"I'm not sure of his birthdate, I've had him a little under a week as of now, though."

She smiled and glanced over to see Junketsu bring out the book, she glanced at PJ with a brow raised.

"Can she read? Sjajan certainly can't."

Sjajan stared at the words, puzzled and slightly upset. Her gaze met Junketsu's and she wondered what she meant, she knew that Indu read quite often, and read to her, but she didn't know how to. Perhaps her mother, or the other big person would help them?

"Eed!"

She demanded, staring at Indu and PJ challengingly.

Somewhat awkwardly, Indu got to her feet and approached the children. She'd never been read, or read herself, a children's book. In fact, she did read to Sjajan alot, but it was always whatever she happened to be reading. They would've finished the Count of Monte Cristo by now, only it was terribly long and boring, and Sjaji always ended up trying to eat it.

Still, rather than bringing the babies to the chairs, she sat next to them, and lifted Sjajan onto her lap. Sjajan, however, didn't seem very grateful and instead scowled at her, before looking at her new friend, who was left on the floor. With a tiny smile, she also lifted Junketsu and nestled her beside Sjajan. Once everyone was settled, she looked up at PJ and nodded.

"Why don't you read? I'm sure they'd appreciate it more, I often get overexcited when telling a story..."

Sjajan clapped her hands, reached over to pat her new friend, then looked up at PJ beseechingly.

"Eed?"

Indu nodded, squeezing both children affectionately.

"Looks like it."

Sjaji looked at the book curiously, her mother's had no pictures in it, so this was rather new to her.

Indu nodded and scanned the page, grinning at the kids as she spoke.

"Deep within a beautiful forest, there were many animals, all very different, but all part of one huge family."

After giving them time to examine the page, she turned it, and nodded to PJ to continue the tale.

Indu accepted it, and seeing as this was being told to two small girls, she decided to add her own line before continuing the story.

"However, Samuel couldn't do it alone, his sister, Samantha, was his most trusted advisor. She was a lioness. They worked together with a representative from each type of animal to keep the harmony of the forest."

Indu couldn't help but laugh, this was rather sophisticated for a children's book, but she couldn't complain, afterall, she often read to Sjajan from her history texts and anthropology books.

"So if you ever find a small animal, furred, feathered, or scaled. Don't hurt them! Instead, make friends, they could help you out in the end!"

Holding back giggles, she was only nineteen afterall, Indu closed the book and waggled her eyebrows at PJ.

"What a good read!"

Sjaji seemed to enjoy it and clapped eagerly at the adult's performance, before looking over at her new friend.

Indu gently stroked the milk babe's back and looked at the drowsy Sjajan.

"I would've liked to speak to you more, but I think we should do that another time. Sjaji needs a nap anyhow, and so does Junketsu, it seems."

She slowly transfered the pale baby to PJ and cradled Sjajan more securely so that her back faced PJ and her head rested on the teen's shoulder.

Sjajan yawned and sleepily reached up to get a fistful of Indu's hair before sticking her other fist in her mouth. The babe found it comforting to hold onto her mother. She wanted to play with Junketsu, but her eyes kept closing...

Indu blinked at the hug, then a smile lit her face and she hugged back, one armed as she held her baby.

"Yes, we'll have to come over again soon! let me just give you my number and address..."

Being a writer, she always carried a pen and notepad and with the ease of practice, whiped it out and wrote, all one handed before tearing it off and giving it to him.

"Thank you for a lovely time PJ!"

The brown eyed babe lifted one eyelid to regard him gravely.

"Juh..."

"Sjajan says so too."

Indu smiled and opened the front door, waving at him before leaving.
