Seeing Tristan move away with a taunting grin, Antony scowled. His face turned slightly red from the small outburst of his, and he silently, as Tristan turned away, took out his notebook from beneath his body. Taking a pen from his pocket, he scribbled something down on the paper- quickly, frantically. The sound of harsh paper to pen sounded for nearly sixty seconds, an then stopped.

He stared at the words a moment and sighed. He closed the tattered book, putting his pen away, and his fidgety fingers drummed on the table as he looked at the chess game, at the couch, at that boy's head.

What did he know? Did the Tristan boy know about it? The florescent lights hummed and hummed his fingers 'drummed' and 'drummed'. Remember that one time he tripped and fell? In one of the Bard's best-thought-of tragedies, our insistent hero, Hamlet, queries on two fronts about how life turns rotten? Remember that one time....? Humming...

What did that boy know?

He wasn't even far into the game and it was already a mess. He was sloppy- moving that particular black pawn would lead to only an easy victory for the white pawn over it's first adversary. He moved the white pawn more intelligently, but was not very interested in finishing the game.

what did he know? Did he know about it? Did he know?

Perhaps Antony was being paranoid. a common feeling, he reminded himself- he wasn't going down THAT road.

Still.

He peered up and left the table, hovering slightly for a moment. He looked at the boy's head.

He didn't know anything. Nothing more than anyone else would know.

It was best not to take the line, not to talk until spoken to.

"hmph." he grumbled, his quick footsteps leading towards the door of the rec room. With one last look towards the boy on the couch, and muttering, just loudly enough: "imbecile." He left.

(gtg now, thanks very much! This is my first RP with him, so it was interesting to work out some things. thanks again~ Tristan seems like a really cool charrie- can really push Antony's buttons XD I hope they meet again.)

Kate had been listening to the conversations that had been going on, keeping quiet all the way. It wasn't like she could interrupt anyway, given the awkwardness of it all. She had seen islanders who had grown animal bits, but not up close... Not to mention actually talking to them.

She picked up a game from the selection, one called 'Fable'. She then walked over quietly to the couple playing chess, and stood there, observing he game for a minute. She had always wanted to learn how to play chess, because the only intelligent board game she know how to play was... Chinese chess.

Shrugging to herself, the teenager approached the Xbox instead. Putting the disc carefully into the console, she picked up the controller for Player 1, and waited for the game to start.

Looking up from his writing, Tristan noticed that someone had turned the TV back on and was playing some game on it. Curious, he put away his book, and wandered over to get a better look. Quietly sitting down in a nearby chair, he made a mental note of the game title, should he ever decide to try it for himself, and watched as the small asian girl went about starting up the game.

Nicholas woke up startled as a loud thunder crack emanated from the TV, he groan and stared up at the TV, seeing some was playing a game he didn’t recognize and had just cast some kind of lighting spell. He glanced at the wall clock again, seeing little time had pasted since he fell asleep.

He let is tail go and it naturally uncurled itself, as he did this he felt it brush something on the opposite side of the couch. |It was that girl he’d avoided earlier.

“Oh…err...s-sorry” he stammered as he got up on his knees and inched himself away from her.

Kate stayed silent for a while as she felt something on her arm, as she had seen who the 'culprit' was. She was not frightened to speak, just a little nervous... No, very nervous. Firstly because he was someone new, secondly because he had fur and a tail.

Staying silent won't help, and she had spied another male in the room. Taking in a slow breath, she smiled, "Eh, it's okay."

She paused her game, and looked at the male on the nearby chair who had kept silent. She wondered if maybe everyone could join in on the game, and there should be many multiplayer games available...

"Would... Would you two want to play something together?" She asked, her voice rather soft but loud enough for the two males to hear it.

Noticing the girl's quiet utterance, Tristan got up and moved over to a seat close enough to join in. Chuckling "Sure, Why not? Though I'll have to warn you that I'm pretty awful at most of these games" Taking a controller up in his bandaged hands and making himself a bit more comfortable in the seat he went on to ask "So, what game then?

Nicholas still hadn’t answered Kate’s question, Tristan had interrupted before he could answer, he’d been so hesitant, why did he always have to get so tongue tied around girls? But Kate seemed just as shy as he was, maybe he could take advantage of this.
“Err…I guess so, you both have an unfair advantage over me” he held his hands up to his chest and twiddled his thumbs, since his last change they’d one of their joints “I don’t technically have thumbs anymore you see” he said through a forced smile.

