Yankees win 11-8!
This is the wrap of the game!

ANAHEIM -- After two demoralizing losses to the Angels, the Yankees closed out their road trip in style, hammering their West Coast nemesis, 11-8, to salvage the series finale on Sunday.
Bernie Williams went 4-for-5 with two home runs and six RBIs, while Derek Jeter also homered twice, leading the Yankees to a win in the final game of their 11-game journey. New York finished the trip, which included a five-game sweep of the Red Sox, with a 7-4 record.

Jeff Karstens held the Angels to three runs over six innings in his second Major League start, earning the first victory of his career.

Jeter got the Yankees off to a good start against Joe Saunders with a two-run homer in the first inning. Williams added a solo homer in the second, giving New York a 3-0 lead.

The Yankees blew the game open in the third, as Robinson Cano singled in a pair of runs with the bases loaded and Williams drilled a three-run homer.

The Angels hit Karstens for two runs in the third and one in the fourth, but the rookie got a double play to end the fourth, then sat down the next six Angels hitters he faced before turning the game over to the bullpen.

Los Angeles tried to climb back into the game against Scott Proctor in the seventh, but it managed just one run, stranding runners at the corners. Jeter got that run back with a leadoff homer in the eighth, his 12th.

Kyle Farnsworth allowed a single and walked three hitters without recording an out in the eighth, prompting Joe Torre to bring in Mariano Rivera to get the final six outs.

Rivera got a double-play ball, but Nick Green booted it, allowing two runs to score. With the lead down to 11-7, Rivera retired the next three batters, moving the game to the ninth, where he closed it out
