His words hurt- she'd hoped he would still be able to be her friend, not turn his back on her because she'd grown. Needy? Yes, craving attention from someone who had made a strong impression on her in childhood.

However, the kalona had quite firmly placed blame on her shoulders, and so she shouldered it. "An obligation." she said slowly, to herself. Small memories of him laughing and teaching her to hunt butterflies, and this was what it came to. She stood firm, accepting that it was her fault he'd done this- she'd made a childish comment in anger, and he'd told her the truth. They hadn't been friends. She'd been an obligation.

Tilting her head, she ripped up a chunk of grass, eyes watering as she furiously blinked back threatening tears.

Selene/Paramekia part 1/?

It had taken considerable effort on his part and much persuasion on the fiery red mare's part for him to accept that if he wished to be sociable and to extend the name of his so-called 'great' family to the land of the Kawani, then he was going to have to descend from the mountainous slopes.

This was for a good reason though as, many Soquili chose to remain on in the lower regions and as a result the Clearings and Forests were often considered the best of places to meet new acquaintances, potential spouses and even enemies if you so desired them - being a natural antagonist to most males, Paramekia would be rather surprised if he didn't displease at least one stallion.

Nevertheless, releasing a huff of warm air from his nostrils he continued to navigate his way down the mountainous slopes, his black garb providing much needed warmth against the cool air which began to heat up considerably as he approached the forests - strange, upon the mountains the forests were cold and less than inclined to embrace a stranger.

"How interesting." He mused softly, black and colourless eyes fixed solely upon the way ahead of him as his painted hooves brushed rather unceremoniously against the ground cover that often appeared in the forests of the lower regions...he sincerely hoped that no moss or burrs would try to attach themselves to his garb or he would be less than impressed.

Even so, choosing to ignroe the moss for now, his keen eyes slowly assessed and examined the location in which he stood. Taking into account each feature and it's proximity to him and his way back to his new found abode.

Now where were these Soquili the female had spoken of?

Selene sighed, scowling at the tree canopy above. A side-effect of wanting to escape the annoying pest that was her new teepee-mate, Duo, was that she... couldn't fly away from him. She scowled as her mane tangled itself on a tree, wrapping around the branch and pulling her head back. She uttered a low cry, of pain, turning around and smashing the branch with her hooves to free her mane.

Her wings fluttered, trying to warm the air. So chilly here, under the canopy of trees. She missed the sun already, and flying as close as she could. She hasn't touched it yet, but someday she would.
.[ paramekia ].
Crack!

Somewhere ahead of him a creature had rather brutally assaulted a tree and by the sounds of it they were reasonably big. Raising a brow subtly, the royal steed continued forward, ensuring that each hoof-step was as silent as possible to the extend that his robes only gave a soft 'whisper' of sound against the dusty ground cover and dry soil...evidently the canopy shielded the floor from receiving much rain at certain periods.

Eventually though, without rushing himself, he was at last given the answer to his question. It didn't come without surprise though as he was unaware that creatures of such an exotic and unique quality existed in these lands but alas, he refrained from allowing that to shift his expression from the bemused one that he held - that would be unbecoming of him.

"For one so petite you certainly know who to exact your revenge upon the unsuspecting." He mused as he glanced the mare up and down, briefly admiring the way in which her mane had been decorated, he was certainly impressed by that.

"Might I be so bold as to ask, what in the world might have possessed the nymphs to anger you?" He enquired curiously, choosing the more subtle approach towards this one as opposed to the sarcastic or degrading...he wanted to see how she would react and then he would decide on his course of action.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene's head tilted towards the voice. Oh, my. She inclined her head to the approaching stallion. "Hello." she greeted softly. "I got the wood stuck in my hair." she explained, embarassed. "I'm unused to the forest and couldn't find another way to get free without damaging my mane." Her golden eyes were briefly admiring, but it passed quickly. She was learning to mask her emotions , for they caused pain if the wrong person knew of them.

"I am Selene." she said finally, reaching down to pull a last stick from her mane and toss it to the side. "It is a pleasure to meet you, stranger. I was unaware someone so unique wandered these lands. I have never seen such decorations in a Soquili's mane such as those in yours. Do you come from a distant land?"
.[ paramekia ].
So, she had battered a tree because a branch was stuck in her mane. For a few moments he considered this before drawing closer to inspect her mane as though intent on discerning whether or not any flecks of wood remained but he was already aware that there weren't. He supposed her reaction was reasonable but he would have been considerably calmer and less brutal, what if she had torn her mane, then she would be marred...

"Distant? In a way..." At last he replied to her question, taking a brief note of her split second glance towards his garb which he took to mean that she approved. Good, she had taste and that was something that was of utmost importance to him - only those with taste would be granted the priveledge of his company for more than a few minutes.

"I come from beyond the slopes," He began to circle her, admiring the contours of her body with a keen eye although oddly, no lust shone in them, "Through the mists where the nymphs, sprites and spirits of the dead are said to roam..." He purred, drawing near her ear as he released a chuckle and flicked his gaze towards her face once more.

"But I must say, it is a pleasure to met one so exotic as you, Lady Selene." He finished softly as an odd flicker appeared in his eyes before vanishing briefly. Was it malice, lust, considerate...? It was too brief to tell.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Now, in Selene's defense it wasn't a tree, it was deadwood fallen to the grownd. She knew he had noticed her second glance and smiled faintly. Sharp mind in this one. Rare among some of the Soquili she had met, the wild ones that roamed.

Selene smiled, serene on the outside, but mind already ticking. He seemed to come from an absolutely magical place, really. It sounded wonderful. However, the odd way he looked at her made her feel oddly incaded. She forced her mucles to remain relaxed and allowed the stallion to look her over. "I'm honored you find me exotic, when you speak so sweetly of such magical lands you come from." she murmured, sidestepping to draw her head away from the stallion. "You do me too much honor. And what would your name be, my lord?"

