Brian_Link Beware the Jabberwock Mcphee Brian_Link thatonedude61 i'm probably the most conservative person you'll ever meet...i align myself with the 'independant american party' but vote republican I'll take you up on that. I've met myself. And for all I know, I may be more conservative than you. Well, why don't you guys just list your views on the issues, and we'll see who's more conservative.
It'll be like a game. xd Winner gets a small African child! How about no? A. I don't have much money. B. One person is a drop in a bucket, if I were to join a pro-African cause, I would look for methods that improve quality of many of all African lives, not some middle person beaurocrat. Don't like Africans? How about a small German child then?
I'd give you a puppy as a prize but they're just so mundane. Can you say cliche?

I have no problem with Africans (As a people, though some specific people I could probaly find a couple of problems). I just am in no position to adopt, and less I, God forbid, become sterile, I see no reason why I would ever want to. So I'll have to decline the German as well. As for the dog, the cat in my house is not to friendly with other animals.

They make for great conversation pieces, you know if you meet a girl and you just don't know what to say having a small African (or German) child living in your broom closet is a guarenteed way to break the ice.
Okay. How about a compromise. The winner will get a drawing of a small african child, or a goldfish. Or a drawing of a goldfish. Or a drawing of a small African child riding a goldfish.

Or a drawing of a small African child riding a goldfish.I think we should stick with the drawing because as much I don't want skeletons in my broom closet, I that much more believe that I don't want it to be literal. But you are right, it would be a good icebreaker... though a icebreaker that would send me to jail. @_@

WatersMoon110 I.Am I had never really understood what a Libertarian was until just now, so I looked it up, and I guess I'm pretty much that. whee Basically I feel that people should be free to do whatever they like as long as they are not hurting anyone else. Things that I believe in that might be considered contradictory: The war in Iraq, because we are intervening for the sake of people who are being oppressed, I believe is justified. Aside from that, pretty much all my beliefs fit with it, which is nice. ^_^b And I would be a "minarchist," as I believe in taxation as far as is necessary to provide public services. I'm quite pleased to have finally found a political group that seems to work for me. And somewhat surprised too. I suppose I shouldn't be suprised that we are of the same opinion on this, but I am. wink Yeah, I'm a Libertarian also. I am not for the the war in Iraq (mostly because freeing the Iraqis from their oppressive government wasn't the first reason we were given for going there, or even the second) but I bet we agree on more than I at least would have ever guessed. Well, as far as the war, it's not like the reasons are numbered one through ten or anything. Why should one reason be more primary then another? I do believe that freeing the Iraqis from their oppressive government and creating security/eliminating the threat of WMDs were both fine reasons. I really am having trouble thinking of convincing reasons we had to go in that I don't agree with. I don't think it's very reasonable to say we went in for oil; After all, gas has only gotten more expensive since the war began. There's a whole spiel about it, but this thread isn't the place, I suppose. xd
