From that point, Kai's mind fell into oblivion. Twisting and turning through miscellaneous thoughts. When she finally came back to her senses, there was a jolt of cold on the bottom left of her mouth. She reached up and noticed it was Frank's lip ring. His lips pressed aganst hers. Kai ran her fingers through his hair. Frank pulled away quickly, as if he was startled. "Sorry, ummmm.... I-I-I just couldn't help myself. I know I shouldn't have. You have been through tonight." he said with a slight bit of sadness and sympathy mixed into his voice. "But Frank," she said, while putting a hand on his shoulder, "Love is what I really need more than anything right now. Caring, you've shown me that too. With this type of tragedy, all I need is that." she got up slowly and walked to the door. She placed her hand on the cold metal handel and pulled the door open. She took a swift look back at Frank who still seemed to be contemplating his actions. "Don't be angry at yourself for what you did because all you did was make me feel good," Kai said. He looked back at her and smiled a warm and caring smile. The smile Kai loved and ran into the house after her. Kai began to pick up some crap off the floor and place it into the garbage bag she had gotten from the kitchen. Gerard looked down at her and said, "You know, I have no problems with you throwing parties, but be careful next time." he smiled at her. "And don't forget to invite me!" he shrieked. "I bet you throw your own wild parties Gerard," she laughed back at him. "You bet he does," Mikey screamed from across the house. Kai smiled and continued to pick up trash which was suprisingly not that much. After tossing the trash, Kai changed into a tanktop and some PJ pants. She picked the remote off the couch and flipped through the channels. She remebered, nothing was on on Friday nights. She hummed and walked back to her room as she pulled out a sketch pad and walked back to the couch.

Kai got up and walked to Gerard's room. She knocked for a moment and glided in slowly and sat on the bed in front of him. "Ummm yeah. Did I offend you or something?" Kai asked. "Ohhh noo." Gerard said sarcasticly. "It's just kind of bizarre to see your best freind making out with your adopttive daughter!!" he yelped at her. "It's just that he really cares and..." Gerard cut her off and said sharply, "So your saying that Mikey and I don't care about you?! This is coming from after we adopted you and.." Kai cut him off. "Woah woah woah there. I never said you didn't care. Stop putting words in my mouth! You guys care like brothers and Ray and Bob care like friends. Frank cares like, well, a guy a girl likes," "So what Kai! Do you just prance around and make out with whoever you want?" "Did you just call me a slut?!!! It just so happens that he made the first move!!!" "OH DID HE!!!! Well he wasn't the one sticking his tounge half way down someones throat and sitting right on top of him on the first day you confess your feelings!!" "Well FINE THEN!!!" Kai ran out of the room and slammed the door as hard as she could. She then leaned on the door and slid down to the floor. She began to cry again. She crawled across the room to where her blades were hidden and took one out. She placed the silver metal on her wrist and took a deep breath when Mikey walked into the room. He walked over to her slowly and removed the blade from her shaken hands. "Sorry about him," he said slowly. "He has that older sibling prtetive bond thing still going for him." "I understand," Kai said slowly. "I did the same with my brother when he was still alive. Except he was too little to have a girlfriend so I stood up for him when bullies attacked. I made a kid cry once," Kai smiled slightly for a moment. "There you go," Mikey said and got up from the floor. "He'll come around, trust me." he began to walk away when he turned around and said, "I think you and Frank make a great couple," he smiled and walked away.

Gerard's POV

(The night before)