Lady had been such an odd term, so she returned it. Either way, be it an oddity of his speech or a title of meaning, you couldn't go wrong with courtesy before familiarity.
.[ paramekia ].
"In order to become aware of my name, one must first give a reason for desiring to know it..." Flashing an almost coy smile the stallion did not pursue her as she distanced herself and instead, he took the chivalrous approach in which he accepted her choice and simply observed her from a distance although she already seemed to be somewhat uneasy...after all she had moved away from his immeidate vicinity.

"One must first tell me why one's name is so important and should I agree to these reasons then one shall have the knowledge bestowed upon them." He continued, his eyes twinkling almost mischeviously as he shifted his weight, his silver mane glimmering almost like liquid metal as the light from the sun's rays above managed to penetrate the canopy briefly.

"After all -" He allowed a low chuckle to escape from his throat in an almost sultry fashion, "To know one's name is to allow for potential for a connection and it is not always in one's best interest to have a connection...particularly if they are found to be wanting or -" He paused briefly to admire her physique again, the glint in his eyes returning for an instance.

"Undeserving." He finished at last, curious as to how she might react to his words. As far as he remembered, the fiery mare at his new abode had reacted somewhat badly to it but it was designed to be almost provocative...
InfinitiesOfSoules
"Names are important in that they provide more connection. They are a... a tag, if you will. They separate you from others quickly, easily. Would you like others to refer to you as, for example, 'that strange soquili with the long red hair, and the silly little rose on her leg'. No, you would want a title that would identify you quickly, securely." she smiled faintly.

Selene raised an eyebrow. "But, if one will so easily dismiss the chance of a connection, perhaps it is out of fear." her eyes challenged lightly. "Be careful not to let that fear cut off all chances that could be... beneficial to you in the future." She glanced him over evenly, returning his appraising gaze.
.[ paramekia ].
"If it was the individuals preference or their place in society then yes, I have no qualms with addressing them by the colour of their pelt." He replied smoothly, raising a brow as she attempted to use his own response against him - he admired her for taking the risk but unfortunately, on this occasion he appeared to have the upper hand.

And why was that?

...Well he knew the way out of the forest didn't he?

"However, I do not prevent connection through fear so much as through logical thought." He flashed a smile as he tilted his head to the right with the intention of shifting his forelock back into place and away from his eye. It was only a brief pause but it was enough for him to regather his train of thought and decide upon his next move.

"It is only through logic that e recognise what is of benefit to us." Releasing another of his sultry chuckles he flicked his gaze towards her once more before teasingly moving it in a direction further away as though he was preparing to leave her alone, lost in the middle of a forest where 'nymphs' may plague her again.

"For example, one who is flighty or easily frightened is no use in a tight situation - " He paused to turn round, his back towards her as he began to walk deeper into the forest, stopping only briefly to glance over his shoulder almost questioningly although by now the sun had lost its battle with the canopy and shadows shrouded him from view.

"Are they?" He finished softly before moving on once more.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene snorted at Paramekia moved away. Silly stallion. However, a high pitched cry of her name from somewhere in the forest had her snorting in alarm. "No, he can't find me!" she hissed, and hit the forest floor, staring around wildly. Stupid Duo! "He never shuts up." she explained, before her image could be completely ruined, though she was 999% sure it was now decimated. She slunk deeper into the woods, trying to hide in the thicker plants. "He hounds me, he wakes me in the night to talk about hair, and his favorite flowers, and how handsome that stallion he saw today was." She bared her teeth, viciously. "He is quite possibly the most frightening Soquili known to me."

As the noise of feet faded, she stood, eyes still glancing around cautiously. "If you go, don't let him find you." she advised, shuddering. "Coyotes would be a kinder fate."
.[ paramekia ].
"Or perhaps you would prefer to accompany me to more secluded and unknown quarters." Paramekia once again paused and turned his head to gaze at the mare as she degraded herself quite a lot within a short period of time for the sake of a stallion who was apparently an irritant to her - why did she not simply develop cloth ears?

"If he cannot see you from the ground or from above then you are less likely to be found." He paused briefly, his voice still soft and sultry as though it was simply the manner in which he spoke by default as opposed to a voice he 'faked', "Regardless of whether or not you are so easily recognisable, M'lady Selene." He added before giving a very slight nod and an almost expectant gaze, as though he was inviting her along for the trip.

Even so, he didn't stand in the same spot for long and instead, turned his gaze ahead of him once more and very quietly, proceeded through the forest, although he had shifted his course somewhat as though he truly was heading towards a different location.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene tilted her head. She really, really didn't like his voice. It was almost as irritating in its own way as Duo's, though one was harsh and grating and the other velvety soft and somehow thin, emotionless to her. She shook out her mane with an indefinable look on her face. "Very well then, m'lord, lead on." she murmured, wrinkling up her nose at his almost reluctant- or commanding, she was undecided- invitation, once his back was turned, of course.
.[ paramekia ].
It wasn't that he lacked emotion, so much as he refused to show it. Logic had always been his friend and throughout his years on the other side o the mountains he had become aware that to hide one's emotions was to give one the upper hand in almost every situation. Afterall, there were few who could corner you or draw out a trump card if they had nothing to go by, now could they?

"Had you spoken that with a hint more rspect I would have been shown at least a hint of gratitude." Again the low voice rumbled from his throat and his amber eyes seemed to flick towards her before returning to what was ahead, "However, perhaps it would be more appropriate if you did not address me with such a title if you insist on belittling it." Choosing to stop at this point, he simply released a chuckle as if to show he was a little bemused by the 'sass' she possessed.

Nevertheless, although he moved on in silence it seemed that he didn't do it out of a desire to be aloof but rather out of necessity as he sought out the various, minute sounds he required to pinpoint the location in which he had intended to go, to the point that he eventually led her into so much undergrowth that it resembled a jungle.

Ah Well.

...At least there weren't any burrs here.

