Ha ha! What a challenge this is! Thought Goku with much enthusiasm, as this was one of his most exciting matches.

Just as Goku crouched and was about to blast off towards the Kryptonian, another thought came to mind - Hold on a second . . . why would he retreat to the skies and want to carry on the battle there? Wait . . . my Taiyoken . . . he became incredibly stronger right after I used that technique . . . and with amplified sun rays . . . retreating closer to the sun . . . sunlight gives him strength! Thought the Saiyan as he put the pieces of the puzzle together.

With this new found assumption in mind, Goku figured he would have to try and keep the battle relatively low in altitude. The Z Fighter dashed upwards with his bright golden ki aura surrounding him, as he reached the Man of Steel in a few seconds. As he came closer, Goku smoothly spun backwards, and flipping backwards at the same time, attempting to smash Superman downwards with a double flat-footed kick to both of his shoulders.

Goku quickly used Superman's hands to push himself upwards about ten metres. Just as he came to a halt, preparing his next move, he saw the Kryptonian greatly inhale. Woah . . . what's he planning to shoot out of his mouth? Piccolo, Nappa and Reccome all used ki blasts from their mouths, but this guy doesn't use ki at all. It's a different form of energy. I'd better brace myself. Thought Goku, seeing as the Man of Steel was ready to shoot at any second, and didn't have nearly enough time to dodge. Knowing this, Goku crossed his arms in an 'X' formation, crouching in the air, as he prepared to take the brunt of the attack. "Give me your best shot!" Said Goku, ready for whatever Superman had in store for him.

Goku did become incredibly cold, though no freezing effect took place. Also, the Saiyan was not expecting Superman to stop the attack so abruptly, thus he was caught off guard, and the uppercut came into clean contact with his chin, as Goku was sent hurling through the skies, far away into the distance.

As the Z Fighter regained himself in the distance, he shrugged away the cold feeling, and got into a traditional stance. Crouching in the air, Goku began to cup his hands by his side, as a bright blue ball of ki began to form between them, with bright beams of blue light shining between his fingers.

The Saiyan then flared up his golden aura, and began to charge at the Kryptonian while still powering his ki attack. As Goku made his way to Superman from the far distance, a feint sound could be heard, "Ka . . . me . . . ha . . ." until it became much louder as he came closer. "Me . . . HA!" Roared Goku, as he fired the beam at the Man of Steel while a mere five metres from him.

"That was my Kamehameha wave!" Yelled Goku with a smile. "It's one of my favorite attacks." Goku then took a moment to catch his breath after such a large attack. Still having much energy left over, the Saiyan burst off, seeming to disappear. Within the second, he had re-appeared, but only a short distance ahead. Goku continued to use this zanzoken combination to keep the Man of Steel guessing where he would appear next. After nearly ten seconds of rapid appearing and disappearing in various places, Goku finally stopped behind Superman, making his body parallel to the ground below, pulling back his leg, and releasing it with great force directed towards the Kryptonian's right shoulder.

The heat vision blast came into contact with Goku's foot, as he was sent back hundreds of metres due to the force. Re-directing the beam away from his foot would be difficult, as Goku knew that if his foot slipped the beam would come into contact with his torso. Finally, Goku formulated a plan just in time, as he extended one arm, firing a ki ball which curved inwards, knocking the heat vision blast to the side. Goku nearly hit the ground, but was able to slow down himself just enough to land on it. That eye beam was a lot more powerful than last time. No wonder I was pushed down down this far. Thought Goku, wondering what other tricks Superman had.

However, while Goku fended off the heat vision blast, Superman had already closed the gap between them, and was ready to attack. The Z Fighter did not have enough time to prepare for this assault, and was hit with a clean uppercut to the jaw, followed by the knee and jab. Still, Goku refused to take the beating without some kind of exchange, and surprisingly grabbed the Man of Steel's hands just as they were coming down to smash him. Now having more control over the situation, the Saiyan placed a much tighter grip on Superman's hands, and attempted to swing him around several times, eventually, releasing him into a nearby mountain.

Goku tried to outmatch the Man of Steel in punching speed, but for the moment, they seemed to be equally matched. For the three punches aimed at Goku, he countered with a mirror image attack, causing their fists to collide, making massive shockwaves in the air, shaking the area aroud them. Seeing the need to land a hit before the Kryptonian, Goku responded to Superman's left hook with a left hook of his own. By the time Superman's left hook had come into contact with the side of Goku's face, causing much pain, the Saiyan's fist was mere inches from the Man of Steel's face as well.

Goku was happy to see his friends show up for support. Even Vegeta was there, though he stood silently, cross-armed. He then took notice of the crowd on the opposite side of the battlefield. Those must be my opponent's friends. Thought Goku, as a tiny giggle escaped his mouth. They sure dress strangely. The Saiyan noticeably saw Batman, in a black cape, black mask, and shady outfit. He then took a look at the Flash. All red, with a golden lightning bolt on his chest and golden lightning accessories on the sides of his head. Guess their style is truly unique.

"Hey, are you part of some kind of team?" Yelled Goku, seeing as the outfit style Superman was in resembled that of his team mates; very colourful with some kind of symbol on it. After asking the question, Goku looked back to see a blur infront of him. This, however, was tens of punches all aimed at various parts of the Saiyan's body. Goku used his hands, forearms, and knees to block nearly all the hits, though some managed to get through. This also created a blur infront of the Z Fighter. After both fighters slightly backing up, Goku retreated a great distance, but the rest period only remained for a few seconds. As he was flying backwards, the Saiyan charged up two giant ki balls in each hand, far larger than his own hands, making his hands bright and completely surrounded by ki. After extending them both towards Superman, a loud "HA!" roared from the distance, as hundreds of semi-charged ki blasts hurled at the Man of Steel, coming from many different directions. Some were arched, curving towards the Kryptonian, and some were directly straight. The two giant ki orbs remained in Goku's hands, as he kept up this massive ki assault.
