I think pretty much everyone skipped/skimmed/etc. to see what would happen to Edward.
Even though I knew everything would turn out all right in the end. Stephenie likes happy endings. ^^

I didn't flip to the end of the book (end being the last couple of chapters). However, when Bella started to hear the voices, I did skip ahead a chunk and looked at a page. After not seeing a single Cullen name, seeing Alice's made me feel pretty good. Even if I had not seen Alice's name, I think I would've finished the book.

I'm shocked at myself to say I honestly didn't look. Actually...I was so intent on finding out when Edward was coming back without spoiling myself that I read through the book nonstop the first day i got it (which wasn't easy considering I had school) until two in the morning the next day.
The lack of sleep was worth it though, gotta say. I had to find out just how Stephenie was going to insert him back into the story and get him back to Forks.

nope. I really REALLY wanted to, but I resisted. YAY ME! It was hard though, I was fighting really hard just to skip the Jacob/Bella thing. Plus if he was gonna come back I wanted to see why he did.

Actually. I knew that Edward would be back...I had this feeling that Edward would be...Cause Bella's bound to be in trouble here or there.
Then I proved my guess right-ish by crashing into a spoiler by accident.
And..I enjoyed Jacob and Bella's relationship..So no skipping ahead...well techinically.

I skipped ahead but only to just see his name. or any of the others. i dont know if i could of made it throught the book if i didnt know if i could actualy survive all the talk of jacob and bella. i thought i was going to die. that was a huge unessisary chunk.

I peeked at the last page, saw Edward's name ((he said "I'm here," so yeah, I think he came back.")), and continued reading. xD If I hadn't, I wouldn't have paid attention to the story, and just skimmed through it to see if Edward would come back.

Kacche well about half way through i looked towards the end of the book to see if edwards name popped up. if he wasnt comming back i dont think i could have read the whole book. sorry jacob, i love ya but edward is what makes the books heart Agreed! 3nodding

I downloaded it (dont ask how, actually my dad did) and I got so worried, I did ctrl+f and typed in Edward to see if he was mentioned.

Exactly. Thats why Stephenie asked her readers to read it twice, because everyone freaks out about Edward and skims until they get to his part. 3nodding

Ooh. I thought I was the only one who commited a major boo-boo for doing that. burning_eyes
I peeked at the last couple pages, and it really ruined the book for me. I couldn't wait in anxiety for Edward to come back, because I already knew that he would.. *sigh*
I've learned never to do that again.

I read the whole book, then kept rereading the last 100 pages or so. I can't bring myself to read the other parts.
