How come it seems like everyone played theme songs from movies or what not? Here, we played: A whole bunch of corny Christmas music for an assembly Variations on a Korean Folk Song New Wade'N Water Circus Bee Fantasia on the Dargason (sp?) Rhythm Machine and one more that I can't remember... For NHUSD Solo and Ensemble Festival, my sis, friend, and I played Scherzo from Grand Trio, Op. 90 and Minuet and Trio from String Quartet Op. 3, No. 5 We didn't play that much because we spent like half a year on Variations...it was originally written for college bands, but high school bands will play it, and we were only a middle school band...

Marching Season: Grease! --We Go Together/Greased Lightnin' --Shakin' At The High School Hop --Beauty School Drop Out --Born To Hand Jive/ We Go Together
Concert Season: Wind Ensemble (hardest literature of our three bands) --March Of The Belgian Paratroopers *Nice march* --Canjun Folk Songs *Cool Song* --Antithigram *Totally awesome crazy song* --The Third Vortex *Also Totally awesome crazy song... with a 'bong'! {A Bowed gong... run the bow on the edge of the gong blaugh } --Invincible Spirit *Composer wrote it for my Band Director when he was at a different school* --Concerto For Trombone and Band {With special guest MSU Trombone Professor Ava Ordman}*3 movements of challenge. Movement 2 was in Gb concert (which sparked our band director to give us a playing test on it), but it was fun, we pulled it off and Ordman was happy with us*
Miscellaneous Songs For Different Functions And Some Songs The Other Bands Played: --Lion King Medley --Phantom Of The Opera --Joyant Winds --Incantations --Magical Mystery Tour/Hard Day's Night (Taken from our 03/04 Marching show) --Eleanor Rigby (Also from our 03/04 show)*w/ a Trumpet solo played by me 4laugh --Pomp And Circumstance
Yeah, a lot more was played, but not worth putting up here because we used them for sight reading purposes or only played through them a few times xp
