The woman simply raised a brow at the request and having tightened the cloak around herself once more she 'swaggered' towards him, her steps slow as she almost seemed to make observations, take notes and make judgements upon him, "What's your name - kid?" She enquired, clearly asserting the 'age' difference in order to mock his judgements of her further.
She was tired of being followed around by an unknown person, she was tired of being persued by someone who stuttered and attempted to deter her from her destination and more importantly she was tired of having to deal with the apparent judgements that the man was making in relation to her before he even came to understand who she was, what she worked as and why she was here...

"Um..." the man said, looking away a little. His voice was barely a whisper as he spoke, directly towards the ground to his left, rather than at the woman, "Roger..."
His weight shifted onto his left foot, and his right foot came back, poking at the ground just behind his left. His arms clasped together, behind his back, and he kept his gaze downwards, and away from the woman.

She couldn't help but raise a brow at his body language and as she circled him she not only kept her mask off but also removed the plumed had from her head - silence was often one of her best methods of intimidation and as she came round to his face once more she paused and lifted her gloved hand to his chin. She applied a slight pressure to it in order to raise or coax his head into raising so that he might keep eye contact with her for once in his life.
"Perhaps you should gain more manners before you insult strangers, Roger." She advised within a delicate purr, her brow remaining raised as she debated on whether or not he was deserving enough to know of her name; all things considered she was doubting it a great deal...
"Now why is it you are here?" She continued slowly.

The man swallowed, trying to keep himself calm, as he was forced to lock eyes with the strange woman... they're inhuman... he kept thinking... it wasn't natural, to have skin like that, or eyes that shade. At least that's what his panicked mind repeated, over and over and over again while he stammered out his answer, "I... I... I came... because... I... uh... always come here... it's where I relax... I get... away from 'them'... and... I... connect... or commune... or something with this place... it... I don't know!"

"You would be a terrible public speaker," The woman murmured almost dismissively as she continued to lock her gaze with his, she was silent for a few more moments until she confirmed in her mind that he was telling the truth and then and only then did she begin to smile again, not mockingly but merely out of amusement as his inability to stand up to a woman as most men would have attempted to do.
Still, what did click in her mind was the final words that he had spoken - he connected with this place? Her smile vanished and her brow furrowed as she tried to decipher exactly what he meant by that before she tightened her grasp around his chin, "What do you mean by connection?" She enquired in a dark manner, as though something had struck a bell with her and she was trying to combine the ideas running through her mind with other ideas as well...

Roger's jaw set, and his eyes closed, feeling pain from the vise like grip that she had on his chin. His eyes opened slowly, looking over at the woman, forced to look into those eyes. His gaze tried to shift away, but they were locked on, and came back quickly enough to look into those dark eyes...
What did he mean? This woman didn't seem the type to put up with his ignorance on the subject, that was for sure, "It... It's nothing special... I just... I come to places like this... away from people... and... and then everything's different... it's nothing special... probably just in my head..." he murmured to her, trying to look away once more, and down towards the ground.

"Do not play me for a fool." She stated, her tone hardening as she pressed her hands more firmly on his chin, she was indeed beginning to clamp her hand to his chin but she was not about to allow him to escape when she seemed to close the connecting those lose strings deep within her mind, she couldn't let this situation drop until these strings were attention - they were so close and she could feel it!
"What do you mean by 'connection'?" She reasserted her question, her eyes narrowing. Could he, like her sense that inexplicable beckoning and yearning of the heart - would it be a sure fire indication that she was not alone and not mentally insane or being toyed with as though she were a fool? She would not be particularly pleased if she found that she had come here for nothing other than to be bothered by the weak-kneed fool she now held within her grasp.

Roger whimpered slightly as she clamped down harder. He would have shouted, if it wasn't for the tight hold she had on his jaw, fairly negating that sort of speach. Instead he glared at her, "I don't know!" he said with finality, and a little more spine than he had ever shown sign of so far, "I just don't know already! I'm... I'm not special like you people, so I know it isn't anything like that... It... it's just... there..."

