Burakku's feet continued to clap against the rocky road. He slid across the street, sawdust producing as he continued to run towards Leaf.

Kurome ran down the path, hoping not to be too late and miss any of the matches in Sand.

Something doesn't feel quite right... We should be nervous; we're essentially in enemy territory, and won't be out of it for some time... We still have to pass through Fire country. It doesn't feel like that, not quite... It's something else... Nyuuha-chan? No... Gahou paused and scanned the area, his stance shifting to protect his recovering shoulder. He saw a Rain Hunter-nin approach slowly, as if just on a stroll. The Myousumi watched cautiously, as the Oinin passed by, neither of them speaking a word. Then he heard a giggle, and felt three tiny pinpricks: one in each arm, and one on his leg. The one in his leg fell out as he moved, and with it a few drops of blood, though the wound was too small to really bleed. The Hunter was nowhere to be seen, and after a few moments, a second senbon came free, the one in his previously-uninjured arm. It tingled as did the senbon still in his other arm, which did not move from its spot. He continued onwards, confused at these events, but not thinking clearly enough through the confusion to be able to be wary. He had seen only blood on the metal that had left his body, and attributed the tingling to pain too slight to manifest as such. ((Gahou exit to floating bridge))



Haku smiled to herself as she saw the Myousumi genin on the path. She had heard of them, certainly, and was fascinated by the existence of another clan who worked in blood as she did. Of course, in her mind, it wasn't exactly put that way... If a doll's blood runs black, does that make them an inkwell? But inkwells cannot run... Can they hide? The Fallen Rain should find them, and make sure their glass does not crack and leak... She dipped two senbon in a vial that pulsed faint light in a familiar rhythm, and added a third, clean one, to her careful hand, and threw them once she had his back. She watched the clean one fall out, and then one of the others. After Gahou had gone, she swept in and picked up each senbon, gently, and placed them in an empty vial, stopping it with a tiny bit of wax and labeling it with a tiny drawing of a calligraphy brush. She glanced around again, and decided that the dolls marching by could wait another day for her. She returned to wait with Kujira.

Soren darted down the path quickly before turning things over to Doren. The older brother stopped to wait for his student and looked up at the sky, it was getting very dark. Thinking for a second of what to do he began preforming some minor handsigns he knew by heart and began charging for an extended period.

Doren turned around and smiled at his student before blowing through his hands. Nearly a dozen butterflies composed of chakra and electricity flew from his hands and zipped through the air. He had poured more chakra into them than normal so that they would last longer on their journey home.
The butterfly sparks were much better defined from when he had first created the technique, now the crackling blue creations actually had definition and features as they flapped through the air. Pale blue light emanated from them as they danced and twisted through the air. "They're for my benefit Tsukiko-Chan since you can already see in the dark." he said smiling and holding out a finger to let one of the electric bugs land on. "They can also act as a first line of defense if we're accosted on the way home."