"Duck." He ordered simply as he lowered his head, the two hair ornaments serving as supports as he then pushed upwards and moved a rather large and thick branch out of the way so that she could move through - what she was greeted with was not a normal clearing in a forest, but rather something quite magical.

For what lay beyond the branch was in fact a lucious and very exotic circular clearing, filled with many different types of flowers and a single and virtually undisturbed pool of water. The water seemed to be fed by both an unseen source and a very tiny waterfall with water that cascaded down upon the moss covered rocks and trailed along the long ivy stems.

Above them, a thick canopy that swayed with the wind above shrouded them from view and yet, every now and then a flicker of sunlight managed to penetrate it to project a single beam of light upon the small pool.

To say the least, it was a location that he found pleasant and the warmth that soon entered his eyes made it rather clear.
InfinitiesOfSoules
"Perhaps you could tell me your name, if you don't want me to adress you with that title." she shot back sweetly, carefully watching her step so she didn't tangle up her mane anymore. At the short command, she ducked instinctively, ducking under the branch and pulling up once she was free.

Oh... oh my.

Selene's eyes lit up, gleaming. Waterfalls were dear to her, she herself had one she liked to go to when she needed to relax. She moved carefully through the grass, being care to disturb it all as little as she could, moving over to the mossy rocks and settling herself down on them, curling up. "Lovely." she commented, and smiled. She closed her eyes briefly, listening to the soft trickle, delicate ears twitching.
.[ paramekia ].
"Hm, and virtually impossible to find unless you stumble upon it by accident." The stallion replied once more, expertly navigating his own way through while still maintaining his hold upon the branch. It was only when he was completely inside that he dropped it and it once again swung into position to shroud them completely from view - it was as he had said it would be, they would be rather hard to find in here.

"We are also rather deep within the forest, should you even shout I suspect that your companion would struggle to locate you." He pointed out smoothly, clearing his throat as he approached one of the ivy stems and unceremoniously snapped it from its roots. Why would remain unknown for the time being but he did drop it within one of the many flower patches before approaching the mare once more...although this time he seemed to keep his distance.

"As I said though, Lady Selene -" He fixed his gaze solely on her, his ears swivelling round in conjunction with them, "You need to give me a reason for desiring to know what my birthrite is."

Selene/Rahu part 1/?
samus x
( do not post here unless your me or Infi)

Rahu was being lazy for once and was laying under a tree by the stream taking a late afternoon nap. grunting he had been trying to get the accessories he now wore off with no luck. he now was stuck with bandages and 3 hooped silver earrings on him and hated being reminded of it. flicking his tail as he slept, he beccame a light sleeper after having been snuck up on by the two legger and had woken up with accessories.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene splashed through the water, not for the first time cursing her long mane and tail. A big, black... lump... drew her attention, and she imediately recognized it for what it was. The flutter took to the air, circling around the tree in an attempt to come up behind the older Soquili. "What's up, daddy?!" she cried, springing out.
samus x
Rahu's ears twitched as he heard somethign flying but then her heared the familiular voice and the only one to ever call him daddy. opening his eyes he laughed at Selene. " i can here you from a mile away Selene. and nothign but the usual thing." geting up he could not beleive even though she was grown now, that she still called him daddy. " and do you always have to call me daddy?"
InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene stared at Rahu. "Because you are?" she asked, grinning. She settled herself down next to him, nosing him in greeting. "Need help with those bandages Daddy?" After all, Rahu was the only father-figure she'd known. She hadn't gotten to meet many as children, but he'd just been.... Daddy.
samus x
Rahu chuckled. " fair enough and no i figured i will leave them for now." he nosed her back witha smirked. " so what have you been up to?" he knew he was the only one to have been her father figure or she would have never called him daddy. having know Selene from a basket, he for some reason did not really mind all that much if she called him daddy as long as no one else was around to know that Selene had got him to become her adobted father.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene tilted her head a bit to both sides in an approximation of a shrug. "This, that, and the other." she said. "Not too much. Flying around, enjoying the sun. Spying on people and Soquili."
samus x
Rahu laughed. "you should know better than go around thos two leggers. and seems you been up to nothign ether." he wondered what they could do now a he was now tired of laying down. " so what shall we do my dear? and i do hope you wont think up somethign embarresing." he teased a little as he knew he could just be himself around Selene atlest since she was after all his 'daughter'.
InfinitiesOfSoules
"Awww, Rahu, are you going soft on me, old man?" her eyes twinkled. "Maybe you need a good mare to give you some energy. Some spice. Maybe some siblings for your lovely daughter to play with.
samus x
" like heck if im going soft!!! and im not old i tell you!!!" Rahu gave a fack annoyed snort. " come on you dont really think i need a mare around. and giving you siblings is out of the question my dear." he really did not like where this was going at all. giving a shake of his head, he was fine with how things where now and did not want to get involed with another mare again after Aruna as those where old wounds he hardly wanted to revisit.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene gave a disappointed moue. "No long-tailed mares owning your heart?" she asked, ears going back in mild disappointment. "And you are old." she taunted, nosing at him to soothe the wound that comment may inflict.
samus x
Rahu stuck his tounge out at Selene. " you know me better than to let any mare own my heart. and why such disapointment in that fact? if i knew any better i think you are thinking something." he nosed back and nibbled on her mane a bit as her nosing kept him from geting to mad over being proded at over mares.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene grinned. "Well, I had to know if you preferred mares or stallions." she said flippantly. It would be considerably harder to get siblings from stallions.
D<
samus x
Rahu faked a mad huffed. " i dare say im offended by that remark Selene!!! to think you would say such a thing to me!." he then laughed. " i may hate mares but if one proved themself good enough then maybe then i would conceder but you know thats something very hard."
InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene grinned. "You should know I would say something like that daddy." she teased. "And you shouldn't hate mares. How will you give me siblings then?"
samus x
Rahu nuzzled her. " ofcourse i do. as for giving you siblings, maybe if the right mare for me came around but i doubt it." if she was going to tease him, it seemed he would have to tease back. " now instand of going on about my love life how about we get into yours my daer Selene? but you know any stallion trying to hurt you will have to deal with me first." he gave a grin at Selene and teased about it but it was true he would cut down any stallion that hurt his Selene.

