my friend told me about them and then put some headphones in my ears and turned on Ride the Lightning. that was one hell of a good song.

Anjith I'm a hardcore fan as well, but the thing I love about Metallica is their ability to write heavy riffs in Standard tuning on their instruments... yeah metallica had all there old songs in standard and then all there new ones arent

For me it was, well I had always liked music like this, my sister introduced me too it at a very young age, and I love it.

for me it was Damage inc. it was the first Metallica song i have ever listened to. kinda thrashy, but thats why i liked it xd ... and then there was The Black Album *puts hat down*

I got Guitar Hero 3 and the song One was on it.I liked it so I listened to more of their songs and it grew on from that.

I heard Enter Sandman for the first time in Rock Band and the DLC's were Ride the Lightning, Blackened and ...And Justice For All so thats when i started liking them but what really influenzed me to be a die-hard fan was a friend, Danny, who loves Lars, and told me to listen to a couple of hundreds of song xd

I heard "One" on GH3 and my friends talked about Metallica a lot, so I went and downloaded about half of their songs.
I loved them all.

i had been hearing about metallica since i was a little child and a guy i knew liked them. i wasn't too sure i would like them at first but i got and justice for all and i loved it. after i listened to it i listened to more of their albums and got into metal

My dad was a big fan off them, and I think that came to me for a base. When I was 13, I got Guitar Hero 3 and when I played One for the first time, I finally noticed their existance. For Christmas, my dad got me Death Magnetic and the Black Album. When I listened to those 2 albums, I instantly loved their music and never looked back.

my influence would be my two cousins.they are heavy metal fans and i would come to their house often and listen to metallica and other metal bands.then i downloaded some songs to my computer and started to love it. biggrin

i was influenced by my dad and my brother. They are always listening to it specially my brother smile I listen to Metallica since ever XD and i got used to my brother playing them on guitar hero smile Thats why i put them on my avatar name smile

i was on the bus and they played some rock and i liked it so i wanted to hear more and i saw metallica on the back of some guys shirt. I listen to master of puppets and from then on it was like a whole new world. eek my gate way drug to the metal world. blaugh