"Hey, where did Frank go?" Ray asked from across the room. We were fooling around with our instruments downstairs and Ray was filming us. "I have no clue," Mikey said from across the room. "Let's go on a search!" he announced and bounded up the stairs. When I reached the top, I was in a total state of shock. There was Frank... but Kai? She was sitting right on top of him practicaly halfway inside his mouth. I was in utter shock. I mean you would too if your best friend was making out with your daughter. I took in a short breath and gasped by mistake. Kai turned around and noticed us. Ray closed his camera and looked away. Ray and Bob decided to leave the awakward silence and Mikey left the room. I took a deep scowl and stormed off to my room. I layed down on my bed and flipped through the channels. Several minutes later, Kai walked in. I shut off the TV and paid attention to her. "Umm, did I offend you or something back there?""Ohhh noo." I snapped back."It's just kind of bizarre to see your best freind making out with your adopttive daughter!!" It seemed worse than I had meant it to be."It's just that he really cares and..." Kai tried, but I cut he off in my blind rage."So your saying that Mikey and I don't care about you?! This is coming from after we adopted you and.." This time, Kai cut me off in her own rage, but she was in more of a rage of sadness and misunderstanding."Woah woah woah there. I never said you didn't care. Stop putting words in my mouth! You guys care like brothers and Ray and Bob care like friends. Frank cares like, well, a guy a girl likes," She tried to explain, but I didn't listen."So what Kai! Do you just prance around and make out with whoever you want?""Did you just call me a slut?!!! It just so happens that he made the first move!!!" "OH DID HE!!!! Well he wasn't the one sticking his tounge half way down someones throat and sitting right on top of him on the first day you confess your feelings!!""Well FINE THEN!!!" Kai threw herself violently from my room and slammed the door to her room across the hall. I felt horrible. As I curled up into a small ball on my side. I tried to forget what I had done, but the argumnet kept racing back to my head. Tears began to escape my eys as I buried my head into the pillow and tried even harder to forget my mistakes.

As I woke up that morning and made my final decision. I needed to apologize. As I slowly tradged my way to the coffee machine, I heard Kai singing in the shower and Mikey pull somthing form the fridge. "Ya know Gee, ya kinda went a little far last night," he shoved a mug of the brown fluid as I grasped it frimly in my hand. I nodded. "Well, I bought her From First To last tickets to take her mind off of it. Just apologize and let her go." "Your right, I can't control either of them," I began to perk up a bit after the caffine began to kick in. At that moment, Kai walked into the room and opened her mouth to speak, but I spoke first. "Look Kai. I feel so bad about last night. I just.... Overreacted a bit. Okay a lot a bit but, the inportant part is that you and Frank are happy right? I just got a little nervous and all. We cool?" I held out my arms for a hug as she ran over to me. I smiled when Mikey gave her the tickets, she seemed really happy. A huge change since last night. Maybe I wouldn't make that bad of a parent. Ya right, I thought. I rolled my eyes at my stupidity and filled my cup again.

Kai's POV (Earlier that day)

I raced out of the room and lay down on the couch and dialed Sonny's number. I was so happy to see him, I didn't talk to him much since Warped. "Cha cha cha!" was heard from the other end of the phone. "SONNY!!" I screamed into the phone. "KAI!" I then heard a bang and an ow. Sonny must have run into something by excitement. "Hey, I heard you were in New York and got tix. I wanted to see if you guys wanted to hang out for a bit or something.""Yeah Yeah sure!!!!" Sonny sure seemed excited. "Cool umm, how's half an hour or so? Come pick ya up with the guys?""Why not, see ya then!" I hung up the phone."Sonny and the guys are gonna come pick me up in a few minutes!" I screamed at Gerard and Mikey as I passed the kitchen. I ran into my room and searched for my chucks. I pulled them out from a pair of jeans lying on my floor. As I began to lace them, I heard a car horn beep outside. With one shoe half on and the other one in hand, I ran down the stairs."Bye guys!" I screamed and as the door shut I heard a faint "Bye," I ran up to the car and bolted into the back seat and knocked Sonny over with my shoe. "Jeezs, I think we could've waited for you to put your shoe on," he looked at me like I had six heads. "But I was just so excited," I pleaded and proceded to fix my shoe. We pulled onto the highway and drove towards New York. "So, what are we gonna do?" Matt asked from the driver's seat. I looked out the window and saw the sign for Chinatown. "Let's go and get chinese in chinatown," I suggested. We then took the offramp and drove into chinatown. We went into this teeny little buffet place and had lunch. After that, we walked around chinatown for a while and playing with random things we found in stores. I finally checked my cell for a moment and said, "It's 4:30, shouldn't we be heading to the venue?" "s**t!" Matt exclaimed. We piled back into the car and all arrived just in time for the concert. I gave each of them a good luck hug and proceeded to the mosh pit. When the concert finnished I walked backstage. "Hey Sonny, I need a smoke meet me outside?""Ya sure," he nodded. "Be there in a sec," I proceeded out a side door and leaned aganst the wall as I lit up. I watched as the smoke billowed through the air. "There you are," I heard a familiar voice from down the alley. As the figures became closer, I backed up the wall. The reason I knew the voice was because it was Nat and his friends that had raped me. They cornered me aganst the wall. The began to wisper things to each other, I didn't want to know what. All of a sudden, I heard a door open and Sonny ask, "Kai? Where are you?" He looked to his right and saw me cornered aganst the wall. He walked up to them and said, "Back away from my friend or I'll kick your sorry a**," "Oh really?" one of the boys asked and slapped Sonny across the face. Soon it broke out into a full out brawl. Tears streamed across my face and I screamed, "Stop stop stop!!" "Shut up!" Nat screamed while turning to me while grabbing my left arm backwards which caused a very storng sharp pain and pushed me face first into the ground. After that, everything went black.