Duo-Heero part 1/?

InfinitiesOfSoules
Duo snorted, rubbing his swollen nose against one leg. This place, this land, had so many interesting things! He'd spent most of the day exploring, with many results. He'd gotten attacked by an angry bears, stung by bees, and tripped and fallen flat on his face while running from a porcupine. Very graceless. He figured it had something to do with the disorienting feeling that he wasn't supposed to have 4 legs.

Trees? he balked, staring at the trees. Trees housed bears, and if one more bag thing happened to him today.... he'd probably blow a gasket.
TWizTed_SoUl
The forest's shade was a cool refreshment after the glare of the sun on water. Heero moved through the shadows, stepping carefully over twigs and rocks. He hadn't seen another of his kind just yet, though one might dispute that he preferred it that way. The stallion had a feeling he was different from the others, and while not caring too much about it, didn't feel like dealing with it. His human was adoring. She spoke only when she needed to and they understood each other.

Scent floated on the air to his nose. Heero stopped just at the edge of the tree's. Another Stallion, this one had a spicy, familiar-seeming scent. He shook his head to clear the feeling of deja vu. If he did encounter this other, he'd just go somewhere else.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Duo fluffed his wings, sniffing the air. Something oddly familiar, that he couldn't quite place. Something almost... sweet to his senses. Maybe that cute baby raccon he'd seen earlier! His head swiveled and he peeked around. Following the scent, he finally recognized it as another male.

Oooh, company! <3

He bounced across the ground, pulling to a half near the stallion, tail twitching side to side. He was cautious now, bouncing on all fours. "Hello!" he called out, and stepped forward.
TWizTed_SoUl
"Hn..." Heero eyed the newcomer. Strangly dressed, mane in a braid. Wings. Maybe he wasn't the only one who was a tad weird. "What do you want?"
InfinitiesOfSoules
Duo's eyes lit up, and he bounhded forward, nosing at the stallion familiarly. "I'm Duo. Weird name, huh? I don't know where it came from. What's your name? Where did you get the clothes? Who you live with? I live with all girls right now. Bah." he made a face. "Girls talk a lot, except for the two-legger. She just sings. Do you have a two legger who sings? You've met Princess Soquili, right? I haven't. I've heard she can understand us though. My two-legger doesn't. Have you explored around here? I haven't had much time to, but there are some awesome beaches. Lots of water." he continued babbling, talking at the stallion.
TWizTed_SoUl
The first few questions were answered with blinking. No one could talk that much. It wasn't possible. Plus it was irritating him. "Urusai." Heero said sharply. He had long since pinned his ears back and backed up a few steps. "Baka."
InfinitiesOfSoules
Duo's head tilted. "What does that mean? Is it two-legger talk? Why didn't I understand it?" his tail swayed hesitantly, and he got the distinct feeling this stallion... wasn't very talkative.
TWizTed_SoUl
"It means shut up." A few more steps back were taken. Maybe he could go around and the stallion wouldn't follow? Something told him that he would. Damn it all.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Duo took a few hesitant steps forward, head dropping. His violet eyes were almost sad as he watched the other stallion take a few steps back and dropped his head. "Okay." he muttered. His gaze changed to accusing but he listened, ears drooping.
TWizTed_SoUl
Now he felt guilty. This was just great. His tail lashed across his hindquarters, betraying his agitation at himself. It was followed by the stomping of a yellow hoof. "S... Slow down next time." Heero growled out, blue eyes glancing away from the accusing violet.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Duo's ears perked up hesitantly and his tail 'wagged' again. "Okay." he agreed. "So, will you answer my questions, umm... mister?"
TWizTed_SoUl
"It's Heero." The Soquili watched the other with wary eyes. He searched his memory for the questions. Unfortunately he remembered all of them. "I've always had these clothes. Her name is Misae. No, she doesn't sing, she plays a wood flute. Who is Princess Soquili?" The bay-ish Stallion snorted, chasing away a fly who had landed on his nose. "I've explored this forest."
InfinitiesOfSoules
Duo moved forward carefully, nosing at the other stallion. "Hi Hee-chan. Can I call you Hee-chan? For some reason it just fits. Do you know what-" he cut off, eyes guilty. "Slow down." he said, tail drooping.
TWizTed_SoUl
The stallion twitched. "Hee... chan?" One part of him was offended by the girlish nickname. Another part was vastly amused and didn't mind it at all. Being angry about it was just a front, it said.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Duo nodded. "It's easy to say." he nosed at Heero again, tail waving. "Pleeease?"
TWizTed_SoUl
He twitched again. Teeth nipped at the air near Duo's neck. "Fine."
InfinitiesOfSoules
Duo bounced, ignoring the teeth. "Yay!" he started babbling again, not even knowing himself what he was talking about. He bounced, waiting for an answer.
TWizTed_SoUl
What had he gotten himself into? The Soquili wanted to get away from this ball of energy. As far away as he could for some peace. Heero only blinked in response to the silence. He'd stopped talking?
InfinitiesOfSoules
Duo's face fell. "Weren't you listening to me?" he asked. His eyes were expectant.
TWizTed_SoUl
"Hai..." But it had made very little sense to him. The Stallion was completely boggled by this other. He had a feeling this was a common thing. So was the fact that he thought Duo very handsome. It was hard to keep from nipping at the braid and tugging on it. It was a distracting thing. When Duo bounced it would fly through the air with him, accentuating his movements. Made him want to grab it.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Duo tilted his head. "I tried to go slowly." he commented, making a face. He bounced into the air, flapping his wings and staying in the air for a few moments.
TWizTed_SoUl
Heero snorted, shying away when the weird Soquili tried to fly. "What're you doing?" He asked, cobalt eyes watching.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Duo frowned lightly, touching the ground. "You are the jumpy sort, aren't you." he commented.
TWizTed_SoUl
The Stallion snorted. "I am not jumpy." Finally fed up with staying in the one spot he moved around Duo. There was a stream somewhere nearby.

