Lacavii was a bit surprised when Santos slowed to a trot and trotted along side him. He didn't say anything to Santos though as just as he looked up he spotted the lioness they were looking for. She was an amazing varieties of color. It amazed him beyond belief and even caused his jaw to drop which he quickly closed and looked to Santos. "That her?" Lacavii asked with a hint of hope in his voice though he tried to hide it.

Santos grinned as he saw Lacavii's jaw drop slightly. "Indeed. I told you she was pretty," he responded. As he looked up he noticed the little lunar who had adopted Naida. "Naida! Yiska! I'm glad you were so close by!" he greeted them as they reached the top of the hill. He rustled the top of Yiska's head and bowed his own to the water lioness.

Naida smiled and bowed to her king in her own greeting before sitting and regarding Santos. "You know very well how to find me...after all, what water lioness can seperate herself from water for long? Yiska and I had just been talking about you too...but perhaps it should wait for later."
Turning, she looked the green newcomer over, surprised to see that he must not be too much younger than her, as she'd only barely reached adult status before finding Santos and her home here. She liked how a lighter green, bordered by darker green, stripe ran down his face, across his right side, then finished on his rear paws...and when his mane finished growing in, she knew he was going to be VERY handsome...as if he wasn't already. Bowing her head, she said to him, "I'm sure you've heard already, but I'm Naida, and that little lunar shadow of mine is Yiska."
Yiska giggled and tumbled over on his side as Santos greeted him. Looking up to Naida, he asked, "Aww...why can't we ask him? Santos...can I join your pride? I like Naida, she's so nice to me, and I don't want to leave her..." He said the last part as he looked up at Santos with a "how can you say no to this kind of look?" on his face.

Lacavii came up beside Santos and looked to Santos as he bowed to the lioness and cub and then he turned his attention to the lioness who introduced herself as Naida. She had a lovely name and her appearance was even more lovely, he actually caught himself staring for a moment and blinked. "I'm Lacavii. It's a pleasure to meet you Naida." Lacavii replied and bowed his head as a respectful male would and not the teenage punk Santos had so severely named him as.

Santos looked at the cub with a grin on his face. "Naida I told you that any of your cubs are allowed into my pride and I think it's safe to say that this is your adorable cub," he said not taking his eyes off Yiska. "And so the answer is yes, you may be in my pride," he looked over at Lacavii, the teenager was doing a good job at being polite, other than the staring bit. "Naida, I was talking to Lacavii about different lions I've made friends with and as I mentioned you he asked to meet you, and so here we are," it could be considered a lie but it told some truth. He had mentioned lions he'd made friends with, and Lacavii had agreed to meet her.

Naida laughed and bent down to nuzzle Yiska. "Yeah, I guess you could say he is mine, even if not by birth. Happy now, little one?" Looking back up at the older two, she raised an eyebrow slightly, and smiled creased her lips as the mention of Lacavii asking to meet her, as his staring at her hadn't gone completely unnoticed. In fact, the thought that he had made her quite happy, though she wasn't exactly sure why. Her eyes sparkled as she looked once more at Lacavii, and lowered her head a bit. "I'm honored you would ask to do so, and the pleasure is all mine...well, okay, not all mine, that'd be selfish..." She blushed a bit as her cubbish nature took the better of her and she started sputtering. Hoping he wouldn't take her for an idiot, she let her voice trail off, though her eyes never left his face.
Yiska, on the othe hand, was completely oblivious to everything as he got up and danced and ran around in circles in the grass as he whooped his joy for all the world to hear.

Lacavii glanced over at Santos as he told Naida the reason they had come and was fairly surprised by the reason. It was partially lying but he went with it anyway as Naida spoke to him and he grinned at her. "So you are part of Santos' pride?" Lacavii asked not minding her cubbish spattering it meerily made him smile even more.

Santos laughed at the cub and settled onto his haunches. He was there to make sure Lacavii was respectful, and appearently to play with the cub. He waved his tail infront Yiska as he listened to the conversation.

