Well, I'm definetly a receptive empath, and a partial projective. For those of you confused: I can read people's feelings to the point that they become my own. And I've pushed my emotions onto others and changed theirs because of it. I'm horrible at shielding so far, and so the empathy has almost killed me/driven me mad a couple of times so far.
And apparently, I'm like a psychic battery. Whatever abilities people have usually get a boost when I'm around. Especially if they are conciously using them. My friends happened to tell me this after weird sh** happens around me. Their abilities tend to get stronger, and unusual things happen. And one of my friends is a medium and this happened. We kind of had to fight off spirits trying to take over us. For the second time. He and I are extremely close, so that probably didn't help... sweatdrop
And I can also predict weather accurately. And I draw wild animals to me too... If I'm in a woods chances are some animal is going to come say hi...or at least investigate me.
So yeah...and if any of the other empaths here could give me some help with shielding, I would be in your debt. I really need better shields. Badly.
And I know random martial arts moves that I was never taught in Hapkido. And I know how to make them very very effective. It just pops into my head sometimes. I enjoy this very much. ^_^

all have potential to be anytihng they want to be.....some just have to work harder than others.....i was just an average bookreader about a year age and then ,to borrow an old word or two, "The impossible happened". life changes and grows like a seed.....so dont tell me you powers.....you just havent discovered them........

This is going to be a long list. I've had most of these since I was pretty young.
I'm been partially clairvoyant since I was 8, though I can call up visions if I really concentrate, can sense energy and read emotions very well. I'm a bit telepathic with those close to me and can just generally sense locations and other details from a distance, which I guess is some form of far sight. I have a bit of psychometry and can see past events in objects or people, and as I mentioned somewhere earlier can construct barriers or seals using pure energy that aren't visible to the naked eye.

I feel I have a strong connection to Nature too, and I can sap energy from plants (Though I never want to, I can't quite control that. sweatdrop )
I can see a few seconds into the future. xp
And..I can see ghosts/spirits.My sister also had a connection like mine but she tossed it away after some things started getting to her.I've kept it though, and sleep in the room where my sister once was.And when I was really little, Probably 6-7ish, I woke up in the hours of twilight to find 4-6 figures standing around my bed, with a light blue aura.I identified them when I was 10, as My grandmother, her dog, a little girl (probably newborn, my mother had a miscarridge before she had my sister and I so I'm guessing this is her), My dads dead sister (14ish I think), and another adult lady I did not get details of.Since I was little, I hid under my covers and waited for them to disappear.Now that I'm older and more well studyed in the paranormal department, I wish it would happen again to see if I can contact them.

Pyrokinesis. I'm still not all too good at it, but I can put small fires out, and re-light matches when it's stll warm. Focusing real hard, though ><
And...I don't know if this is anything, but I see things in my dreams that happen later on in life - give or take 2-3 weeks later.

I'm almost sure I'm an empath.
I need to learn how to shield because it's affecting my life a little. ._.
I get really strong vibes from people and places when I 'feel' for them, and I believe it might be linked in with the empathy thing. It's strong enough for me to be able to tell what kind of a person someone is, and what type of energy the places give off. I can do this anytime I want, but it helps if they are strong energies. ^^
Now that I think about it, maybe I'm sensing energy.. o_o
There are a lot of simple things I can do, but there's one that was very strange.
I could just think about something and there would be a string of coincidences leading to me getting it, or it happening. My friends all say I'm really lucky, but I don't know. It's really confusing because there's a little bit more to it than I'm going to say, but I could control some situations I was in.
I can't explain it.
Recently, I've lost the ability to do this.
Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

I want to kick whoever came up with these bedamed guidlines.
Actualy I have a bit of a wizdom power. I can know things. Radom facts something like a big important event in the future or even whats on TV. All junk that comes to me in diffrent ways, mostly by just poping into my head. Then I sort of play connet the dots and figure out what it means and why. Once something comes into my head in that way it's automaticly fact. So in a sence I know everything. xD
It can be quite annoying sometimes, it's been a ripe pain. Esspecialy since I can't control it. I wont be or get many or any other powers until I'm freakin' fifteen. Dx But it helps me with tarot cards (another instance where I've never been wrong.) it's just sort of meh, roll with it and see where it goes, ya know? Where the hell did you come up with that crazy notion? What's with this age limit thing? Powers don't just spring up because you're a certain age They come up whenever you're made aware. Awareness can happen at any age.

Awareness can happen at any age. I have to agree. I've never heard of an age limit on powers. Some people are born with powers, other get them after near-death or things along those lines.

No age limits, BUT...in innate psis, abilities tend to awaken either around age 4 or 5, or around puberty. For logical reasons. In psi-active households, some may display abilities in infancy, perhaps due to the exposure.
For innate abilities to awaken at any other time is very uncommon.
Of course people who are not innately psychic can usually learn it, if they apply themselves.