Janice walked into the rec room with Albert, her plushy in hand. It was the first time the eight year old had been inside it because of her love of the sea. She looked around the room with big, cereus, blue eyes. She saw three older people inside. She looked at the Man with the tail wondering why he had it but then resumed looking around the room to the TV and the game. “What Albert?” She asked the plushy there was a pose for an answer. “Yeah it’s a wired radar.” She agreed to a statement that hadn’t been made.

Kate laughed nervously, feeling awkward again. She nodded at the male with a tail, "Ah, I'm sorry..."

The silence that followed hung there for a second, before the game they were going to play flashed on, and loud music blasted through the stereo. It was a multiplayer RPG game, where you can take on as one of the five available jobs and go on a quest to save the world from falling into evil's hands.

A mage, an assassin, a warrior, a rouge, and an archer.

A typical RPG game, but it looks fun, nonetheless. She pressed 'start' on her controller, and a game screen came up. Pressing 'start' again, she selected the mage. She passed a controller to the feline male, and smiled kindly.

"By the way, I'm Wei Fang, but please, call me Kate." She laughed, "What are your names?"

"I'm Tristan" looking over to Nick he went on to say with a grin "well, you're not the only one playing with a handicap" holding up his bandaged and burned hands. "All, the same I'm not going to let it stop me!" as he went on to grab the mage and fiddle around with the settings.

“Nicholas, but no one ever calls me that” smiling for real this time “My nick names always been Strawberry” he could stop himself laugh at that, he quite liked his nickname “Don’t ask, it’s kind of a long story.”
He knew he was blushing again; hopefully his cheek fur was concealing it.

As he was handed the controller he laid back into a more comfortable position and crossed his legs. As he did so, he carefully pushed his tail to the side; he’d already sat on it accidentally a good number of times. He looked over the Tristan, it was about time he properly introduced himself.

“Guess Kate’s the one with the advantage over both of us then” he laughed, he was finally losing up now “But we’re not fighting each other in this game are we?” he continued as he choose the rouge, it seemed fitting for his current form.

Janice just about jumped out of her skin when it went to game mode. She fell backwards and Albert went flying. He landed on top of the TV out of the Eight year old’s reach. “Albert you come down here.” She said getting mad at the plush. She didn’t know how to get him there wasn’t much in the room she could clime on. She turned to the Adults. “Can One of you Get Albert down?” She asked.

Kate smiled, "Ah yes, this is teamwork effort!" She started teh game, and there was a sort of 'movie' at the front, stating something about an evil load. kate wasn't paying much attention as she continued, "Strawberry? I guess I shouldn't ask how you had hooked up with that nickname, should I?"

She laughed, and added, "Can I call you Nic? You have the same name as someone from my school..." She then turned to Tristan, and mock pouted, "Hey, you chose the mage too!"

When the bear flew to the top of the television, she was surprised. Looking to both the males first, she turn turned to look at her back. She saw a young child, and stood up. Grabbing the bear, she returned the girl her plush, holding it out with a hand.

"Here you go," She smiled.
PostPosted: Sun Aug 20, 2006 8:44 am

"Strawberry eh? well, I've heard stranger..." then looking to Kate as she commented on his charcater choice, grinning he replied with simply "well, how else would I be able to justify flinging flaming doom? I'm pretty sure none of the other classes can do that!"

When the bear flew by, he quickly turned around and noticed the little girl standing there. A moment of supprise passed across his face, quickly replaced by his usual look of amusement "so young and yet in a place like this?"

It was odd how Nicholas hadn’t notice the little girl than had entered the room, what with his new heightened sense of hearing. He brushed his tail behind him (partly stuffing it into the couch cushions) he didn’t want her noticing his animal qualities; his mind told him that if she was so fond of a stuffed animal, she’d want to start petting him. He tried to ignore her, the though of someone so young being one of the Doctors subjects would bring his high spirits back down again.

He turned to Kate “You can call me whatever you want” he said shrugging, he hadn’t been feeling like himself for sometime now, so he’d partly abandoned old name.