Pine needles were crushed under the yellow-colored hooves. Their pungent smell made his nose prickle. The forest was calm, only a few birds breaking the silence. No wolves or other two-leggers in sight.

Heero broke from the trees, stepping up to the bank of the stream. He could see clear through to the bottom, where speckled fish and sepian rocks were. The slow moving water tugged at the reeds and plants that grew near the banks. A little idealic setting.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Duo's ear twitched and he scowled. What an utter.... utter.... utter.... GAH! He couldn't think of an appropriate term. He chased Heero down with stompy footsteps, walking right up to the stallion and batting at him with one wing. "Well fine then, mister grumpypants!" he snapped, eyes glaring balefully. "Walk away from me in the middle of a conversation. It isn't very polite, you know. You know what else isn't polite though?" he asked, tone changing to thoughtful. "When that silly mare Selene tries to bury my nose in a pile of buffalo skins while I sleep. I sleep laying down. Tehya says that is how foals sleep. How do you sleep?"
TWizTed_SoUl
Heero put him on mute long enough to take a drink. He shook his head to dislodge the droplets of water stuck to his muzzle. "On my feet."

With a mischievuous glint in prussian eyes, the Stallion took a few steps back. Heero shoved his face right into the others rump. Water flew as Duo was pushed into the stream.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Duo was pondering, when he felt himself getting shoved forward. "AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" the scream was so loud it was probably heard in the kawani village- before it was abruptly terminated with a gurgle.

The winged stallion thrashed, trying to right himself.
TWizTed_SoUl
Heero stood on the bank, a smug smirk on his lips. Well, at least that had shut him up. He watched in amusement as the Stallion thrashed. A little niggle of worry entered his mind. What if he'd hurt him?
InfinitiesOfSoules
There was another gurgle. Shoot! Wings! Swimming! Bad! Especially when one avoided deep-ish water at all cost. Duo thrashed more, eyes crossing. Ahhhh!
TWizTed_SoUl
The brown-maned stallion plunged into the water. White teeth sank into Duo's whithers and pulled. With a incredible strength the Winged Soquili was almost tossed onto the bank. Heero followed him, having found purchase on the stream bed to leap out with.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Duo coughed, water snorting out his nose. His eyes, baleful before, were dangerous now. "Yoooooooooooooooou! You tried to kill me!" he gasped.
TWizTed_SoUl
"Did not." Heero stated as he shook the water from his body. "I was never informed that you could not swim." He shook again for good measure. It had never been his intention to try and kill the other. "If I tried to kill you, I also saved you. That negates each and leaves me neutral."
InfinitiesOfSoules
Not according to Duo. "You threw me in the water without ASKING if I could swim! Therefore, you saving me may only alleviate your own personal guilt, but does not relieve you of responsinility. I demand you take responsibility for your actions."
TWizTed_SoUl
Cobalt eyes stared at the braided Stallion. "Hn..." Ears flicked back and forth. What would he want?
InfinitiesOfSoules
Duo waited. "So, offer me something." he said simply. "A bribe, if you will." his eyes went predatory. "Or I will choose your punishment."

And as Heero didn't seem to like Duo's voice.... he may rather choose his punishment.
TWizTed_SoUl
Choose a bribe? With what? He didn't own anything, beyond the basic items Misae gave him to take care of himself. Not that he could utilize some, like the crude brushes for mane and tail. What did he know? He knew how to swim, how to tell time without watching shadows...

"Hn..." The stallion stared at Duo. "I will be your companion." That meant he'd be stuck with the other until Duo decided to let him go. He did feel guilty for pushing him in.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Duo smiled.

It wasn't a very nice smile, either.

"Accepted." he said cheerfully.
TWizTed_SoUl
The first two words that came into his mind were: Oh s**t.

Heero eyed the Soquili. "Very well."
InfinitiesOfSoules
Duo sidled over to the stallion. "So talk." he ordered, settling himself down by the water with a cheerful grin. "Tell me about you."
TWizTed_SoUl
"Anoo..." Heero balked, shaking his head. "There isn't much to say..."
InfinitiesOfSoules
Duo sidled closer. "Where were you born? What is your name? Your favorite color? Do you like music? Do you like water? What about starry nights? Do you like to fight? Do you like pretty long-tailed mares?" he waggled his eyebrows. "Or short-tailed mares? Shiny, sparkly, unusual coats and sexy wings?" he fluffed his own with a grin. "Or maybe you are the traditional stallion who likes browns and blacks, and that sexy, pure, white."

He tilted his head, thoughtful.
TWizTed_SoUl
Blue eyes widened imperceptibly. He was thankful that his memory could keep up with it all. "I was born nowhere, not that I can remember. Heero Yuy. I have no favorite color. Flutes. Water is water." His ears flicked back, betraying his annoyance. "I have no opinion on starry nights and I will fight if neccessary."

Heero made a face of distaste as the topic changed. "Mares are mares, I have no like for them."
InfinitiesOfSoules
Violet eyes widened. "You don't like mares? A stud like you? Is it cause you don't like girls? Or no interest in romance. No galloping along the beach with your beloved, no nuzzling them, sharing the pleasure of mating season, etcetera... None of that? That's kinda... sad! And I was born here, somewhere. Duo Maxwell. I love Blues and Blacks and Purples and Red. Crimson red. Love all music. Water is wonderful. I love starry nights, and fight when I havta. What is your favorite flower? Your favorite spot around here? Do you like to swim? Do you like honey? Do you like dogs? I hate dogs. Do you like to fly? Oh wait, you can't. Well, do you have any hobbies? Anything in particular you can share?"
TWizTed_SoUl
He was going to kill the Stallion. He knew it.

