arrow Coming from the Frozzen Village returning to Lyr. Passing though.
Passing over the mountains that leads to Lyr. Celestra looked below her using the open communicator screen thing. From what she remembered. It required a person to be in psychic link with the mana outside. Acting a his/her ears. Then showing the image she sees on this strange screen for others to see. Right now she had a doll acting as the 'copilot' for her. Or the 'eye' and 'ear' outside. Natural talents in human were very rare. Most goes insane because of the many voices intruding in their minds. And seeing things out of others eyes may sometime be even worse depending on whose eyes you were looking though. Looking though she could see what appears to be people coming in and out of a mountain? "Miners?"

The energy that was flowing from Draconis was flowing freely. Anything of the 'same' design, and powered the same way would have been powered up by now. Though one would still need a key to really make any use of it. The mountain quaked a little as the huge ship passed by slowly over it. Making a kind of whizzing sound as it vibrated. Something was directly overhead that's for sure.

Hitting one of the buttons that connects to Aith'a. "Say, Aith'a. The mountains by these barrens. Did they had something special to it?" With the communicator on, and as well as an overflow of mana that carried voice and images, old yet workable communicator device would activate if it was still left on. "Mountains Master? I remember at one time. They Lyran and Runist half breeds were finding ways to connect the two lands together by forming a kind of highway between them by going though the mountains. It was faster and safer. But because of the way they mined though, it caused cave-in and many lives were lost. Not to mention their kinds were highly frowned upon most were hunted down, or just left. Also, there is a rich deposit of mana infused materials there. The same ones that makes the Draconis. With a power source and key, a machine can power itself up on it's own by the owners voice alone and work. Only detailed work would require a hands on interference."
"Hmm, I see, I have much to learn."
"I have a line of recorded libraries right here for you Master. From the secret languaged to new runic magics."
"Ah!" Gleeing happily! She loved reading and learning new things. "I can't wait to read it."
"I shall have it cleaned up and ready for you then Master."
"Thank you Aith'a. I shall be landing soon then."
"Alright."

Faris examined closely as Vechos prepared for the demolition. As he watched him trace a line of mana back to a reasonable distance, he was reminded with some of the city history. That little line of mana was probably the only mana that had ever touched this soil. One of the many reasons this colony failed was because they could never establish a mana well within the mountain. Perhaps it was because of the short lifespan of the colony, or maybe due to lack of mana in the area.
After Justin had finished with the preparations, he also retreated to a safe distance a few paces behind the halfbreed. He had never seen one of the capsules explode, but he had measured blast radius from inside the ruins and deemed their distance appropriate.

Justin hesitated. Well, this should be far enough, as far as he could tell. He knelt at the end of his line of mana, and touched it with his left hand. With his right, he fished out his welding mask, and said to Faris, "Turn your eyes away."
Three sharp, short words came from his mouth. The mana pulsed in response, rippling through the line to the capsule, stopping at its hard metal shell. The capsule seemingly remained unresponsive for a moment, until it began to visibly melt from the inside out. A sudden disk of light burst from it, before being followed by a spherical explosion, cratering the wall and floor beside and below it, pushing the artifact along.

Faris averted his eyes as recommended by Justin. He also lifted his cape and draped it over his arm and torso to protect his attire from any debris. The explosion proceeded with a bright light, which was followed by darkness. It appeared that the blast put out most of the lamps that were on the wall. Faris quickly began circulating the perimeter of the room, relighting the lamps. The plan seemed to have worked well, for the artifact was now lying facedown in the center of the room. After the artifact was luminated again, Faris examined the backside of the goliath. It was a little dusty from the debris, but the iron shell did its job well in keeping the artifact intact. "Allright, lets get as much as we can out of this quickly. That explosion could have possibly damaged the dome." Most of the room was incased in dense material that would budge easily, but the chance of a minor collapse was always something to be cautious of.

Justin stood on the right side of the fallen artifact, tracing over lines like a toddler trying to remember what sound a particular letter made. Keyhole, keyhole... it should be relatively easy to find. It would have to be a bigger indentation than the carvings, and most of the lines would lead to the keyhole in one way or another, if in unseen ways, in some cases.

Faris looked over the patterns on the arms and legs of the goliath while Justin looked for the keyhole. The symbology on the front of the body continued on the back as well, and carried similar formations. Though they were similar in shape, the directions were diversed. Some of the patterns flowed towards the center of the artifact's back, others flowed away. It was almost like the circulatory system that made up Justin and Faris's body. "Do you see this? Some of these marks face the limbs, and the others face the torso." He traced the finger along the runes towards the center point of the artifact. His head slid over the familiar keyhole that he felt before. "And here is the source."

"Only the marks can normally go both ways..." Justin said, frowning. It would need a full on rune system for each arm and limb if it required a line in and out. He'd also said something about autonomy... That was... near unfeasiable. Maybe something along the lines of golems, but nothing like this. He htought, and traced the keyhole.
"Can you get something that will hit the physical mechanisms in this hole?" he asked Faris.

"Surely they can, but don't you find it odd that the runes fit a pattern in their direction?" Surely it was possible to fit any direction, but the formation of them seemed symbolic.
"I could, but I can't guarantee it will do much good without a mana trigger." Faris examined the keyhole more closely. It was not unfamiliar to him. Most of the other locks in the ruins Faris had picked easily, and this one had a similar composition.

"I can provide for that," said Justin in the same typical quiet tone. He traced the keyhole with a finger. Traces of the mana he'd smeared on that finger flowed as he commanded it with a slow, controlled exhaling, and sending a small glowing pulse down it's veins. Justin could feel the ones which did not show on the skin...

arrow Coming from Lyr. //yeah, there to bug you all, i think? prob. not//
The ride was silent. Seems the vehicle was a smaller version of draconis. Levitating of the grounds. Allowing it a smooth easy ride. Celestra looked out the window. Contemplating the change in her future and role now. It seemed to have gotten larger and heavier then it already was. She was still young. Barely even reached her 20s yet. Yet she had to think, act like an adult for such a long time. She's forgotten how it was to just relax and be a kid. Of course, that wasn't allowed, she had responsibilites. Not that she minded it, she loved her people dearly. But once, it would be nice. To be with friends and just play, then worry about the lifes of her people resting on her shoulder. Shaking her head. Now wasn't the time for such idle thoughts. Once this was done, maybe, just maybe things will change. There's something..something is bound to happen soon. Something that would change the course of history. And she will be a part of it.
"Turn a little to your left Aith'a, you should see a buldging mountain. That's the one I saw already excavated. . . Are you sure it's safe to just..enter?"
"We will not know till we enter. We only need one thing there. They can tinker with what's left of it. I doubt they can make it work without the proper key and sequence. They didn't left things to be easily used for others."
"Hmm, I see."

Parking and locking the vehicle. The two entered the cave. Ignoring the stares they were getting. It's not usual to see a pastel haired girl with odd looking ears come in. And an albino pale girl to boot. Using mage light to see though, then waste it on fire.
"The air..it's..heavy here."
"They did not finish mining here it would seem."

"I guess it's a good thing you have hair, they were staring at you quite hard."
"I like the color of my hair, the first Master said it looked nice."
Celestra chuckled. "Yes. Aith'a, green looks good on you. So..just how deep do we have to go?"
"I am not sure, but I'll let you know when I find what it is we need."
