"Perhaps an unmated stallion. Though that's the best company I can think of." She raised a quick eyebrow at him and flicked her tail. "Well then..if that is so then my efforts are wasted and I'll have to start all over again." She moved a bit away from the edge of the river, turning her head slightly to look away from him and stare into the darkness.
If he really was mated she'd have to figure something out eventually. More than likely she'd just move on to the next stallion she came along. And who knew how long that would be?

Sibalto nodded in understanding and stepped out of the water, coat streaming silver water for a few moments. He gave himself a light shake, careful not to get her wet, and then shrugged, content to let the sun do the rest. "I am not mated, for what it is worth.. No mares will have me I'm afraid." He chuckled. "Though, being a stranger in a strange land probably doesn't help." Shaking his head, he tried to banish his suddenly sad thoughts. A mare and foals.. A family.. Sadly, it seemed like it wasn't to be...

She turned her head slightly, looking at him with a raised eyebrow. So he wasn't mated? She smirked to herself inwardly as she stepped towards him, careful to stay clear of the water.
"I don't see why...you're charming and not to mention handsome." She flicked her tail as before she continued. "Though you are right, being a stranger to a new land doesn't help much either."

He smiled at her expression of surprise, knowing it was akin to his own when she had said she was unmated. He gave a flick of his tail and shrugged. "Why thank you my lady, and you are beautiful and intriguing... I cannot understand how such a lovely creature would be alone... Especially having lived here for her whole life.." He nosed her and walked on. "It is interesting, to say the least.."

Firefly laughed lightly as he spoke, a slight blush darkening her already dark cheeks. Then she caught herself in the moment. Did that really happen or was she just looseing it? For some reason he didn't seem like the other stallions she had encountered, and she liked it.
"I guess I just don't fall into the catagory that most stallions have in what they see in a mate." She smiled a bit as he nosed her and continued walking as well. "Interesting? How so?"

He nodded to himself, and wondered what kind of crazy stallions lived in this place. The few that were his very good friends were mated, so he could not fault them.. But with such a mare as Firefly running around unmated, he had to wonder what they were thinking! "I suppose, that we can find so much we like in each other.. And wonder why the other is unmated.. And yet, others, do not seem to see in us what we can see in each other.." He murmured and gave a flick of his tail. "That, is at least my standing on it... I do not really understand it, but it interests me."

Her eyes lidded again slightly as she looked at him with a slight curious look in her dark eyes. Ears flicking as she listened to him talk, his reasonings interesting her a bit. "I suppose so..." Takeing a few steps towards him, she nipped at his ear then trotted ahead of him a bit. "So you like much that's in me hm? Or is that just part of your reasoning?"
Lifting her front hoof slightly, she stopped in the position a moment then took a few more steps ahead. Her tail flicking loosely as it brushed up against her back legs.

Sibalto flicked the ear she had tweaked and trotted after, chuckling. "Perhaps I find you an enticing creature, and can't help but puzzle over your single nature? Perhaps I see a strong and beautiful lady, that I cannot help but like..." He reared and pawed the air, trotting away along the bank of the river with a floating gait and a bannering tail. "But then again, perhaps it is all part of my reasoning.. Such as it is."

Firefly turned her head again to look at him, her dark coat glistening softly in the light. It was starting to get a bit hot for her, but eventually the season would change and the cool weather would come. That she was gratful for. "You find me enticeing? Really now..." A small smirk danced back onto her dark features as she eyed the stallion, her long tail flicking back and forth as she gave him her best seductive glance.
She tilted her head lightly as she watched him trot along the bank, blinking a few times. "Part of your reasoning? How so?"

Sib spun and began trotting the other way, arching his neck and prancing as though showing off for a herd of mares like he used to back home. He eyed her keenly, taken in by her look, but wondering if it was all a game. "Perhaps I'd like to think I am a wonderful stallion that doesn't get all the attetion he deserves, just because I found a wonderful mare who obviously does not." He grinned and reared again, executing a capriole as he moved back toward her, and once again began to prance.

She laughed lightly as she watched his antics, raiseing a curious eyebrow at him. Never haveing met a stallion that acted quite like him, it was...interesting to say the least. Atleast he was trying to keep her attention.
Takeing a few steps towards him, she flicked her ears back and smiled lightly. "Maybe you are a wonderful stallion that deserves all the attention in the world...."

Sibalto was happy to hear her laughter, and smiled with her. He couldn't help but show off, but at least she was amused with it. At her words he stopped dead, frozen in midmotion. Foreleg raised, and the opposite hind tilted, hoof still barely braced against the ground. He titled an ear at her, face a mask of surprised pleasure. "You flatter me Lady Firefly." He rumbled charmingly, bowing his head so his forelock fell into his eyes again.

She took a couple more steps towards him as he stopped, though keeping a bit of distance between them for the moment. Her dark eyes softened for a moment then darkened back to their normal look. She wasn't quite sure how to respond at the moment so she just smiled and tilted her face away slightly, looking at him with one eye. A few strands of silver and black hair falling over part of her face. "Only returning the favor...Though it is true."

Sibalto and chuckled, pawing the ground. "Well, you have my thanks for your kind words, my Lady." He sidestepped a few paces and nosed the river for a moment, not really drinking, but keeping himself busy. Something in her dark eyes appealed greatly to him, but he wouldn't be too forthright, seeing as how they had just met. Straightening, he smiled at her and began a slow walk further downstream, knowing they were almost at the lake. "What do you do, to pass the hours, Lady Firefly?"

Firefly smiled and nodded her head lightly. She watched him nose the water for a moment before looking around, flicking her tail absentmindedly. As he started moveing again, she followed, staying close to his side for the moment. "Usually just wander really...Sometimes you run into some interesting Soquili if you just wander. I don't usually do much else besides that."
She felt a little sheepish at that moment. It was true, Firefly mostly wandered whenever. Never really staying in one place for a long period of time. She did other things, like flirt with any stallion she'd come across that her charms would work on, but that hadn't been for a while. Though she really didn't feel like telling him that, he might get the impression that she was playing him for a fool. "Sometimes I'll just watch others, getting a feel for their personality through their actions. Running is always nice when it's not too hot outside."