"Does it matter if I like mares or not?"
InfinitiesOfSoules
"No." Duo said, after several minutes of contemplation. "I guess not. They are kind of annoying sometimes. But... you don't want the joy of MATING?"

The look Duo gave the other stallion was appalled, at best. "I've heard it's so much FUN!"
TWizTed_SoUl
"With one of those?" Maybe it was a bit harsh to consider a Mare as a alien thing, calling them it's and those. Heero just didn't understand, wasn't attracted to them at all. "Mating may be fun, if with the right other."
InfinitiesOfSoules
Duo's head tilted, ears perked curiously. "One of those?" he didn't seem to grasp the difference, himself. "And mating is supposed to be fun in general, I hear." he said with a firm nod. "But yes, you have to do it with someone special." One ear drooped. "But I talk too much. All of the other Soquili in my two-legger's teepee hide whenever I come to hang out." he made a face.
TWizTed_SoUl
Heero decided to keep his comment to himself. It wasn't that surprising. However, he felt that it was a bit too much after the events. "You have others? I am the only one."
InfinitiesOfSoules
A nod. Actually, a dozen or so. "I have two mares, and a stallion. Only one other in my teepee with these silly appendages though." he scowled at his wings. "She listens to me talk though, because she's small and easy to catch."
TWizTed_SoUl
"Hn..." Heero watched him. God this stallion was taxing... but when he'd calmed down he was a lot easier to be around. "And now it's me." His ears pinned back and he snorted.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Duo grinned. "Why, yes it is." he agreed, tail 'wagging' again. "And what a pleasure to have you it is."
TWizTed_SoUl
The stallion snorted again. "Hrn." Blue eyes glanced away. They should probably leave this spot. Find somewhere else to be. Not that it wasn't a nice place, but he was getting edgy. Maybe it was because he was in such close proximity to a handsome Soquili.
InfinitiesOfSoules
That auburn-maned head tilted again. "Is there a problem?" he asked curiously. "You're acting all funny." he wrinkled up his nose.
TWizTed_SoUl
Heero shifted before heading back into the forest. "Follow me." He said simply. Duo could follow or stay behind. The urge to move was too great to ignore.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Duo obeyed, curiosity getting the better of him. His strides were in skips and bounds, not bothering to remain silent. "Hello mister treeee." he sang. Each animal and plant he thought he had time to greet was, and he followed along behind Heero, still babbling.

Babbling.

Babbling.
TWizTed_SoUl
The brown-maned Stallion glared at his Companion. "Are you ever quiet?" He asked as they made their way through the forest.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Duo looked startled at the question. Then his head drooped, and he closed his mouth, following behind Heero with eyes accusing yet again. "I know how to be quiet. But why would you want to be quiet, when there is so much you can talk about?"
TWizTed_SoUl
Ears flicked back and forth when they stepped out into the open field. "Maybe not everybody wants to hear it." Heero stated. The Stallion shook himself, letting the sun seep through his water-logged coat.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Duo looked at Heero again, pondering silently. "You aren't a very happy person." he decided. "You just seem grouchy. But I like you. You're different."

Steal
Pyrite blinked a little as he walked through the long grass. He was still a fairly small flutter right now, but he was also an ambitious one. He wanted to meet others, to make friends and most of all, to have a good time. The problem was, the chances for that seemed to be slender and really mainly bordering on none.

Well, at least he still had the long grass.. the singing birds and the sudden holes that made him stumble.

Wait that wasn't a good thing. The golden shaded male tripped and rolled across the grass ungracefully ending up in a twitching fluttering heap.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene was watching the little foal from her position in the air. As he fell in a heap, she laughed warmly. She remembered the tripping, and the falling. The memory was achingly painful. She circled around, finally hitting the ground and trotting over to the child. "Are you alright?" she asked gently, nosing the golden heap.
Steal
The false gold and quartz foal got to his feet looking around before laughing. "Im okay! I just fell in.. er.. a hole of some kind. He danced back a step or two before sticking his nose in the hole. A moment later he backed up going cross eyed as he looked into the face of a chittering ferret. "Er.. or I tripped in someone's home!" He laughed and flapped his wings before turning around, still looking chipper and happy. It was then he noticed that someone was talking to him, and not like he was a baby. "Oh! Hi! Im.. er.. Im.. Pyrite.." He looked a bit sheepish. To have a name that means that he is Fools Gold. False, fake.. a lie.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene didn't see his name like that. Pyrite? Pyrite was shiny! And Selene was just superficial enough to appreciate shiny things. "You. Are. Soooooo. CYUTE!" She squealed and moved closer to the foal, nuzzling at him. "I am Selene." she introduced herself, and giggled at the cute ferret. "And hello, good sir. Sorry he fell into your home."
Steal
Pyrite blinked and nearly fell over. Did she just call him cute and nuzzle him? Nah, he had to be delerious. Maybe he hit his head when he fell this time. Yeah that was it.. but.. wow what a fall. "Blue.. sparkly.." He blinked and looked at the female's wings. "Wow.. so pretty.." He couldn't stop himself from licking one of the wings. "Spun sugar.. Im sure of it.."

Okay so Pyrite likely took a few too many falls, but he was at least good at heart if a bit dense at times.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene squeaked as a wet little tongue got her wing. She blinked down at the child, giggling. "That tickled." she complained lightly, and licked his wing back. "Haha, take that!" she laughed, and winked at the foal, dashing a few feet away.
Steal
So the war was now on was it. He grinned a bit and fluttered his wings, letting gold dust float in the air around him as he tried to chase the blue female. She was at least playful and seemed kind enough. He was a little wary but willing to put it all past in the spirit of the moment.

