Within her bloodline? Then she would kill herself to rid herself of the putrid shadow in her mind. But for now she would have to wait, surely M'elzar would try to stop her, and right now that would only tip him off and have to closely watched...

What made her different? She was as strong a daughter than any her mother could have ever wanted, she was a good fighter, but....

But.. She always had difficulty using magic for some reason.. while everyone in her line had always been very powerful and very accomplished spell-swords. She had been unable to learn even a few of the basic spells until what happened in the training room. As if it suddenly just all came to her.

"I'm the only one that was inept with magic.." She didn't think Lying would gain her anything here right now, and as her mind began thinking more clearly, her persona began settling in again, her old way of thinking scheming through all the possibilities.

"Inept with magic?" M'elzar asked to himself. "And what benefit would that give the ..." He blinked a couple of times.

The element of surprise...

It finally dawned on him. Any Drow incapable of properly wielding magic was nearly cannon fodder, unless they were a House weaponsmaster. However, sending someone like that as an emissary into a rival house could be a clever tactic, awakening at just the right moment...

But no, this had either awoken prematurely or it was carefully planned. Perhaps he was right in not bringing her to the archmage... Someone, perhaps, wanted the seat of archmage for themselves...

M'elzar stroked his coal-hued chin again. "Then perhaps this was meant as a sort trap. It certainly surprised me when the anti-magic barrier dissolved and whatever you summoned was... well, summoned. However, I believe whatever is within you may be intent on destroying the Headmaster. Taking you to him probably would've spawned another conflict... However it may be the only way to remove such a being... Or, perhaps, if I were to warn the Headmaster..." However, if he did such a thing overtly, perhaps whatever was within her would or could catch on, and remain dormant until its next chance...

He pinched the bridge of his nose and squinted his eyes shut. Choices... choices... And with every choice, a consequence...

"A trap?" She said, and a voice whispered in the recesses of her mind to let it out, to take down the walls. With that she began throwing up more walls, making them as thick as she dared. The mental effort of it showed visably, as she began panting, and almost immediately broke out into a sweat. Her mental self felt the bashing against the walls as what-ever it was tried to get it's way out.

She had to do something before it did manage to get out.

This was NOT her choice, she would never want this THING in her mind. And who knew how long it had been there, probably since birth.

'Great, it probably knows even about that time with that guard....'
she stopped at that.. not wanting to give it any more ammunition than she had to.

"Well, I don't think living would matter much with this thing in my head, if you want to try that, then by all means go ahead. Though if you get yourself killed, that's not my problem" Her inky black eyes latched onto his with such an uncaring look it could have almost been considered icy.

M'elzar cracked his knuckles, and then slid open a couple of drawers, removing a couple spell components. The most noteworthy of the components were a vial of the dragon's blood, an eye of a bat, a couple mushroom spores, and some spider's string.

"Now, close your eyes and lay down. Try to clear your thoughts as best you can." He instructed, and he stood, standing over her with the components nearby. "When I finish the spell, we will both be rendered unconscious. When this happens, try to find me using your mind, and I shall try to find you." He instructed.

He began to mutter arcane phrases, the room about him visibly dimming. He placed a hand on her forehead, his fingertips lightly touching his forehead, his thumb recoiled and tucked up against his palm. Drawing his hand back he uttered another chain of arcane words, taking the spider's string and sticking one end to his forehead and one to hers. Over this thread he held the bat's eye, squeezing it and letting the black ooze of ocular fluid run down the string, flowing to the point where it just covered the end of the spider's string. He began to mutter more feverishly, his voice raising in tone noticeably. He took the mushroom spores and inhaled them, not losing his pace during the spell in the least.

Finally, his voice raised to a high, almost broken pitch, and right before the final words of the spell, he uncorked the flask of the vial of dragon's blood, and after the final word, gulped down the vial in a quick manner.

Then, the world was nothing but blackness.

Doing as he said, she tried to relax as much as she could. Though, not being very capable of using magic herself, she was always kind of antsy around other using it. But as her vision dimmed and she sank into her sub-conciousness, she tried to find his mind, though it was hard to do that AND keep up her mental walls. She felt as if she was walking through a pitch-black tunnel with no light or heat in sight.

