Our black cat anthro, Kyoya, had been just been coming back from his visit to his beloved Tilo. Both of them had agreed about becoming parents and he couldn't of been more happier. He followed the river home, just as he did to find Tilo's house as he hummed out an unfamillar tune. Perhaps something he just picked up? The cat's ears perked as he heard a soft moan come from the other side of the river. He glanced over and gasped gently. There was a woman unconcious. Had she fallen in and almost drowned? Quickly he crossed the river and gently shook her. "Hey lady! Are you alright?" he asked, concern growing in his voice. She did not respond. The woman had long flowing purple hair that was tinged blue. In fact her whole body seemed to be colored in simillar ways. Never had Kyoya seen such an anthro. Knowing of anything else to do he gently picked her up and began his journey home hoping that one of his house mates would know of what to do.

Nyx

Part 3

Nyx seemed to almost struggle to keep the smile on her face and she was only managing a weak one. Her eyes seemed to be distant. "Lets just say... I had... a bad relationship before," she said, softly. Kyoya's ears folded down. He never had any of those, but he had known some who did. "I'm sorry..." he whispered, not sure if he should question more.

The door opened and in stepped Storm. This was the human who lived in the house with all the other anthro that were here. She was the landowner in another matter of speaking. She squeaked seeing, Nyx. She was rather surprised," Kyoya! Aren't you dating that tigger anthro?" she said after a moment, in an almost teasing away. Kyoya hissed in annoyance," I am! This... she... Nyx needed help so I brought her here!" he stated defensivly. "I'm only joking," Storm chuckled a bit and walked over to Nyx. "A naiad... a very purpley one at that. Is she made of grapes?" she questioned. Nyx tilted her head to the side in a confused matter," No I am not." So thats what she is! I was wondering why she didn't have any animal ears, wings, tails or anything."

Storm gave the cat anthro a funny look. "Don't be silly, Kyoya! After all your travels you think someone like you would know about them," she said, disbelieveingly. Nyx sat quietly, not sure what to do or say. Storm turned to her with a smile," So you're name is Nyx. I'm Storm and I'm in charge of here. Kyoya is one of my many anthro staying here." Kyoya muttered something and leaned back against the wall. He crossed his arms and let his thoughts drift off to the possiblities that could of happened to Nyx.

Nyx smiled and giggled a little. "It's a pleasure. You have quite a nice place here... say... it's been quite a while since I've met a human." Storm smirked," Well get used to it, theres a few around here. Feel free to stay as long as you like. Includes forever in fact. I like ya!" Nyx's eyes widened, amazed at the sudden invitation," Really? But I'm a total stranger. What if I had dangers surrounding me? You never know... I could.. in danger you." She smirked slightly. Storm blinked. Her attitude had changed slightly," Ah I don't really care at the moment. We could use more stuff happening around here. I know! Be Kacela's roommate! She could use a friend."

Kyoya's ears folded back again," Kacela might not like that..." Storm rolled her eyes," Ah she's a real softy underneath. Go help her get settled Kyoya!" Kyoya smirked and looked over at Nyx," Welcome to the family." Nyx blinked a few times and smiled softly. She may not of been sure if would stay in this place, but she did know she had people she could trust at least.

And that is how another member was added to the family. There are still many mysteries surrounding her, but for now she is just another friend in there little household.

A naiad stood in the shallow part of the lake, staring off into the distance. She smiled weakly. "It's been a week now since I've been here..." she said and bit her very purple lips nervously. "I still don't have the courage to go out far enough... he might be there."

In the tree nearby, stood Kacela. She narrowed her eyes and crossed her arms, leaning her back against the tree. She was watching the naiad from a distance. "Kyoya and Storm shouldn't of taken her in without getting the full story of what happened to her," she thought allowed. She closed her eyes for a moment," She might be an enemy..."

A small school of fish broke up and quickly swam away. Though one unlucky fish was caught by the creature who scared them off. The creature sat on a rock at the bottom of the lake, taking a large bite out of the fish. It looked up at the surface of the water seeing, but completely ignoring the naiad. It didn't worry about who she was or what she wanted. Why should it? It was too hungry to worry about surface-dwellers.

The naiad stared down at the water a bit longer and was about to turn to walk out, but she clenched her fists. "No! I... I can't let him get to me. What's done is done. I can't give up my love for the water because I'm scared for one person," she said. She stared down at the water determinedly for another moment before diving in head first. The water spread her hair out, making it seem quite lovely. Well she was quite a pretty grape colored thing.

The creature watched as she dived into the water and got up off the rock and swam the other way, dropping the remains of the half eaten fish.

The naiad had seen him. Well she had been startled at first. He may of been a merman, but her definitly wasn't THAT merman. She giggled a little. She loved meeting new people more then anything. 'I suppose I am making a new friend today,' she thought and swam after him.