Sonny's POV

I saw Kai hit the ground as blood exploded from a gash on the side of her face. After seeing that, I became so full of rage that nothing mattered anymore. I felt my right wrist go totally numb and I knew it was broken. But that no longer mattered. I hit all of them as hard as I could and fought back to my fullest. Soon after, they figured out I wasn't quite worth fighting and that they had pretty much won by now and ran off. After they bolted, I picked up Kai bridal style and carried her back into the doors we came from. Derek was the first to notice us. He looked from me to Kai and back again. We read each others minds and said in unision, "We need to go to the hospital!" i sat with Kai in my lap in the back while everyone else clamored through the front seats. We arrived at the hospital and I placed Kai down on a gurney and shoved her towards the nearest nurse. She gasped and wheeled her off in another direction while another nurse fixed my wrist and wrapped a pink cast around it. While it was being done, I asked Travis to call Gee. I hope it all went alright. But more imporatntly, I hope Kai is okay.

A nurse walked through the small doorway of the hospital room and smiled at the occupants as she slowly walked over to Kai. She removed the bandages from her face and placed some sort of antibiotic on the wounds which forced Kai to suck in her pain with a soft hiss while she gritted her teeth. "You'll be out in one day miss," the nurse informed. "We just need to keep you overnight for observations and then you'll be fine." she smiled a reassuring smile and slowly walked down the hall and off to another paitent. "Yess, one more day in this crappy place!" Kai cheered. She looked back again at her red arm. One word popped into her mind. Revenge. At the thought, Kai smiled, a creepy, errie, horror movie-esque smile. Like the one a scientist gave when his creation came to life. But how? Well, she had one more day to ponder. "Hey," Gerard tapped her arm. "I'm gonna go pick up a few things at home, you need anything?""Umm, grab me my notebook, sketchbook, colored pencils, and some clothes for tomorrow,""Got it!" Gerard said and wandered out of the room. Soon after, FFTL left to go back to their hotel room. Except for Sonny. Mikey left too, he had a date that night. This left Frank and Sonny with her in the room. After a short awkward silence, Kai wispered, "Silence," in a creepy voice. Sonny and Frank squirmed in their chairs. "Uber creepy!" Frank shivered. "Wasn't expecting that," Sonny replied. Kai only smiled and layed back down on the bed. "I want a snack," Frank uttered from a corner of the room. "Then go get one," Kai rolled her eyes. "Fine then," Frank stormed out of the room in a playful manner and Kai giggled. "You know what? I'm hungry too," Sonny stated and fumbled out of the room. Kai watched them both leave and turn in totally different directions. Kai stared at the blank wall in front of her for a few moments before finally drifting off into a soft slumber.

About twenty minutes later, Kai awoke and there was a new figure in the room. But she knew this one instantaneously. "Bert!" she said as he turned around to hug her. "I can't believe that you came!""Why wouldn't I come? Hey, let's say you and me go out or something after you get out of here?" he wispered. "Like a date?" Kai asked. Bert shrugged, "I hoped so," "Why not," Kai smiled. At that same moment there was a screeching of sneakers in the hallway like on a gym floor during a sports game. Kai looked to the door and saw two very out of breath boys almost collapsed on the floor. "Sonny, Frank? What's wrong?" "Kai!" they shouted together. "Will you go out with me?"

