With the little amount of information they give to us about it, it could be pretty much anything. eek
Leamony, while I do think that's something Mr. Snicket would write, I still don't think that's what's going to happen. He wouldn't make it seem so important if that's what's inside. wink

Bryn McCardell Tabiera My friend Keri and I have a theory that the entire series is really just a children's game, evidenced by some of the pictures in the Unauthorized Autobiography. If she's right, I bet it's cookies. xd I am adopting that as my theory nowIt would have to be one freaking big cookie! Besides, that would kind of destroy the purpose for me.

And no gun would fin into a sugar bowl you dolt. A very small pistol might be able to... sweatdrop But anyways, being polite about it, I don't think it's a gun either, there are too many other creative ways of killing people off.

I have a theory. I do believe that the sugar bowl contains top secret papers, but not the kind that some would expect. I think it could be one of two kinds of a message.
1) Information that will clear Snicket's name before both sides of the schism. There is no proper back up to this theory.
2) One rumor is that the Baudelaires are being trained to join VFD. Another is that Mr. Poe knows exactly what the children are going through or that he is the "Man with no hair and a beard" mentioned in book ten. (His sister, Eleanor, would be the "Woman with no beard but has hair", as VFD notably likes siblings, especially in groups of three.) It may be that the sugar bowl contains initiation papers for the Baudelaires. However, whichever side of the schism gives it to them gets to make them their own. Count Olaf would want them on HIS side of the schism, and the Snickets would prefer them on THEIR side. It's unlikely, but it's my favored theory at the moment.

Here are reasons why: 1. Count Olaf was afraid of them. He's seen Poe many times and wasn't afraid. 2. Snicket was afraid of saying their names. He's said Poe many times. 3. The Baudelaires didn't recognize TBMWTBBNH. They know Mr. Poe. So in confirmation, idea flushed down the toilet. (I have a theory that the big curved ship that scared both Widdershins and Olaf is the ship of TBMWTBBNH and TWWHBNB.

As for the ship, I'm pretty sure that was a given. sweatdrop TBMWTBBNH and TWWHBNB are the only thing that have ever scared Olaf, and I doubt that it's changed.

I'm going off the idea that it is a recording device.
It contains the important information that could end the schism if the good side gets it but if the bad side gets it they will finally end VFD and get both sets of triplets fortunes.

Well, just remember that it has to be something water-proof of Olaf and everyone still wants it after getting thrown in the water.

bluecelebi Well, just remember that it has to be something water-proof of Olaf and everyone still wants it after getting thrown in the water. It doesn't necessarily have to be water proof, it could be sealed inside the sugar bowl where no water can reach it. (kind of like plastic tupperware.)

I think the sugar Bowl contains some sort of map that can lead them to one of their parents. It's a stupid ideo but that's what I think.
