Billy lolled his head back around, taking another swig from his waterbottle, "We there yet?"

Jamal scowled and barely resisted the urge to dump him out of his wheelchair and run away laughing gleefully.
"Jus' a second," he said instead, steel in his voice, as he neared the rushing cascade of water, only stopped when the light mist kicked up from the waterfall could be felt boiling against their faces. "Where 'xactly we goin' now?"

Billy clutched the closed waterbottle in a tentacle as he suddenly scooted clumsily out of his chair down onto his chest and stomach and crawled towards the water's edge, "Leave th'chair there- bu' it's on th'other side!" It took him a few minutes, but once he slipped under the water, he rocketed towards the churning falls and dissappeared underneith.

Jamal was mildly alarmed when the man more or less oozed out of his chair but when he hit the water, the tiger shrugged. Okay, apparently this was part of the plan? The waterfall looked like it kicked up a fairly strong current beneath the rough rush of water from above...Jamal hadn't tried to swim in anything like that before. It didn't seem like he had an option; Billy hadn't wasted any time. Without a clue of there being a landbridged to the back of the falls, he was resigned to doing it the Billy way.
The tiger timidly entered the water just shy of the rolling water, eyes quickly scanning for the place of least turbulence before sucking in a deep breath and diving downward. He didn't go far before he felt himself being battered by the water and he nearly exhaled his held breath as it beat strongly on his submerged body.

The drunken octopus was hanging from a rock on the other side, glancing around the wide, dark, echoing cave with interest, his eyes distant lost in the memories he had of the place. "We're checkin' fer cameras. Give me a cigarette." His tentacle was shaking as he held it out to the Tiger urgently.

Jamal had barely surfaced and clung to a rock of his own before Billy's demand caught him by surprise. The man growled and waved Billy's offered tentacle away.
"Christ, give me a ********' second already," he hissed, coughing wetly from inadvertently snorting some water up his nose with the impact of the falls on his back, and bodily heaved himself up onto the 'shore'.
It took a few seconds for him to settle. He coughed a few times and shook himself as dry as he could managed before he finally jammed his clawed hand into his jean pocket. He had tied his cig baggie to the scraps of cloth that remained of his pocket to protect them from being snagged on branches when he wandered the jungle at night. In it were a few slightly bent cigarettes and a beat up but functional lighter. Jamal grumpily handed one smoke to Billy and brandished the lighter in case it was needed. He didn't think Octo-man could manipulate the lighter.

Billy's eyes were wide, searching for any hidden cameras. He even crawled up onto the rock for better visibility as he nodded for Jamal to do his duty, "If I'm buzzed, jes' fish me out..."

Jamal's brow quirked. Why the ******** would they buzz someone for having a damn smoke?
"Uh, a'ight." What else was he going to say?
He didn't ask though and instead clicked the lighter a few times until a steady flame showed at the tip, which he then held to Billy's smoke.

Billy's heart pounded, his spines flairing across his back and head as he inhaled slow and steadily, his shrunken lungs not taking long befor he erupted in a fit of coughing. "S'been bloody weeks!!" He groaned as though that one breath had been orgasmic. "WEEKS!"

Jamal was sorely out of the loop, it seemed.

Billy gave a snicker, which soon lead to a chuckle, which soon turned into a giggle, which then errupted in a hearty, slightly maddened cackle. "HE THOUGH' HE COUL' STOP ME!! HE THOUGH' HE COU' BREAK ME! Big Red'd feckin' ZAP me no sooner'n I bring th'lighter up, o' bring a bottle t'me lips! Took away wha' was left o' me blow... feckin' shame, bloody god damn FECKIN' shame, bu' I'm doin' okay... I'm doin' okay, I'm tellin' ye," He gave him with he hoped was an assuring wave of a tentacle. "There aint no cameras here.

Jamal gave Billy a look that bordered on nervous and tense. What the hell was WRONG with this guy?
"....right. So uh, no cameras. Dat's good." He looked around the cave, wonder what to do now. He was stuck with a drunken, raging octopus and was in posession of some potentially awesome information.
"...so, we know where them chips go now, 'pparently. So...ya think we could cut 'em out ourselves?"

"Cut 'em out ourselves?" Billy took another blissfull drag, exhailing from the hole in his ear. He raised a tentacle to poke at the back of his head with raised eyebrows, "I don' know... amybe if you wen' ferst, Lad."

Jamal was faintly disturbed by the exhalation of smoke out what looked to be the octopus man's ear but waved it off by rubbing the back of his own neck, as though feeling for a lump that might be a tell-tale indicator of his own chip's location.
"...I'd go first...ain't a problem. But s**t, you'd have ta sober up some first. I ain't gonna let you hack at me when yer drunk. Speakin' of which, where's yer bottle? I think if yer gonna cut me up, I best be numbed up wit' some o' yer water."
He wasn't too afraid of the results. If he died, then he'd be done with the torture of living on the island...he wouldn't have to worry anymore and Moreau would be screwed over one subject. If it failed, the labs would probably cart him off and fix him up. If it worked. Freedom. Pure, absolute freedom. It would be GLORIOUS.

"Yer sayin' y'want *me* cut it out'o ye?" Billy's brows raised as he peered up at the Tiger, "Well, I don' t'ink I'd do any worse'n anyone else- I dug a bullet out o' one chap once a while back... Y'know how it is." Sober? What was he talking about? Billy was plenty sober!