Oh, that smile got to her, made Naida shiver with delight and stammer even more. "I-I only joined about very recently, having only arrived here in the last two weeks. A-at least I think it's been two weeks, I'm not sure anymore, time just kinda gets away from me sometimes..." At this point, Naida was so embarrased that she couldn't speak a thought coherently that she blushed madly, and tried to hide her eyes by looking at Yiska, her purple forlock falling into her face as she did so. Taking a deep breath she tried again. "Santos took me in shortly after I arrived here, and offered a place in his pride. I grew up as a rouge with my mom and sister, but never was happy, but soon as Kaida and I reached adulthood, we got into a fight with my mother and all three of us split up. Kaida went downriver, I decided to go upriver, and...well...here I am." She peered over at Lacavii, wondering if he regretted meeting her now, and felt like a complete fool.
Yiska stopped his whooping soon as she spotted Santo's tail waving about, just waiting to be pounced on. Deciding he must rectify such a situation, he quickly pounced and missed, rolling into Lacavii's front paws.

Lacavii nodded in a thoughtful manner almost seeming his normal self now though the urges of defiancy still lurked in the back of his mind. "I'm surely glad Santos agreed for you to stay with his pride or we may not have met on this day." Lacavii replied as he glanced over at Santos and then back to Naida. "I wish I could meet your sister and mother. I know not of my mother or the rest of my family. I was abandoned not long after birth and found by my pride leader Ezhno. He raised me and I became part of his family." Lacavii explained not finding any fault in Naida's story but more in his own. Something big hitting Lacavii's feet brought him to his senses and he looked down to see the little lunar cub lying on his feet. "Hello little one."

Santos chuckled as the little one ran into Lacavii's feet. Again he waved his tail around to get Yiska's attention. "Now Nimbus will have a friend to play with withen the pride. I wish we had more members..." his spotted black and white tail feathers danced infront of the cubs face. More members would be nice so nice, his pride was so small compared to some of the others.

"Hi...Sorry!" Yiska giggled, waving a paw in greeting up to Lacavii, before scrambling back to his feet. The fall had made him slightly dizzy, and he stumbled a moment before trying once more to pounce on Santo's tail.
"It'll grow in time, Santos...just have faith, and lots of cubs." Naida said as she smiled at her leader, before turning to regard Lacavii for a few moments, thinking about what he'd said. She felt a sense of pity that any lion should have to start out life alone, for what a horrible fate must await for most. "So, in a way you're like Yiska...abandoned to your fate, yet it seems Fate has been kind to you both, in more ways than one. Neither one has, nor will, grown up without a guiding figure in your lives, and I have the honor of being your friend. As for my mother...well, I can say you'll never meet her unless some sort of miracle happens and she decides she wants to be social again, as I grew up with no contact with any other lions outside of my mom and sister. As for Kaida...well, with her only time might tell, as I have no clue where she is, though I do hope to see her again some day."
She grew sad at the thought of her family she once had shared, and turned her face from Lacavii to watch Yiska, tears starting to brim in her eyes, a light blush coloring her cheeks as she thought back to her cubhood. For a brief moment her unhappiness showed plainly on her face, the grief over the loss of her old family, of the decision to move on to seek out the place where she belonged, of finding it, but still feeling like more was missing from her life that she longed to have. She bowed her head, letting her purple forlock cover her face from view as a pang of hurt surged through her heart, and she longed to hide and be alone or go for a walk and work out her frustrations in a more physical way. "I...I'm really sorry...I think I must give a lousy first impression," she said as she looked up, trying to hide everything she'd just felt, a shy smile on her face.

Lacavii grinned at Yiska as he trotted over to Santos and then turned he turned his attention over to Naida. He stayed silent as she spoke even when she went quiet for a moment he kept silent as not sure what to say. However when she finally finished and went silent the second time he spoke. "I wouldn't say lousy. A little sad yes but everyone's a little sad sometimes yours just happens to be now." Lacavii said with a nod. "I'm sure mine's not any better."

Santos watched the cub pounce on his tail as he teased him. When he heard Lacavii he tried to hold back a chuckle but did a poor job. They both seemed to be drowning in their emotions so neither could give a good impression of themself.

Naida attributed Santos's chuckle to Yiska's antics, so ingored that pair for a moment. Taking a step forward, she licked Lacavii's cheek lightly. "Very sweet for you to say, but I'd have to argue the issue of who is worse at the moment. I assure you, your impression is far from bad."