Kai awoke that morning while being shook. "Kai! Wake up damnnit!" Gerard said shaking her. "Five more minutes?" Kai rolled over and smushed Gerard's hand under her weight. "AHH!" he screamed. "Do you wanna get outta here or what?" Kai shot up. "I can leave?" she asked and jumped from the bed and into the bathroom. She changed and somehow, when she emerged, it appeared as if nothing had ever happened. That is except for the cast on her arm. She looked like it was any other day. "Take me home Gerard," she pleaded. "You don't kno how much I wanna take a shower,"

Kai bolted into the hous and in moments the shower was running. "Well I guess she's okay now," Mikey said. "He knocked on the bathroom door. "Don't forget about your date tonight with Bert. He's coming over at 3:00. It's 12:00 now," "Crap!" Kai screamed. The shower shut off and Mikey moved away from the door. There was going to be lots of moving of Kai between the bathroon and Kai's room. Sure enough, Kai exploded from the bathroom and shut her room. An hour or so later, she emerged with her hair straightened and she had on a pair of jeans and a black button up shirt. Shortly after energing, she pulled on a Batman beanie. She made something so simple look great and no one knew how. That's what everyone at Warped had said anyways. They joked and said she could make a paper bag look good. Kai thought nothing of it, she didn't know how beautiful she really was.

Kai bent herself over the bathroom sink and scrubbed the heavy shampoo through her hair. She was finally sick of her white hair and wanted her true dirty blonde color back. "Gahh," she grunted as she ripped her fingers through her hair. "Why won't this come out?" she whined. She continued to scrub until the color was gone.

A few hours later, she emerged with her hair back to normal and flowing down her back. Even though the hair brought back memories, it was nice to be out of the "mask" that was her hair. She flipped her head ever so slightly and slowly danced around the house. "Nice hair, what dye did you use?" Gerard asked as he walked by. "I didn't dye, this is my natural color," Kai said flipping it around. "I wanted a change ya know? maybe startle Frank abit," she said as she remembered the date that had set up for that evening. "Well, I like it," Gerard said leaning on the wall next to him. "Keep it," he nodded. "I think I might," Kai replied. She dug a can of soda out from the bottom of the fridge and slowly opened it as Gerard walked in after her and leaned on the counter. "Good luck tonight by the way," he congraulated as he stared blankly into space. "Thanks," Kai replied and left the room. Gerard followed he into the living room and watched her as she flipped channels. "Who do you think will win?" he asked. "I still have no clue, I mean, anything could happen tonight," Kai replied. "I guess your right," Gerard shrugged and returned his attention to the flipping channels.

"You never call me when your sober!" erupted from Kai's pocket as she fumbled for her cell phone.
"Hello?" she asked.
"Oh, hey Kai,"
"Hey Frank, umm... when are you coming to get me?"
"Is ten minutes okay with you?"
"Yeah sure,"
"Kay, see you soon,"

Kai flip the cell closed and got up to yank on some shoes. She laced up her Doc Martins in no time flat and was done just in time for Frank to arrive. They walked slowly over to his car and got in. Kai bounced up and down in the seat excitedly and asked, "Where are we goin'?""You'll see," Frank smiled. Before long, they pulled up to a movie theatre. After buying some popcorn, the movie started, just for the two of them and it didn't take Kai long to figure out what it was. "NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS!" she screamed as the beginning credits rolled. "Remember this movie?" Frank smiled and Kai remembered that day on the couch and smiled. Several minutes into the movie, Kai reached into the carton and shoved some popcorn into her mouth and found a shocking discovery,"Hey Frank? Have you tasted the popcorn yet?""No, why?" he took a handfull and placed it into his mouth. "Tastes like garlic," he uttered. The second he said the word garlic, Kai raced from the theater and out of the emergency door with Frank right on her tail. The moment she got out side, she ran up to a dumpster and threw up. She felt like her insides were gonna explode. Frank ran up beside her, "Kai, what's wrong?" Between gags, Kai managed to get out, "I'm allergic to garlic,""I swear I didn't do it Kai," Frank waved his arms through the air. "Because I did," a figure stepped out from the shadows.
