I've said this somewhere else before but it I think it needs to be said here: Maybe the reason some people hate the dubs so much isn't becuase they're bad but becuase you they aren't the voices your used to hearing.
I mean come on, you watch an anime for 200+ episodes then your used to the way the sound in japanese. That means that when you get watch the english version, no matter how good it is, it's going to seem jarring to you at first.

Well, the english dub is okay (that's how I found the tv series) but watching the japanese version, it way better than the dub.
As for the voices, the only voices I approve of is Hinata's, Kiba's, Anko's
Kakashi's, and Sasuke's, but I like Sasuke's voice the best.
(Even though I hate him with a burning passion. Sorry fangirls.)

The first time I ever saw Naruto was inside the Shonen Jump Magazine, and when I first saw it, I thought "Damn, that won't get far. " And I was wrong. of course. ^_^
That wasn't the point though. What I really want to say is, if there wasn't a dub, I would've went on thinking Naruto was worth nothing, and would've never ever seen Hinata! gonk
That's why I'm happy for the dub. 3nodding Cause without it, I would've never seen Naruto, or Hinata.

That's so true! ^_^ When I first saw a english subbed version of Naruto - When I heard Gaara's japanese voice, I thought, "OMG, what???" Cause I thought he sounded a bit wierd compared to dub Gaara. I though he sounded way older than he should have sounded.

I heard of Naruto long before it came to America. I am thankful that they brought such a great series over but I believe that they are target an audience over here that is to young for it, and that the voice actors on most of the characters lack emotion and talent. But this is just my opinion.
