Richard gunted as he set down his end of the log, and wasting no time in sitting down on it. "The, name is, Richard." He said between pants, still trying to catch his breath. He wiped his brow with a hankerchief he pulled from his pocket. He idly wondered why he felt so... old lately. It must be heat, he had to see about getting some clothes beside these suits. They weren't proper attire for the carribean.
After he recovered his breath he turn to look at the young lady who was peering at him. She looked familar but Richard couldn't find a name to go with the face. "Maybe. I used to travel widely and have a bad habit of chatting the ears off of perfect strangers. Your name is...?"

At the sound on a farmilliar voice, Alys snapped out of her thoughts, turning slightly, "Huh?"
Then she saw Alex, "Oh, hey Alex, How're yo--" Then the changes were noticed, subtle changes, if anything. But you knew they were there. His hand was first, a lack of fingers, feathers, his hair was looking a little feathery too.
"You... changed?" She started thinking back to how long ago she had seen him. A week, maybe? She stepped a little closer to him.
Oh right, he asked a question, "Oh, the bonfire, uhm. Yeah, after I finished my piece of fish..."

He still had a few fingers on his hands, but there was definantly a lack of some of them. "Huh? Oh, yeah, a bit..." Alex decided against asking her how he looked, since it wasn't exactly a question he wanted an answer to, so instead he stuck his hand back in his coat pocket and nodded some. "Oh, well, I saw it from my duplex, so I figured I might as well investigate."
And with that, he started to walk down with her towards the bonfire. "I hadn't see you recently. You doing well?", he asked. "And do you know whats going on? Reminds me of some parties I used to fly folks to back in the days."

"I've been hiding out in my duplex. Haven't been feeling quite right the last couple of days," She replied, "Maybe I have caught a cold," She chuckled.
"No idea what it's about, maybe it's just a way for the islanders to meet or something... Unless it's some weird satanic ritual and they're gonna sacrifice a goat-man to the devil?" She somehow doubted the latter. There were a few people there, and she didn't recognise many, if any of them...
"Hope they have booze... cause I could use some."

"Ah, well, I told you that you'd catch a cold if you didn't take care of yourself." He reached over and tapped her on the nose with his altered hand and then blinked, realizing what he did. "Uh, sorry", he said, stuffing the hand once more into the safety of his coat pocket, walking down till the fire isn't too far away.
"Well, I don't see any goats down there. Or any roasted pig villagers either. So I think we're safe from satanic rituals and luaus." He didn't recognize anyone down by the fire either, but hey, it was a chance to socialize or something.

Alys blinked as Alex tapped her nose. Twitching it and grinning, a brow raised, "It's okay," she replied, sticking her tongue out at him playfully.
"Hmm, maybe not... unless they're saving it for midnight," She raised all six appendages in a sarcastic frightened manner, biting her lip. Then mentally slapped herself for being lame.
"So, um... anyway... Did your change, you know. Did it hurt?" She had no idea why she was asking this, maybe she didn't want him to go through the pain she did when she changed... Argh. Emotions.

Alexander nodded some as he walked down towards the fire. He chuckled a bit at her joke. Ok, it wasn't as lame as it was silly to see someone with tentacles looking afraid.
He looked over a bit, after her question though, and nodded. "Yeah...", he said quietly, before turning to look back to the others gathered. "Hey folks! Whats going on?", he asked, calling out to the the group, making his way down towards them with his hands in his pockets.

Alys decided to stay behind as Alex walked towards the group, glancing at her tentacles, moving them. The tips turning into, what could be called fists. She gave a quiet sigh and watched the people around the fire. Some weren't changed at all, some probably only found out the truth recently...
It depressed her, and booze was quickly sounding like a brilliant idea. Why was it hotter than usual? She wasn't even that close to the fire.
She shook it off as best as she could, and walked towards the others finally, looking around. Quiet. Quiet never angered people. Quiet was less likely to get attention. Tentacles made not getting attention impossible now. Damn things.

((0% knows about the people))
Malic saw the orange glow coming from the beach and made his way over, curious about the setup. He was shuffling a deck of cards, the fact that it was too dark to see much once on the beach didn't bother him in the slightest as he could shuffle the pack blindfolded.
There were people already sitting by the crackling fire, their shadows flickered behind them as if dancing to the flames' voice. His foot steps were cushioned by the sand so the only alert to his approach was the flit of the playing cards in his nimble hands.
"Mind if I join you?" He asked, standing on the outskirts of the little group, spreading the cards out on his palm then closing them again.

They sat the log gently on the ground, and the old man wasted no time sitting. Casey sat down unnervingly next to him, and the two sat in awkward silence. Finally the old man spoke. "The, name is, Richard. I used to travel widely and have a bad habit of chatting the ears off of perfect strangers. Your name is...?" Casey contemplated this for a moment. “Not you too?” Her expression oozed concern. “I’m so sorry…” She apologized. “Casey… We met at Starbucks in Georgia.” She shuffled your feet, trying to distract herself from the uneasy feeling in the pit of her stomach. She picked up her guitar and slumped onto the dirt with her back against the log. “I’m so terribly sorry…” She stared at the dirt for a moment longer before turning her gaze to the man who had helped them. “Nice to meet you, Glacus…” She opened her mouth to speak more, but words escaped her. “Thanks for helping us…” She spoke softly.

Tristan continued to tell his stories as people continued to appear around the campfire. As he continued, the tales became progressively stranger and more surreal, while still being incredibly engrossing. Tristans own enthrallment in his telling could easily been by all as that of someone who loved what he did and was damn good at it.
Finally, deciding that all preformances must end, if even just for a little while he worked towards the finale of his current tale. Describing the horrific setting that was the finale, he took a packet out of his greatcoat and flung its contents upon the bonfire. Upon landing, the flames changed colors from the normal yellow red to an eerie shade of green, a perfect atmosphere in his mind for what he had planned. Finishing his tale with a great flourish and an air of ominous mystery hanging, he sat himself down to rest.

Katina was listening to Tristan's story when the flame from the bonfire changed color. She jumped back a little startled then stared in awe at the fire. When his story ended she wanted him to continue for she wanted to know what happened but she could see that he was getting tired.
She then slowly got up and walked over to where he was sitting," Hello there, that was a most impressive story you told, may I ask where you got it from?" Her small tail wagged and her eyes gleamed with curiosity.

The ex-pilot walked down towards the fire, before realizing that there were some stories being told there. Unfortunately for him, he seemed to be catching the tail end of some great tale. He shrugged a bit, and looked over to Tristan. "Hello...", he said to the folks gathered around, although he looked back towards Tristan, wondering why the person looked familiar to him. Maybe it was just his imagination.
"Looks like I missed the story hour. Sorry I got here late...", he mentioned, still keeping his hands stuffed in his coat pockets.
