Personality: Shy, timid, curious, and overly concerned about things she has no part in. She's not very good at making friends, going from nosy and annoyingly curious to a blushing mess of shyness then abruptly running away. She's open to all sorts of people at first, but once she's set on not liking them- it's final. She's easily influenced by people she cares about because she usually trusts them with all her soul.
History: Lucy's mother was Maggie, Julia's best friend and next-door neighbor, despite the fact Maggie was five years older than her. When Maggie was fifteen, she got pregnant with Lucy and dropped out of school, moving several cities away to live with a secluded great-aunt. When that great-aunt died when Lucy was five, Maggie inheritted the small, two-bedroom house but had no money to keep it standing so she turned to a little-paying waitressing job to put food on the table. Meanwhile, Lucy was silent all during school, gaining attention from her teachers, who suspected abuse or mental problems. No matter how much Maggie told them that Lucy was fine- just a little timid, they thought she should go into a therapy program. For three years, she did, but it made no impact on her silence. Then, a month ago Maggie lost her job and that, combined with the fact Lucy was making no friends and was incredibly unhappy, resulted in her sending Lucy to live with Julia. Julia had enough money and enough "personality" as Maggie'd called it to help Lucy on both parts of the problem.

Calliope's story: I was out playing one day, back in Austrailia, and a storm popped up. It was so powerful, that before I could swim back to mum and dad's reef, the waves tossed me aside like a little rag doll. I must have blacked out, because the next thing I remember is waking up, not far from here. I've been out on my own ever since.

Dislikes: Cute things, people in general, her brother Kamikaze, flattery Personality: Malice was jaded at a very young age by seemingly nothing. Nobody really knows where her anger came from except herself, and she certainly isn't speaking. Malice was always the girl alone in the corner, who made boys and girls alike cry when they came near. She seems to be trying to fix her attitude now that she's in with her new caretaker, Becca, but who knows if it's the truth or not? Malice is clever, charming (when she wants to be) and dangerous. He can act twice or half his age, depending, and can go from one to the other in the blink of an eye. Being around him is sometimes tiring for those who don't expect it. He loves taking risks and getting into trouble. Especially skilled at Quidditch, Kamikaze plays Beater, aptly enough. He can be a bit shy, though, ever since he was socially isolated at his old home for admitting he liked a boy. He doesn't like to talk about that. Generally, though, Kamikaze is a high-spirited boy who hates to see anyone sad, and goes out of his way to care about others.

General Personality: Quiet, bookish, shy and intelligent. Loyal and compassionate outside her shyness, but prone to brooding. Awkward and clumsy in most social situations. Hard to get to know.
Likes: Reading, learning new things, Hogwarts, schoolwork, singing, writing, nature walks, daydreaming (but never in class), Transfiguration, Pygmy Puffs, coffee, the color blue.
Dislikes: Needless rudeness, being in a crowd, being the center of attention, failing at anything scholastic, when people mark up books, prank magic, ghosts, bullies, flying, summer.
General History: Sophiel was orphaned at a very young age due to a rather unfortunate but common circumstance -- a car accident. Being of a long line of Muggle parentage, it was quite a surprise that she had any magical ability. Luckily, the headmistress of her orphanage was a Squib (a person of magical heritage without any powers) that explained to the frightened Sophiel about the world of witches and wizards, and she was enrolled in Hogwarts without a second thought as soon as she came of age.
Because Sophiel had always thought of herself as extremely ordinary and talentless, she worked very hard to make up for whatever lack of natural talent she may have had with learning. To her, the magical world in which she's been raised was a blessing, for now she had a purpose and a goal.

Being slightly on the shy side, Po is fairly quiet, friendly, loves music-any kind. He is rarely seen without his headphones on, and is usually spaced out listening. Akki, or 'little one', as her brothers like to tease her with, is extremely shy and introverted. In general very quiet and unassuming, she is extremely sensitive and gets her feelings hurt easily. Most of the time she is very quiet, but has a temper somewhat like a solar flare, coming fast and furious, but fading quickly. She generally feels inadequate, comparing herself to other girls and sees herself as lacking. She absolutely adores the two men in her life, her brothers, but detests the nickname they pinned on her when she was young. More comfortable with books than with people, she rarely comes out of her shell, especially around boys.

Jakkin, or Jak, though only a half-brother by blood, loves his young siblings and is very protective of them, especially Akki. His idiosyncracies, are mainly accepted by his siblings as normal, though others tend to stare. He seems unaware that his wings may make others uncomfortable. He is confident, in a quiet, casual way, uncaring of the looks that tend to follow him.
He enjoys watching 'pretty things' and considers kissing a contact sport. A flirt and a tease, kissing is never taken seriously. He views relationships in a casual way, looking upon them with amusement.
Not prefering one gender over the other, he chooses carefully the people he spends his time with. When he does find someone he deigns special, he looks not at their outward appearance, but at their character. Someone who shows honest caring towards his precious Akki fares high in his estimation.
