Skizzors Lucca Ashtear If the author pairs up people I don't like, I don't bother reading it. It's the same for me. I always look for the pairings I like, and skip those that aren't. And same with me. 3nodding

I once read a Koenma x Yusuke fanfic on this random little website. Usually, I don't like any pairing from YuYu Hakusho, save a few - Kurama x Hiei being one of them. =3
But I read this fanfic, and it was so good!! I totally fell in love with the way the authoress worded her sentences. So lovely! I still don't like the pairing, but I love the fanfic. x3

I really don't hate any pairings, but I can definitely like a fic for a pairing I don't really 'ship. But hey, that's why I read fanfiction--because I want authors to convince me through their work that these two characters can be together. If s/he succeeds, then it was probably a really good piece. XD

I don't really come across those fics when I'm reading yaoi, but I do when it comes to yuri. xd
I never really liked the idea of Yami Malik/Yami Bakura as a pairing, but one story did make for an interesting read.

Roy/Ed.
I never really thought of them like that...
And one day I just saw a picture and went, "Damn, they look sooooooooooo good together!"
Same with Joye/Kaiba. Was never really a fan of that 'till I read a really good fic on it.

Kitsune-chi Have you ever read a fanfiction for a pairing that you hated and fell in love with it? I absolutely love the fanfic, "Unthinkable Thoughts," by Adian Lynch on ff.net. It's a Harry/Draco fic, and I highly reccommend it. But the thing is, I don't usually like Draco/Harry. At all. But I LOVED this fic. Have you ever come across such a well-written slash story it didn't matter the characters involved? i have some really cute pics of those 2 and OMG this one girl on Yoai-Gallery made a comic with them and it is FREAKIN AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!! biggrin

I can't at the moment recall a pairing I hated, then fell in love with. But like the person before me stated, I too hate YukixKyo (HaruxKyo woot!), but I don't even really read that fandom. I guess I also agree with those that said they just avoid those pairings they hate. But I'm also not very explorative, trying out fanfiction of new animes/things I like, or with pairings.
Draco/Harry is an amazing pairing. I love it soooo much. whee

The problem with that is they then become out of charecter-esque. D"=

I can't even count the number of pairings I've come to love through reading fiction of pairings I'd never liked otherwise.
I get bored easily, want to read/look at something new, and wha-bam. I'll come across something that'll make me love another pairing.
They're usually non-canon though. I tend to drift away from a lot of canon pairings, especially in series where there isn't any malexmale content.
RoyHavoc, KioRitsuka, and LRaito to name a few.