"Oh you can't get away from me that easy!" He laughed, running through the grass, feeling it tickle him as he tried to get closer to the blue mare. "I am fast.. for one that is small!" He giggled and nearly fell in the hole again.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene laughed. "You are fast, little chipmunk." she said with a wink. "But not as sure of foot as you could be." She dashed a bit further, tail twitching in challenge.
Steal
Pyrite gave a bit of a laugh as he lept over the hole in the ground dashing after her. "Who you calling a chipmunk! I am.. a fairy!" He laughed and tried to catch her tail with his mouth, nipping at the long streaming blue locks. "Im gonna catch you!"

He wasn't sure of foot, and that was probably why he soon fell over a stick and rolled across the ground again. He just had no luck.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene laughed, moving over and nudging at Pyrite with her nose. "You don't look much like a fairy." she teased. "Fairies fly, and you just sort of... trip." She winked, nosing him. "Do you know how to fly, little silly?"
Steal
Pyrite stumbled to his feet, a look of intense pride on his face. "I flew for a whole... minute before! I can fly.. just not good." He tried to puff up his chest, but just looked like he was getting a bit of a belly on him. "I know fairy's fly.. its why I am trying to learn.. but.." He looked around. "I don't see other fairys.. so who do I learn from?" The shimmering young stallion to be looked baffled and a little sad at that comment.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene raised an eyebrow. "You don't see any other fairies, hmmm? Well, where are you looking?" she fluttered her wings with a mischevious smile. "I'm just a little different kind of fairy, but I can fly just as well." She flung herself into the air, wings flapping. "See?"
Steal
The fae smiled. "I looked in the flowers, and I looked in the water, and I even looked up in the sky, but I still seem to be the only one.

He really hadn't minded that much that he was the only one though, not until he tried to fly. "Can you teach me to fly?"
InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene smiled. "Well, the way I learned was this." She landed, then took a few steps back. Running forward, she hopped into the air, jumping and flapping her wings for a second. Then, she plummeted. "I fell, and I fell, and my wings got stronger. I kept jumping, and one day, they just caught the wind. Your wings have to be ready, not just your legs, and your heart. They are what keeps you up, remember."
Steal
The small fae nodded and tried what she suggested. He ran forward a bit, his glittering wings flapping as he lept into the air. For a moment gold dust flew around him makeing his whole jeweled form shimmer. Then he landed in a giggling heap. Nope it would take much more in the way of practice. At least he wasn't being too childish and pouting.

"Did you see! Did you see.. I almost flew!" he grinned and ran back up to the mare looking proud. "Yup.. Someday I will fly and I will fly beside you and we will... we will go places!"
InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene smiled. "Alright." she agreed. "And in the meantime, I'll tell you stories about the places. Like this beautiful waterfall, high on the side of a rock. When I first went there, I thought it was where the stars fell when they were tired, it was that beautiful." She smiled at the exuberance of the foal.

Daddy.

Selene tilted her head a bit to both sides in an approximation of a shrug. "This, that, and the other." she said. "Not too much. Flying around, enjoying the sun. Spying on people and Soquili."

"Awww, Rahu, are you going soft on me, old man?" her eyes twinkled. "Maybe you need a good mare to give you some energy. Some spice. Maybe some siblings for your lovely daughter to play with.

Selene gave a disappointed moue. "No long-tailed mares owning your heart?" she asked, ears going back in mild disappointment. "And you are old." she taunted, nosing at him to soothe the wound that comment may inflict.

Selene grinned. "Well, I had to know if you preferred mares or stallions." she said flippantly. It would be considerably harder to get siblings from stallions.
D<

Rahu faked a mad huffed. " i dare say im offended by that remark Selene!!! to think you would say such a thing to me!." he then laughed. " i may hate mares but if one proved themself good enough then maybe then i would conceder but you know thats something very hard."

Selene grinned. "You should know I would say something like that daddy." she teased. "And you shouldn't hate mares. How will you give me siblings then?"

Selene smiled. "I'll make sure I pick the old men then, so it'll be a fair fight." she teased back, nuzzling her father affectionately. Even though he was not her blood, she couldn't think of another stallion she could want as her father.

Rahu gave a laugh. " oh that should be amusing f you choose to do that as i think not many would be a match for you." even though she was no blood to him, he treated her as such. anyone who knew Rahu would not beleive he would do such a thing but Selene when he first met her had made an impression that made him want to adobt her as his own.

The mare nuzzled him affectionately. He'd been the very first Soquili she'd met... And he'd stayed. He'd taught her a lot more than she thought wither of them knew, and he was the Soquili who could make the deepest impression on her. She listened to him, and valued his opinions, even if that was not always shown.

" so shall we go do somethign or are we both going to be lazy today?" Rahu grinned a bit and nuzzled her back. he wasn't one to be affectionate with anyone, but he knew he could be a bit soft around Selene.

"Well, Daddy, actually..." she made a little face, unwilling to admit, even to herself, that this stallion had said something that made her self-conscious. "Do you think I am... Well, he said... 'Your pelt is of the most appalling colour, your wings do nothing for your complexion and your mane is a tangled mess. Your eyes lack the lustre of an desirable female, you are far too petite to even be considered to have potential and your personality leaves much to be desired.'" She turned a little red. "I wasn't exactly trying to be pretty for him, and I hate my pelt color anyways, but I mean... You don't think... And he called me childish and materialistic and rude." she made a face.

Rahu raised a brow at this and could tell the comments had made her self-conscious. "and who exsactly said these things? cause it sems to me, he needs a good beating o see that your a fine young mare who is more than desirable to anyone." he gave a light snort, wondering if he might take time later to hunt down the one who called himself a stallon, tha tmade those comments to Selene.

Selene snorted and lipped at her father's mane. "No one important." she muttered, and nosed at him. "thank you."

Rahu kept his raised brow and nipped at her softly. " oh really, if you say so i wont ask any more about it then." he then eyed her and nosed right back at her. " is there anything else you would like to talk to me aobut?"