She 'called' out to M'elzar, then waited, wondering if she would hear a reply.
Though she didn't hear the scrawny wizard, she did hear something else, something far more malicious and deviant. The seductive whisperes of the demon in her mind, it had found a crack in her walls, and was now trying to make her break them down as it called though to her conciousness, wanting to 'help her'.

Where the hell was M'elzar. A mental projection of herself, strong, upright, and clad in ornate, ceremonial armor, she looked so much like what an Il'haress' daughter should be. Except that her clothes kept shifting from the proud covering to a sheer dress that made her feel vulnerable. Her long, white hair tied in a high pony tail that swished out behind her.

Her projection shivered as she tried to resist the callings, her whole conciousness shook from the effort.

"Calm yourself." Came M'elzar's voice before she even saw him. When he appeared, he seemed... somewhat taller, though just as thin and somewhat the same. Contrasting to her ever-changing style of dress, M'elzar wore somewhat more ornate robes than what he actually wore in real life, and it bore a black mantle made of adamantite, a light, black metal that dissolved in sunlight, a favorite material of Underdark denizens...

He stood beside her, and she probably would've noted that he still held his staff and more than likely, his dagger was upon his person as well.

"You may wish to focus yourself. Whatever is within you must be brought to light, and that may require you to...surrender yourself." He suggested. "Or, if that thought does not comfort you, it is possible that by wandering your mental plane, we will eventually find the so-called 'root' of this problem..." M'elzar offered the alternative.

"Just remember, however, that this is not real." He told her. "This is all within your head, and if you treat it as such, neither of us will die should something go wrong." He was already keeping that mentality. "Keeping this mentality will also allow you to manipulate things here. This is your mind, and within your mind, anything is possible... You reign supreme here, much like you will in your House should you outlive your mother." He gave her that sort of metaphor, hoping it would trigger her former, demanding and rather obstinate self. Hopefully, it would prove a stronger self than this weakling he had helped uncover.

Perhaps it was true, an old proverb that M'elzar had heard, that some of the most frightening and fatal foes came from within oneself. Or was it from within in general? Either way, it was an accurate description of Drowish society, and now she was facing a foe that had remained dormant for years...

"Now. Allow it to reveal itself." He readied his staff. Whatever it was, he was intent on binding it and conversing with it. He was not the Headmaster, but no prefect of the Academy was unprepared to meet demons and beings capable of possession. He would only be worried if it crossed into the realm of deity, and he doubted that would be happening.

Feeling somewhat calmed by his words, her armor appeared once again, solidifying as well as her swords strapped to her back. Her ebony skin was lusturous and rock-solid muscle.

After all, what he said made sense, it was her mind to control. A mischevious grin appeared on her face for a moment, before she could have the tact to hide it. She didn't need to though, as images suddenly flashed all around them.
Some of them showing her torturing the scrawny wizard, other of just battling him, and some of... other things...
Bringing those thoughts into order though, and hiding them away once more took only moments, but the slightly-embarressed smile on her face was made almost menacing by the firey glow of her eyes.

"Hmm.. Not real.. I'll remember that.." She said softly as her mental self turned and started walking away into the darkness, following a path she seemed to know. Looking over her shoulder, she threw a cocky grin back at him before calling:
"You coming?"

She had to find her barriers sealing the creature off to take them down again. Once she was sure he was following, she set off at a 'quicker pace' and in only moments, had reached the small corner of her mind sectioned off with the beast inside. It seemed as if an eerie red eye peered through a crack in the wall, a small tendril snaking out to caress Lashantha with a sort of affection that made the walks shudder, as well as her image, before solidifying. Sending what looked like a sharp blast of light through the crack, palm facing it, Lasha growled a gutteral curse as the thing 'shrieked' from behind it's confinement.

Looking back behind her, she cast a hateful, and almost sad glance back at the wizard before taking her hand again, and smacked the heel of her palm against the wall, creating another crack, which widened, and finally sprouted other cracks. All at once, the wall shattered, and they were both blown back by the sudden rush that followed it of the creature running for her.

She didn't bother to fight it, just surrendered as it posessed her entirely. In less than a moment, her visage changed from a proud drow noble, to a seductively beautiful goddess, her hair down and a shear gown of blood red hugging her body. Her inky black eyes had turned startling red, and once normal teeth became pointed and deadly.