Kacela stared down at the water. "Hmph.. naiads. I guess it's true with them being Greek Godesses of the waters," she thought allowed. She spread her wings and took off. She had other things to do.

The merman glanced back at the naiad and saw that she was following him. He swam a little faster, trying to get away from her.

'He's a bit shy. Hmm..,' she thought and giggled a bit more. She swam after him a bit faster. "Mer! Wait up. I don't bite," she called out with another giggle. Yes. She was able to communicate underwater.

The merman looked back again, shocked at her ability to talk underwater. He didn't stop until he swam into a large rock.

The naiad blinked a few times, very surprised. You would think a merman would know where he was swimming. She swam up to him, grabbing his arm. "Are you alright? I'm sorry. I shouldn't of distracted you. That must of been painful," she said, her eyes full of concern.

"I'm ok," he said, without even looking up at her.

She smiled gently, not letting go of his arm, but loosening her grip a bit to let him pull away if he wanted to. "You don't have to be shy you know," she said, wishing she could see his face. He seemed quite cute.

He put his other arm on head and blinked a few times. "What do you want?"

The naiad frowned slightly or more like pouted. "You ask what nyx wants?" she asked and tilted her to the side slightly. "It almost sounds like I'm bothering you. Well..." she giggled once more. "First it would be nice to know your name."

The merman leaned up against the rock he swam into and closed his eyes. "My name is Nen"

"Nen.. thats cute. I like that name," she commented. She brushed some hair back. The water was making it act all crazy. " I am Nyx, name given to me by my mother," she said and then laughed softly," Though I think I've said something before to reveal that."

"Yes. And um... thanks." He rubbed his head where he hit it. "Could you please leave me now? I was trying to eat when you started following me"

"Huh? So Nyx is being annoying?" she said, a little offended. She sighed. "Well..." she paused and smiled as an idea popped into her head. "To repay you for your lost meal I invite you over to my home. One of my roomates, Kyoya, makes an excellant fish dish. Won't you come?"

Nen opened his eyes and stared past Nyx, thinking about whether he could trust her or not. A few moments later he looked at her, "Fine. I'll come”

Nyx's eyes widened opened and a big smile spread across her lips. "Oh! Thats wonderful. Come on then," she said and started to swim towards the surface."

Nen sighed and slowly followed her. His eyes where partially closed and his hand was still on his head.

Nyx smiled a nodded. "That is fine. I don't mind," she said and looked off towards the woods. She had her own untold stories as well and she wasn't one to pester in the cases of someones past. "It's not too far from here anyway. It's not that great of a house and it's small, but it's comfortable. I hope you'll be able to be comforatble." she started to walk. "Well come on then."

He nodded and started pulling himself along like some kind of seal, stopping every now and then to take a quick rest.

After about two minutes of walking she stopped and looked back at him with a slightly confused look. She held back in a giggle. She had slowed down the pace so he could keep up. "To bad we don't have some wagon or something to ride on. We wouldn't have to make you get there in such a way," she said and sighed gently. She looked up in the air and saw something flying above from way up high. "Kacela..."

Nen looked up. "Who?"

"Oh her... shes the dragon anthro that lives in the same house as me. She gets rather suspicious easily. Sometimes I think she doesn't trust me," she said and sighed. She smiled back to him. "No worries though. She'll be fine with you once she hears your just here for lunch."

"O...k..." he said and looked back up at Kacela. "Sure... What ever you say..."

Nyx giggled again. " You're cute." She smiled at him and began to walk to the house again.

He looked over at Nyx again, "Huh..?" But he said that mostly to himself.

Continueing roleplay with Drace:

"Hm? Really? Well I guess certain things are easier for others," she said with a smile. She was quite impressed with that though. She always had trouble landing the right way when she was just a kid.

The dragon nodded. "I guess so. It is why we came here. Would be a waste not too..." she said and started to head for the entrance. "Well come on..."

"Well this is it..." she said and glanced around. She had seen it before quite a few times now, so she didn't seem as interested. There were towers like this where she came from as well, so it was nothing too new even if this tower was quite special in ways the towers she was famillar with were not. "It is safe here usually, so if your brother is away when you are in trouble, I suggest you come here..." she paused for a moment as she looked around, her eyes stopping on a rather beautiful looking painting. "Or you could come to me if you find me first, but I move around a lot... it may be hard." She turned to him. "So do you like this place?"

"You wish to maybe get stronger?" she said. She smiled a bit, seeming interested in that. "I admire someone who aims for that, it's a good goal. One of mine in fact," she said and looked off to the painting she was looking at before. " Hm... , but you say you get sick. That could get in the way..." she said and sighed. "Perhaps you should find a teacher? If you truely wish to overcome that, that is."
