"SHY! EEE!" Aricia screeched, shaking her charm-laden hand and filling the garden with a merry tinkling. Apparently the shinies made her very happy.
"MOMMY!" she called, turning to show off her new goodies. "SHY! EEEEEE~"
Kierla turned her head to the ground, casting her features in a shadow. "I see," she said, tilting her face back to the light, both voice and visage neutral and flat as usual. The only hint to her disappointment was the slight quaver as she said: "That is unfortunate."
She almost didn't reply to her child's call - after all, she still wasn't quite used to the title 'Mommy'. Then she jerked her head in a quick twist toward the source of the noise. "Say 'thank you,' Aricia," she said without the trace of a yell, yet the sound still carried. "Thank you, Rune," she added, as if not expecting Aricia to follow her instructions - which was actually quite right, for Aricia went right back to playing with her new 'shinies'.
As if irked at her daughter's ignorance and wishing to punish her, Kierla immediately called out: "Aricia, it's time to go. It was nice to meet you, Rune," she added, before scooping up the baby and gliding off.