Selene shook her head. "Not really." she flicked her tail, contemplating. The nuzzled at her father, smiling. "Just want to let you know what a great daddy you are."

Rahu chuckled and tossed his mane. " oh really you think so?? your the only one i ever had to take care of besides myself." he chuckled again, remebering when he first met Selene. " never would have thought when i first met you, that i would end up having you as a daughter."

Selene laughed as well. "I guess you just got lucky." she teased. "I still think you'd have made a great mommy."

Rahu stuck his tounge out. " i dont think im mommy material. i much rather be a father than a mother as i am a stallion you know and i would be a laughing stack if i was called a mother." he then nibbled on her mane a bit. " and indeed i did get lucky. and i suppose theres really nothing else you need to tell me?"

Selene pondered. "Well... I have a basket..."

Rahu's moth dropped open at this. ".... please do explain that further Selene." he wondered where on earth she got a basket and how. if she had been pregnate he would have known so. trying to get over the shock of Selene now having a basket, he eyed her and waited to hear an explaination.

Selene smiled. "Well.... I was wandering in the forest, by my two-legger's teepee. And I came upon my little Faust. Oh, daddy, you should see him. He's beautiful!"

Rahu raised a brow. " you named the basket Faust? seems you will have your self busey with the basket when it opens, as i suppose your keeping it am i right?" he nipped at her lightly. " so when do i get to see this basket?"

Selene tilted her head. "Well, I suppose you can meet him in another day or so. Faust is pretty fussy and demanding, so I'd like some time to take care of that little problem." she nodded.

Rahu nosed at her. " alright then, but remeber if you need me i will always be around." he gave that rare smile at Selene. " i may not show it enough, but i do care."

Selene smiled. "I know you do daddy." she said, simply. "You show it plenty, I promise."

Rahu nibbled on her mane. " good." he might be stern and uptight, but Selene brought out that other side of him that he rarely showed.

Selene laughed. "Alright now, old man. I need to get going. I'll let you know when Faust is up for company." he nipped at her father's mane and turned, trotting away. "Take care!" she called.

Rahu chuckled and niped back. " alright i will see you then Slene." he watched her go before going on his own way. givign a flick of his tail, he wondered how Faust would turn out to be under Selenes care.

MOON GUARDIAN:

Quiddie!
The little foal that had so oddly asked him to be her mother upon their first meeting was a pretty little thing, to be sure. She looked like the nighttime sky, and her eyes...well...she'd make a stallion very happy someday.

But it was something about that boundlessly joyous spirit of hers that intrigued Cal. He certainly wasn't that way as a colt. But whatever it was, it was immediately loveable and almost infectious, were Cal's temperament and very nature not set absolutely against it.

He found her in a bright clearing, and approached her with a pleasant nicker as he swished his tail to and fro. "Hello, Selene."
InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene's eyes lit up, and she immediately extended her nose in greeting to the Kalona, tail swishing. "Mo- umm, Calamity! Hi!" her eyes shifted, but there was a shake of her mane that meant she was trying not to giggle. She hauled herself to her feet and bounced over to his side, leaning against the larger body. "What are you doing out here today?" she asked curiously. "Did you come to help me hunt butterflies? I almost got one. I was thiiiiiis close." she awkwardly displayed by trying to put her hooves side by side.

A snort of annoyance as she failed was the only result.
Quiddie!
"Hunting Butter-flies?" Cal's green eyes suddenly flashed with a painfully supressed instant of shock and laughter. She really was just too much. But then again, she was hunting...maybe the little filly had some potential after all.

Cal lowered his head to snort softly on Selene's face and muss her mane. "You've got to remember to sneak up slowly and freeze when you're close enough...like this...and having wings like we do helps too."

He eyed the delicate-looking gauzy blue wings on the foal. "Do you know how to use them properly yet? I didn't at your age. No one was there to teach me."

He spoke the last sentence with only a ghost of sadness. He didn't know how to feel bad about such things. It was simply the way of the kalona. But Selene was no kalona, and Cal would do well to remember that.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene puffed up with indignation. "Yes, hunting butterflies." she said haughtily. "I wanted to see what they taste like."

She giggled when Calamity bent to nuzzle her, squeaking and pulling away. "No, no, not my mane! Nofair!!" She giggled straight through Cal's advice. "I do sneak up slowly... but then I get itchy and twitch and the butterfly escapes." she made a moue of disappointment.

"You mean I can fly?" Selene's eyes widened more. "Will you teach me?" she nosed at Cal, making her eyes as wide and pitiful as possible. She wanted to learn to fly! Then the butterflies wouldn't get away! Mwahahaha!
Quiddie!
"Well, you're are a bit different than mine, but it should be the same general idea..."

Cal pondered silently for a moment, glancing down at Selene's pitiful expression and rolling his eyes. "Yes, of course I will. But let's just start with Big Jumps first. Those are what we call wing-assisted leaps. It's a lot of strain to try and fly your first go round."

Cal backed up and took a two step approach before leaping up and flapping his great bat-like wings to keep him in the air a second longer than normal before landing forcefully back on the ground. "See, it's not that hard. When you're at the highest point you can jump, flap your wings hard. Okay? You try it."

Cal backed away encouragingly to give the girl some room. He certainly admired her spunk. And her willingness to manipulate others. Maybe Calamity really was her mother. He laughed out loud at the thought. "Ready?"
InfinitiesOfSoules
Selene listened carefully to the older Soquili's explanation. Hmmm, made sense. Big Jumps. She could manage those! The filly stepped backwards, a determined expression on her face. She could do this.

Running forward, she flung herself into the air, wings flapping madly. She was flying! "Look, I'm flying!" she cried... as gravity tugged her back down and she landed hard on her little rear. "Aaaaaahhhh!" she whined, pulling her legs back under her and standing. There was a determination in her eyes now.

"Show me again." she ordered, then scrunched her face. You caught more butterflies with sugar than salt. "Please?"
