Covet gladly took Mecca's help and looked around the magnificent structure. Staying close to Mecca, she gave the little shu a warm smile and watched him scamper off. She remained where she stood as Mecca stepped away and listened to him. She watched him peer down over the side and had to banish away the dizzy feeling that swept through her at the mere sight of him doing such a thing. They weren't even that far off the ground really, but picturing him doing that thousands of feet in the air....
"I'm sure they are, but it would have to take a lot of convincing to get me on one that was set to fly," she said, standing a bit stiffly, afraid to move around without him by her side and not wanting to join him where he stood.

Mecca smirked at her and shook his head.
"We'll go one day." he said turning back and walking over to her. "I promise you the experience is second to nothing." Looking around the ship he spotted the Captain coming towards them. A deep blue Shu dressed for the part with bright orange markings.
"Captain." Mecca said with a sweeping bow. "I'd like to introduce you to my assistant. This, is Covet." He said with his business smile.
The Captain nodded in aknowledgement of Mecca and turned his orange eyes to Covet.
"A pleasure to meet you girl." He said nodding to her. "So, Mecca did you find out what it does?"

Covet released the breath she had been holding as he stepped away from the side and rejoined her. Relaxing, she spotted the captain and watched him with interest. She arched a brow at Mecca's formal greeting and blinked in surprise when he said she was his assistant. She turned her green eyes back to the captain as he acknowledged her.
"The pleasure is mine," she smiled brightly with a small bow of her own. Folding her hands demurely down in front of her as she watched the interaction with extreme interest.

Mecca gave the captain his cold, calculating smile. and produced the statue.
"I'm afraid it is useless captain. A mere worship icon I'm afraid." He said giving the statue a distasteful look.
"It was Covet here that alerted me to the fact. Was it not Covet?" He asked turning to give her a 'agree with me look.'

The only outward sign she gave to her surprise at his blatant lie was a slight flicker of her lashes, but she remained otherwise unmoved until he turned to her. She barely even noted the look as she gave the captain a pretty smile and turned her eyes to him.
"Completely useless really. A shu tried to give me one because he liked my singing. Hardly an item of great importance considering the ease of which he tried to reliquish it to me," she lied flawlessly to him.

Mecca turned his smile back to the Captain and nodded.
"Despite it's worthless value I'm sure some wandering cult addict will pay a small price for it. Which is why I am willing to take it off your hands." He said naming the extremely low price he would pay the captain.
The Captain eyed the pair of them for a moment and nodded.
"I can't argue with that now can I?" He said, having fallen for it. What did he know about onjects he found in his fishing nets. "I would only have tossed it back from where it came."
Mecca nodded and handed the Captain the money.
"It was a pleasure doing business with you." Mecca replied with yet another bow.
"As always." The captain nodded. "Now If you and Miss Covet will excuse me I have work to be doing."

Covet watched the rest of the transaction in silence and gave the captain a brilliant smile and bow as he excused himself. Turning her green eyes up to Mecca she watched him for a moment, then made a hasty retreat off the ship, eager to get her feet back on solid ground. Once they were well enough away from the ship, she smirked and looped her arm through his to hug it tightly.
"Liar," she smirked up at him, and released his arm to simply walk beside him. "Is that how you get all of your trinkets and items?"

Mecca accepted her arm as it was looped through his. He was buzzing after the steal he had just made and nothing could ruin his mood.
Looking down to her he smirked as she moved away to stand next to him.
"Only the good ones." He said, slipping the statue into his pocket. "How would you like to go to the tea house for dinner?" he asked looking over at the large building. "I'll buy you some good food if you wish?"

She followed his eyes to the building, then looked back up at him.
"Why don't you try joining me for once? Other foods can't possibly be that revolting if everyone else manages to choke them down," she smirked, stretching her wings a little to fluff her wings, a couple of loose feathers flying unnoticed off into the sea breeze. "I'd really like it if you did please," she said softly, holding his eyes with hers.

Mecca looked at her, his eyes following her feathers off into the breeze.
"I'll try some of yours." He sighed, a half smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth.
He liked the big old building, despite it being full of Shu. It was interesting and there was always so much to see. Entering he grabbed a nice concealed table and took a seat.

Covet followed him through the tea house, her eyes sweeping over all the brightly colored shu that had gathered to eat, drink, and enjoy each other's company. Sitting down across from him, she sighed a bit wistfully. How was she going to get to listen to the others talk when he chose a table so far from them? As a server came up, she placed her order and watched him as he placed his own simple order.
"May I ask why you invited me to the air ship?" she asked, then paused and thought of something. "And am I really your assistant?"

"Because I thought you would like to see them." He said simply. Leaning back in his seat and looking across at her. Air ships were a big passion of his. Eversince he first saw them all he wanted to do was travel on one. Even when he left and actually did sail on one to the corners of the Shu world. He still loved them. "One day I want to captain one." He said looking down at his hands. It was his dream. In the sky he was free, with no one to judge him.
At her second question he looked up and gave her an emotionless smile.
"Would you like to be?" He asked as their food was brought over. "I know you wish to go back to Veronica. But for now ... would you like to help me?"

Her eyes lit up at his admition and she watched him closely to see if he would elaborate, but smiled when he answered her second question instead. As he mentioned Veronica, she felt a small tug at her heart like she had earlier after their argument and dropped her eyes down to the colorful food that had been placed before her. Taking a deep breath, she looked back up at him and gave him a warm smile.
"I'd love to Mecca. I promise I won't touch things unless you've said it's alright and I'll help you with your research. You wouldn't believe the things people say when they don't know you're listening. I've learned all sorts of things just by keeping my ears open," she smiled and picked up her fork. "Now... would you at least take a bite?" she asked, holding her laiden fork out to him.

Mecca nodded.
"I said I would so I shall." He said flatly, taking the fork from her hand and inspecting the food that was on it. It was well presented though he felt no urges to eat it.
"What is it?" he asked as he continued to anylise the food.

Covet rolled her eyes and a stubborn, exasperated look fell over her features.
"Ceasar salad. Now stop stalling and just eat it already. It's really good," she replied, picking up a crouton and popping it into her mouth as she waited for him to return her fork.