"You wish to try your might against me pathetic drow?" She hissed, her voice reverbarating with an unearthly quality.

M'elzar had noted her... mixed feelings for him, and shook his head slightly at them. The bored fantasies of an Il'haress' daughter, that was all they were. For most Drow females, the only difference between making love to a male and torturing one was the devices employed... and, at times, the degrees of pain felt by the male...

"There's no need for any trying of mights." M'elzar stated simply. "I merely wish to know your motives, perhaps your ...being." He explained. "There is no need for force...yet." He said, though he still held his staff, which would be ready at a moment's notice.

"No, not yet." He smirked. "After all, my House may have a use for one such as yourself. But for that kind of usage, there must be no shadows between us." His expression went stony and hard. "Now, tell me, being, what you are and from where you came."

He raised his staff slightly, just to show the being that if she...he...it...whatever, wasn't willing to cooperate, that he was ready to use force if need be. Luckily...hopefully... the being wouldn't reign supreme much like Lashantha herself did in her mind... If not, it could've been over before he knew it...

Giving a sinfully seductive pouty-face, she mockingly said
"Aww, does the poor wittle d-wow wanna know what I'm doing?" And with a musically evil laugh, projected a tendril of pain towards the wizard.

"This is not your mind, you think you have any power here at all? What I'm doing here is none of your F@%$ing business. I've been waiting since before your bloody grandfather was born, and a spoiled little weaking like yourself isn't going to ruin that for me now." Her laughter gone, her visage was replaced with an ice-cold fury to make any evil quake with terror.

Now that the 'poor little drow female's ' mind was in her supple hands, she could go to finally ruling this pathetic race. Sharess had had her time here, now it was Celestine's turn. Her sister was too bloody soft with the annoying creatures.

But.. maybe this scrawny b*****d could entertain her first before she blew his mind into oblivion.

"If you do not wish to tell me, then I suppose I'll have to be... impolite about it." He licked his lips slightly and raised his staff, preparing for a fight. "You may have control of her mind, but you have not the force to wrench me from here. The spell creates an anchor, and you still have to contend with the forces at be within Lasha's true mind. Her mind is not yours, it is merely two separate entities that can overlap at times. Your power over her is not absolute, and vice-versa." M'elzar obviously had done his homework.

"However, powerful as you may be, just realize that at any given moment, I may vanish, produce my dagger in the real world and plunge it through Lashantha's heart, ending whatever plans you may have laid." He did not think himself an expert at the art of bluffing, but this was hardly a bluff. He estimated that he could do so, having the element of surprise.

"Granted, it may be a waste...but... it would be a necessary waste." M'elzar thought to himself.

"So, risk annihilation, or simply reveal what it is you're plotting? It makes no difference to me. After all, if you are so powerful as you claim, then there is nothing I, nor anyone at the academy can do about it."

The creature shrugged, bearing it's fangs in a malicious grin as it 'stalked' closer towards him.
"If you kill her, I'll merely find another vessel to use. My patience is limitless, though I am starting to get rather annoyed. Perhaps I'll just kill you after-all." She purred, licking her lips before her form evaporated, her soft laughter ringing all about his form as 'walls' began closing in on the wizard.

"My Sister was far too leniant for you pathetic beings, I think you need a ruling Goddess that will keep everyone under her command more than just a religious figure-head. I intend to rule all of the underdark.

"Good bye, puny drow, I hope the abyss grants you much pain.." And with that, she left him to be with the walls closing about him in her mind, as the creature began waking up it's new host.

"Close the walls on me? Foolish being, I am nothing more than a projection of my own mind. Think to shut me in? No, I can let myself out." M'elzar stated.

He closed his eyes, and when he opened them, he was in the real world again. More than likely, the being would've been still focusing inwards. After all, none of that had been 'real' in any sense of the word. It was a mental thing.

Without hesitation, he struck the top of his staff against the laying Drow female's body, before she could stir too much, and the staff worked its magic, binding her arms to her sides and her legs together.

Now that the beast within her had taken over, there was the small manner of allowing her true self to return to control over her own body. He took out his dagger for good measure, and held it with the blade down.

"Now, creature, you will tell me what you are. I have no need for the babbling about goddesses. I'm a wizard, and you're in a wizard's academy. You've no need to be here prattling on about a religious reform!" M'elzar said, losing his patience.
