Emotion, yes, he does show some emotion in his singing, however, I don't find him to be the best screamer ever. However, I'm not dissing him, I simply feel he's over-rated. He gets the job done when it comes to the vocals in Tool, and certainly doesn't detract from the music, so he's fine with me.

He is overrated. I find him around 50 on the all-time greatest vocalist list.

I have listened to that song, and I know what you mean, the vocals are pretty good. I suppose I AM a bit biased, though, because it annoys the hell out of me how most of Tool's fans completely miss out on the point of the band, and only listen to hear Maynard, and not even bother listening to the music.... sweatdrop

And hardcore Tool fans are completely ignoarant, and think that Tool, and Maynard are gods. An dthey think that APC's Imagine is better than John Lennon's.

Tool is an excellent band, however, the whole point of Tool is the amazing music they create, it's not ******** pop music where the only thing that someone is suppose to pay attention to is the vocals -- the fans fail to realize this, most of the time. That's my problem with it. And yes...the Tool fanboys CAN be ridiculous.

Immaculate Stone Shiney Dollar Harvested Sorrow Yes, Freddie is. Because as we all know, opinion = fact. xp In all seriousness....about Geezer, there are a SHITLOAD of better bassists than him, many more than twenty. He's maybe average on a technical skill level, however, we love him so much due to his overall sound...a lot of bassists may be more skilled than him, but most just don't have that certain "groove" that he does. xp geezer is awsome, and he also wrote most of Black Sabbaths Lyrics. He also made the bass more of a Heard instrument instead of a background noise. Lyrics, do not mean you're good at bass. And John Entwistle made bass the main instrument. The Who = before Sabbath. And because that gave me an idea, who do you think is the best songwriter/lyricist. Songwriter - Paul Mccartney & John Lennon Lyricist - Bob Dylan well, i guess then, i'm just allowed to have my own opinion, because thats what this thread is all about.

Angus Rocks its because he was so inflentual that he is the best if you can reach that many people with your music, you gotta have something going right When you say "best" it usually means most technically skilled, most influential is another thing. Either way, if we're going to go by this standard, the Beatles and Elvis are the best, not Jimi Hendrix. xp
