Well I think that Edward may have feelings for her and the creator of FMA wanted the matching to be Ed x Winry but didnt want to mess up the anime with too much love in it.

Personally, I think that people who pair up Ed and Roy or Ed and Envy are really just.. I dont even want to start listing things that are wrong with that and the plot of it but anyways..

I dont think that Edward matches up with anyone in the series. He's just a boy with a goal and doesnt take in too much of girls, romance, love. He cares too much about his brother to care of that. Which I find is really mature of him, though it seems he may be a bit TOO mature..

I think that Ed and WInry are an adorable couple!!!!! oh and her full name is Winry Rockbell!!!

I think they make a very weird couple, mostly Winry would yell and throw a wrench at Ed and Ed seems abit annoyed at her at times, I say they'er way better off as just friends.

I whole heartedly agree. I don't think romance works in this anim.e. Hughes-san and his wife Gracia work and Roy x Riza would be good but anything else....just dosn't fit.

Ed really doesnt 'like' anyone in that way.... and I am glad. I would hate it if this series got all crapified with romance. >_>

THANK YOU! FMA isn't supposed to be a romance anime. it actually has a plot, unlike all the other romance anime, and hence forth does not need it.

I agree with that. Roy x Riza is probably my most favourite and likeable pairing in all of FMA. Its really a classic military love story. You gotta love those. <3.

Yeah, and its not all gross and lovey-dovey when they aren't like that. I think that's whats so great with them. Otherwise, FMA=no romance. (Well...MaesxGracia...but that's diffrent....)

Its more of like a friendly relationship, maybe sibling, but definintely not romance, i mean what would the series be if he was all 'winry winry winry, oh look its [insert villian of choice here] killing that innocent person, oh well, winry winry winry heart heart heart ' it would lose its catch. Anywho i think that Ed and Winry would make an okay couple, but definently not happening.
