Well, I grew up playing Mario, so I don't really have anything against him, but I grew tired of him around the time SM64 came out. I think that was the last new Mario game I've played (excluding Mario Kart 64/Mario Kart on GBA, because I was sort of forced into playing; and Super Smash Bros Melee, which isn't really a Mario game but has him in it anyway, but it totally rocks).

dburger Artue The S - Rouga Densetsu Quote: How about putting our 'Beloved Bishop' as an unlockable character in the third game I'd flat-out refuse to play him, even if he did "OMG! Uber 2700-hit unblockable combo" moves. I don't think I'd refuse to play Bishop given the opportunity -- let me give an example so you get what I mean here: I Hate Mario. No if's and's or but's about it . . but when my brother picked up his brand new N64 and all it had was a frickin' Mario game I found a way to take out my aggression I'd never had before -- I'd drown the annoying little plumber out in the Princess' moat!! twisted If I had the chance to find a way to screw Bishop over repeatedly like that, then I might be able to overlook the fact that I'd have to choose to 'play' him.
Do I make my anti-Bishop feelings crystal clear now?? ninja That's good logic! So, have Bishop beat himself up, mabye fall off the ledge of a skyscraper or something... or as S ingeniously put it, "Bishopcide!" mrgreen I never knew you despised Mario so much! I'll admit, Nintendo has produced WAY too many Mario games this past year... they need to give the plumber a break. lol. i think mario soccer and some others are on the horizon 4laugh

Wario > Mario
Totally.
Plus the Wario Ware games are so freaking insane it's like trying to watch Happy Lesson, FLCL, Eva, Utena, and The Ring all at once

CrazyRob lol. i think mario soccer and some others are on the horizon 4laugh I wonder how that'll work out... it looks promising. I'm not the biggest fan of soccer, nor do I watch it on TV often. I remember being on a Soccer Team when I was in elementary school and my Dad was the coach. Good times! ...although I gave my Dad holy hell during practice sessions... sometimes I didn't feel like playing! And other times, I was just plain mischievous... ninja

CrazyRob yeah, it's off-topic, but since we're talking about it, here you go: mario baseball: http://www.gamespot.com/gamecube/sports/mariobaseball/index.html mario soccer: http://www.gamespot.com/gamecube/sports/supermariostrikers/index.html Wow, they both look great! They seem to have gotten great reviews so far. Thanks for the links. I've always wanted to get the Mario Tennis game for Gamecube... sweatdrop

you're welcome.
i, too, hope to one day get the tennis game...and maybe the golf game. i had mario golf for the N64, but that was it. i also worked so hard (including hitting balls through rings in the sky and still making it on par) to earn everything that i sort of don't want to do it all over again in a new game and forget about the past game. *shrugs* neutral

Mario Golf for the GBA is awesome... I probably spent around 75 hours total on it! It's sort of like an RPG. I know what you mean about re-doing everything on a new platform... sweatdrop I should get out on the golf course more often! I go out to the range every now and then.

Quote: this version of artue reminds me of evil ryu OMG! artue is now evil artue! Except there IS no Evil Ryu. The Ryu commonly referred to as "Evil" Ryu (coined by Capcom USA) is actually Ryu overcome with the intent to kill. Check out this preview of my upcoming "Evil" Ryu bio on my website: "Basic Info: Canonically, Evil Ryu (who isn't even evil... he's simply consumed by Satsu no Hadou, the Intent of Murder) only existed for a split second, in the original Street Fighter, when Ryu was so consumed with his desire to beat Sagat that he snapped. During this fight, Sagat had actually beaten Ryu, and was honorably offering Ryu his hand to help him up. Ryu wished to win so badly, the Satsu no Hadou overtook him and Ryu scarred Sagat with a Metsu Shoryu Ken. Neither Ryu nor Sagat knew what the power was at the time. At any rate, when you play as Evil Ryu in any game, his appearance there is non-canon. Got it? Fun Facts -The Psycho Power that made Ryu into Psycho Ryu and the Satsu no Hadou that made Ryu into "Evil" Ryu are two different forces, but they are very similar. Thus, this is why Ryu snapping out of the Psycho Power caused him to make up his mind to never use Satsu no Hadou again. -The fact that Evil Ryu is called, well, "Evil", is apparently an invention of Capcom of USA's. Capcom USA apparently wanted Ryu possessed by an evil spirit or something along those lines, but Capcom of Japan didn't like the idea. Evil Ryu is known as just "Ryu" in Japan, and when referencing to him (in order to point out he's different than plain 'ol Ryu), people refer to him as "Satsu no Ryu" (Ryu of Murder) or "Mezameta Ryu" (Awakened Ryu) -Evil Ryu knowing how to perform the Shungokusatsu is obviously non-canon, since, like, Gouken refused to teach it to him, and given the fact that Evil Ryu only appeared briefly, it's doubtful that Akuma taught him. -The kanji that appears the back of Evil Ryu's gi is "Metsu", which translates to "destruction". -Ryu has decided to never give into the Satsu no Hadou again. So the chance of Ryu canonically becoming Evil Ryu again are slim to nil, and Capcom killed slim. "
