AnijaYoukai I would be satisfied w/ no sequel. The movie got me onto the books and I think a sequel might just ruin the story even more. Yes, agreed. I adore the movie despite its departures from the books, but it served its purpose and ended wonderfully. If they made more they'd have to basically do the whole series, and they could potentially ruin it.

paradoxical Liam Aiken (who played Klaus) is a friend of mine and he said that even though he was contacted about a sequel last March, nothing is defenite yet and even though the director is gung ho about a sequel, Paramount hasn't decided to start writing the script, but there is a possibility. That's so cool that your his friend. I would love to meet a cleb. Altough I know they are just normal people they are still famous. I would probobly give Liam a big hug if I met him. But that would be awkward for him wouldn't it sweatdrop

Eh, I really don't care that there isn't going to be a sequel. The first movie was okay, but I think a second movie would just be....ick.

The movie was fine and everything, but I don't know how they would make a sequel. They tied up all the loose ends at the end of that movie. It was basically an unfortunate week. Then they found out everything. It skipped around with the things they learned about their parents and stuff.

I hated the movie. I couldn't believe how different it was from the books. I can't stand it when I go to see a movie based off of a book and it's completely different.... besides, reading the books is way better because the books smell good... (yes I smell books... I love the smell of paper ninja )

i wanted them to make a sequel however i doubt that will happen because the kids starring in the roles are alot older now well two years but you know what i mean. if they wanted the same general age and changed actors i would picket against it new actors in a sequel will never match up the the original plain and simple

I didn't really mind the deviations from the movie that much (it annoyed me at first but looking back on it, it wasn't too bad), however, what really pissed me off was that they made Olaf the main character instead of the kids... and he wasn't creepy, he was just funny...
My dream-team would be Daniel Handler doing to screenplay and Tim Burton directing.
I think Emily Browning and Liam Aiken both did a wonderful job, though. Can't really say anything negative or positive about the twins who played Sunny since they didn't have any actual lines.

Donut Conspiracy My dream-team would be Daniel Handler doing to screenplay and Tim Burton directing. If Tim Burton directed then we all know Johnny Depp would have to have a role. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of Burton's. But I think he should realize that there are other decent actors out there... whee

Well, I'm happy... The first movie was extremely depressing, not only because it was supposed to be that way but because it hardly got any of the facts from the books straight. I don't want to have to suffer through that again, although it might be interesting. >,>