Now that got her - releasing him from her grasp she canted her head to the side, her eyes still narrowed yet questioning - what had he meant by that? Her mind reeled at how he had said the phrase and she attempted to discern exactly what he meant, perhaps it was her clothes that were odd to say the least or was it the unusually prestine appearance that she prided herself upon?
"What do you mean by 'like you people'?" She enquired slowly, she didn't sound unsure but merely curious as to why he would make such classifications; she was certain however that he didn't feel the same pull as she did though, that he was perhaps someone who took upon the role of a druid if anything...
Still, she had to know just one more thing.
"...And how do you feel about that building?" She added, motioning towards the temple with a gloved hand.

Roger glared as darkly as he could at her, rubbing his jaw where her fingers had a hold, there were large red marks there from the pressure, and he still felt the ache of it...
Now that the woman didn't have a hold of him, and was questioning him, he looked back down to a spot just between his feet. His voice was weak, muttering once more, his shoulders slumped and his posture humped, "Just... nothing..." he concluded her first question. He winced a bit as she motioned, and asked another, "It... well..." he thought, pausing for a moment, his gaze lifting a little to look at the temple ahead, letting his eyes scan over it.
"It's... important..."

She was not about to let this drop - she was pleased that he was beginning to answer some of her questions but she desired to have them all answered and she was never one to give up. As if to emphasize this point she swiped her hand upwards to push his chin up again (although she didn't hold onto it) and narrowed her eyes once more - not only was he avoiding her gaze, but it was rude not to look at someone when they were talking to you.
"What did you mean by 'you people' and why do you consider that temple important?" She continued, finally deciding that if she had to tug information out of him strand by strand then she would do so without any thought whatsoever to what mental state he might be in when she had completed her interrogation...

"You know..." he stammered out, his gaze only dropping to about belt level on the woman this time. He didn't really think about it, but he was still murmuring softly and slowly.
"You people... with powers... and skills... and talents..." he said, his gaze drifting back to a spot on the ground between her feet. He was frowning slightly, and seemed ready to cringe again when and if she touched him.

Her lips parted as though she were about to speak, however within moments she had shut her mouth again and simply observed him. She was mildly disappointed in the lack of spark he held and after a brief while, she placed the plumed hat upon her head once more and tilted it downwards to hide her eyes - she had yet to replace the mask and saw no need to at this exact moment in time.
Still, she felt compelled to at least do her duty and shaking her head she released a small sigh, "True I have skill, true I have talent, true I have power of a sort - but if you believe you have none of those qualities then I pity you." She spoke up at last, her voice clear and concise, "If you do not have skills then tell me how you tread through the forests without being detected." She demanded, true she had sensed him but that was through years of training and being aware of her surroundings - had she not had such training she would have never known.
"And you never answered my question from before - why is the building important?"

"But... I... didn't... you found me..." Roger spoke back to the woman, remembering that humiliating encounter just a little while ago, when she had first discovered him, threatened him, and generally beat him without even lifting a finger.
"This is one of those places... you know? It... it's different... feels different... one of those places I can..." he faltered, uncertain of any words to really explain just what it was that he felt in those moments, it was so out of his realm of experience, there seemed no way to wrap it down enough to explain to this very angry, very mean woman.

"Sensed you." She corrected patiently as she continued to gaze at him although with her hat tilted in such a way it would be difficult for him to see her eyes and thus she would appear less intimidating, "It comes with years of experience, had I not had that experience you would have been able to track me." She pointed out cooly before folding her arms across her chest and listening to his discription of the structure behind her.
For a long while she herself was at a loss for words and as the light breeze began to ruffle her cloak she at last released another sigh - well, what was the harm in telling a stranger what you felt? She doubted she would ever see him again anyway.
"I am not here to destroy your forest or whatever it is you assume that I am out to do - I am here for answers." She began and finally slipped the mask back onto her face, "Perhaps you cannot comprehend it but something within this building beckons to me, something I know as familiar but cannot place it - I am not about to allow it to continue plaguing me without finding out what it is."
