Naruto does everything he can not to laugh at what happened to Rikku and he quickly grabs her stick, blowing the flames out and handing her his own somewhat toasty marshmellow, "Here, you can have mine!" he says kindly and takes the charred remains of the marshmellow off carefully. Once that is done, he grabs a fresh marshmellow and sticks it on, holding it close to the fire to brown, and he turns it a few times, humming softly.
Once that is done, he draws it away from the fire and turns back to Rikku, "Ok, here is the last step! Take one of the graham crackers with the chocolate on top and put the marshmellow right on the chocolate! Once you do that, grab a free cracker, put it on top of the marshmellow and press down enough where you can slide the stick out of the marshmellow! Then you eat it!" he explains to her, all while showing her what needs to be done. Once he puts his stick on the plate, he grabs his treat and quickly takes a bite, stretching a long string of melted marshmellow away from his mouth, his smile covered in bits of graham cracker and melted chocolate.

Rikku went from shocked to pouting to frowning wide eyed wonder in a matter of moments. In fascination she used the gramcracker pieces with the chocolate to pull the sticky brown & white goo from the end of her stick. Eyeing it warily she bit into it deeply seeing how much Naruto was enjoying his.
Her eyes roled back just before they closed as she chewed happily. "mmmmm" The thief managed in delight. "Fayths, Ruto that's amazing!"
Green eyes fluttered open. "Show me how to do the fire thing... without flaming the goo?"

Naruto finishes off his first s'more, licking his lips happily, even though they are still stick and covered in chocolate. He nods at Rikku's question and grabs one of the sticks and a fresh marshmellow, taking her hands and helping her guide it to the fire, "Don't put it into the fire, that is just going to make it go up like a fire cracker! Hold it close to the edge where it can brown!" he explains.

So that was where she had gone wrong. "I didn't realise yours wasn't in the fire too..." She said lamely, letting herself be guided. Rikku smiled sheepishly at the shinobi. She rather liked his hands on hers like this. It was... sweet. Simple & sweet. "I'm really better with machina, you know."
Returning her gaze to the marshmallow she turned it slightly where he indicated. "You know... I suppose if I thought about it, this is where we use the sandwich irons when we use them too. I only got a bit of use on them myself."

Naruto smiles as he helps guide Rikku on toasting her marshmellow and he chuckles over what she says. "Well, it's ok, once we are done, we can wash them off in the lake! I guess that is why I wanted to use sticks, we can just throw them away into the fire once we are done!" he says, pulling the metal back from the fire and letting her fix herself another s'more as he sets up another marshmellow to fix his own.

"Why'n't we just burn the goo off when we're done? Then they won't be sticky for washing." She spoke as she put her s'more together, already missing his touch but wanting more chocolate-y goodness too. She bit down expectantly on the mess & was pleasantly surprised when it was even better than the first. It was warmer, & the chocolate had melted more & "mmmm..."

"Yea, that seems like a good idea!" he says, pulling his hot marshmellow back and fixing himself another s'more, a dreamy smile on his face as his mouth is covered in melted chocolate, crumbs and sticky marshmellow. But he feels genuinely happy, especially with Rikku there to share them with him. He figured they could fix a few more before putting everything away, he wanted to save it for the rest of the trip.

Rikku was about to fix herself another s'more when she looked over & aw Naruto with his mouth covered in s'more fixings. Her heart did a little flip & she set her stick down out of the way. The dreamy smile did not help either. Rikku popped over to his side & lightly kiss-licked-bit some of the mess from the ninja's mouth. "You've nearly a whole s'more there, you know?"
With an almost teasing wink she spun around, hurriedly putting a fresh marshmallow on her own stick & attempting golden perfection of it in the fire, casting sidelong glances from the corners of her eyes & smiling impishly without really knowing why.

Naruto was quite surprised when Rikku suddnely popped up beside him and licked some of his mess off his mouth and he blushes hotly, looking down at his stick. Stealing glances at her every once in a while, he sets up another marshmellow on his stick, his hand shaking a little in excitement...was it because of all the sugar?

It certainly felt to Rikku as if it was because of all the sugar. That did not stop her from wanting more -though of the s'mores or the shinobi's s'more covered lips she would not say even to herself. She hummed her song lightly to herself as she put her s'more together, bopping her head to the music happily. This marshmallow was extra gooey & she had to suck it from her fingers where it gooshed out the sides of the graham cracker sandwich. She looked up at Naruto over her fingers as she did so, not thinking how it probably looked.

Naruto looks over at Rikku as he finishes making himself another treat and he gets ready to bite into it, but he ends up freezing, his entire face red as he starts to stare. He can feel his heart thumping hard against his chest and he has to stop himself from launching himself at her and licking the mess off her fingers himself as well as kissing and licking any mess on her lips. He quickly focus' back on his s'more and takes a big bite, making a bigger mess on his lips then before.

Her heart is pounding in her chest. What was it about making sweets with Naruto that did this to her? Without standing, Rikku kind of scooches over until she is beside him. Taking a finger she runs it over half os his bottom lip, gathering melted chocolate, marshmallow, & crumbs. Then she licks it off with a silly grin.
"You're making a mess, Ruto." She murmurs lightly, green eyes dancing as she looks into the blues of Naruto's eyes. "Don't wanna waste it... do you?"

Naruto focus' on the fire in front of them, trying to get his pounding heart back under control, not noticing that Rikku was getting closer. When he suddenly feels her finger on his lip, he jumps a little, turning to look into her own swirling, green eyes and his heartbeat, which felt like it was only pounding, now feels like it is about to launch right out of his chest. His face goes incredibly red and without thinking about it, leans over and clamps his lips right over her finger, licking his tongue around the mess she goe of fhis lips.

"oh!" Rikku gasps, surprised that her finger is suddenly captured. An odd sensation fills her which she finds she rather likes. A purr starts softly within her.
"I guess not..." She accedes breathlessly, her eyelids fluttering lightly. Leaning towards him Rikku licks gently at some more of the mess that she had not removed yet. She does not bother to even try to remove her finger. Rikku sets her other hand between them on the log, using it to balance herself as she leans closer. Except for licking his lips she does not touch Naruto though the lengths of her sunny scarf fall into his lap & the ends dangle over the open toes of his sandals. "Definitely too good to waste..." She murmurs softly against his lips.

Naruto wiggles his toes against the scarf as he licks off the rest of the sweet mess off Rikku's finger, but he trembles a little when she kisses and licks his lips. He finally lets her finger go and plants his lips on hers, grabbing her scarf to draw her closer, licking her lips to get an trace of s'more's off her.
