Everytime we go to Scotland, it rains. ._.
Always.
When we look at our calendars and see Scotland on there, we dig the ponchos out from the bottom of our lockers.

xD Your school too?
I haven't been in the band long enough to know, but from what I've heard, my school has never been able to perform at Scotland because of the rain. If the rain isn't bad, the school is doing something special or another that needs the field during halftime.
Last year, the seniors got fed up with not being able to show off to Scotland and just played the show in the stands.

Usually we dodge the morning rain. We've always been able to perform, but more than once we've had to play in the mud.

xD Oh yeah, Scotland does have those wierd stand-things, doesn't it?
I don't think I've ever been to Scotland for a contest. sad I think it was cancelled because of stormy weather last time.

My band goes to Scotland every year, no matter what. @Tubariffic: I remember that. It doesn't help if you have an early performance time and you're stuck there all day, either.

For a reasonably well-off school, you'd think they could afford real seats.

Really? Ew...I hope not. A few years ago their show started off with them lying on the ground, or at least some of them. Fortunately, I wasn't close enough to tell.

Interesting. .___. I'm glad I wasn't there. >_>
Our show last year started off with us lying on the ground, except for drumline. I remember they threw a fit and tried to lay down too. The less-brighter ones were stuck under their drums.

@EtsukoNino: That sounds like something our drummers would do. This past year everyone had to kneel down on one knee for part of the show, and more than once during practice a drummer rolled over when trying to stand back up.
