Rabid Jigglypuff
I didn't skim. And please don't insult me by treating me like I'm stupid o_O
I didn't crit this character for my own health or perverse pleasure.

Sorry, didn't mean to come across as if I was attacking you.

Rabid Jigglypuff
And no, the whole idea of him being conscious or not is not what's bugging me. If I got shot in the jungle (for example), a wolf would not come and lick my wounds lovingly. Maybe to taste my carcass for later consumption, but not the way you described it. It doesn't happen. Normally. Hence the "fantasy".

Uhm, once again, I in no way said lovingly. Apparently I wrote it in a way where it comes across that way. So, since I comprehend that, I rewrote that aspect. Also, wolves obviously aren't cuddly creatures. But then again, they aren't bloodthristy bastards either. I mean, hell, there's only like 20 known cases at most of a wolf attacking someone and pretty much all the cases, they were either provoked or were straved to the point of insanity. But yes, the way I wrote was too sugar coated.

It's been reworked now to play a bit more realistic if the situation were to arise.

Rabid Jigglypuff']Hunters who hunt at night use nightvision goggles. They do not blindly fire into the night or they might shoot EACHOTHER.[/quote]

That detail might have helped earlier, you know. razz
But at least you made it clear now. So thank you. I'll rework it.

[quote="Rabid Jigglypuff
Electroshock therapy is used, as I said. But it is much different. I think you should consider doing some better research on the topic.

Ok, well do you have some suggestions there? I'd appreciate it if you can point me in a proper direction there.

Rabid Jigglypuff
As for his "feral" spells, Clinical lycanthropy is believing oneself to be an animal, wolf or not. Perhaps what I was saying is that its not as easily recovered from as you insinuated in his past. He sounds pretty socially successful to me, compared to a snarling guy crawling on all fours. (which are the medical symptoms, fyi)

Well, ok. He doesn't believe himself to be an animal persay. And thanks for the reiteration on that the other bit. I did make it more clear there is a struggle to remain of a sound mind so hopefully that does help.

Rabid Jigglypuff
Raw meat is not a snack. Try it sometime, you'll puke. Your body's not made to digest it. Rare is believable, raw is not. As for the "laughing matter" comment, it was to show that consuming raw meat isn't like saying "I think I'll have Taco Bell today." You HAVE to have a stomach used to it.

Uhm... Ahem ~looks embarassed~
I've actually tried raw meat before and did not vomit nor find it gross. This is kind of why I put it in there as more so a personal experience I wanted to incorporate into the character (like my love for filmmaking and wolves).

But if you still have a problem with it, I'll cut it. It's really not a huge issue. It's how you worded it before really, making it sound like some sick little joke. That's what bugged me.

Rabid Jigglypuff
Transgender is not mythical. Its a chemical sex change. Multiple heads and limbs are actually quite easy to make. o_O You just hafta tell the body to grow more of what it already has.

Ok, you're right about transgender. I just kind of got into a spiel there and disregarded that people do get it done. My fault. The additional limbs I was not aware of. Are you actually serious?

But I still get some points on the dragon bit. razz
Just teasing

Rabid Jigglypuff
If you're going to get crit? Make sure you take it with a grain of salt. Not everyone's gonna say what you want them to say and personally, you jumping down my throat for my educated opinion is not appreciated.

Once again, I must apologize for coming across as such a dickhead. I truly did not mean to. Really, my main problem was the way you worded certain things. Besides, at least I didn't reject everything you had to say.

Also, I understood more of what you had to say this time. When I first read it, how you put things seemed so snooty at the time and other things rather arrogant. So, I seriously think it was miscommunication between us there. For that, I am truly sorry.

Plus, I've been under a little bit of pressure at the moment. I'm trying to get all the new additional footage for an indie horror film I worked on editied into the film before we ship out for a film festival where the due date is luming right around the corner. Also trying to keep tabs on the composer to make sure he will finish the score on time. My dad also recently had shoulder surgery so he's kind of incapacitated and that leaves me to do most of the work around the house while my mom is out of state helping out my sister.

So yeah, it's a rat race on my end. Probably also another reason I got snippy. Anyhow, I did not mean any ill intentions and I hope you can forgive me. Will you accept my truce? smile

Try not to be so defensive. Don't ask for crits if you aren't willing to listen to what people have to say. You're free to rebuff, and you're free to disagree... but let's all be respectful.

In all honesty, I did not mean any ill will. Refer to my reply to Rabid Jigglypuff for all that. It was just miscommunication is all.

Aubrey Lockheart
And why I won't do a full crit outside the offcial thread, I will say one thing: name will have to go so might as well do it now. Its about as obvious as the werewolves in Harry Potter.

Awww, ok. crying
That's one thing I was hoping not to give since I have had this character for a while and so I'm so use to the name. But oh well, if it means more realism and believability, so be it.

Was never at war X3 Bet yea, I accept the apology. It wasn't my intention to sound undermining about anything if my comments happened to have been interpretted that way.

Suggestions for the electroshock therapy, do you mean? There's plenty of sites on it but the actual procedure goes by a new name so people dont get the bad connotations associated with the past. You can google it up, I'm sure.

That's all I wanted though, was for my ideas to be read and considered. :3 Take what you wish from it! *flitters off*

Ok, since the backstory seems to be causing most of the problems with the character (as it reads to fantastic to most), I have removed it for the time being and reworking it. Hopefully I will be be able to revamp it to where it will be a believable character and piece of work.

Sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you to those who have commented and pointed out the major flaws. I will do my best to fix these problems right away.

Ok, character backstory has now been revised and is now viewable to all. Some minor changes have been made to the character personality too. Critiques are welcome.

Well, I'm not sure what to post anymore, and I don't want to just be a bump whore. But I guess you're right about not letting it slip off the first page. Anyway, when would you like to have an RP Zenigma?
PostPosted: Sat Sep 02, 2006 1:05 pm

well, my Internet access is not assured so I'll tell you tonight if I can. Also, I finished Branwan, take a look.

Ok, sounds good to me. I also went ahead and read over Branwan's character and background. I very much approve. I look forward to sharing an RP with her.

Well, as of now, I have finished my revisions on Christopher entirely. All areas have gotten a slight change and his cluster headaches disorder has been erased as it will add nothing to his character really. Not to mention no disorders or trauma that scars him to this day. Yes, he still has his little mental institution period but it doesn't really much effect who he is these days. His species of wolf has also been changed to a Red Great Plains Wolf.

Feel free to look it over and critique.

Interesting character, I can totally relate to him. So, is he up for some RP later on?

Why thank you kindly Erik. Sure, I'd love to RP sometime. I'm going into two different RPs at the moment but maybe we can work you into the current RP between Christopher and Branwan. What do you think? smile
