Lunathiel's face took on a pained look before she turned her head away from her sister. That had been exactly what she hadn't wanted to hear. She had hoped for, maybe even expected, a lesson in fighting of some sort. The kind only an over protective sibling could give, but that wasn't the kind Jeevita was. She had obviously been trained in running just as she was.

She sighed and flopped down on the shore resting her muzzle in the cool lake waters. She didn't notice how silent tears were streaming down her face from her dispointment. She wanted to love her sister and respect her but every moment they stayed like this she lost bits of those things. "Is..."She started with a very hushed, barely audible tone. "Is that...all you can say?"

She shook her head. "No, it's not. But unless you want to die trying, the I could show you a few things. Not much, since you don't have horns or wings, but I can teach you to use your hooves." She said kindly. Sadness surounded her, bye Lunathiel's energy. She knew she didnt' want to hear that should was to run. Jeevita just didn't want her to loose what she had left of her family. Even if she wasn't family, she still didn't want Lunathiel to die.

"Hooves are a powerful weapon. But agenst a Kalona, not even I could protect myself. Though, I'd rather die trying to save others, then die running away trying to save myself." She said looking down at her sadden sister. "Lunathiel. If you are my sister, I'd rather you be safe then in the mursey of a Kalona. Even the sweets Kalona could turn to the nature that they are."

She turned away. "I don't hate them. Infact I was attracted to one. And still am. Because he is a Kalona, it would never work. Which has already proven it's self out." She felt a deep saddnes come out finally. She didnt' want to admit that she had feelings for Calamity. Whatever it was, it was over now. She was past that. Plus she has two others that she has to figure out what is going on. Her confussion is hurting them more then she intened.

She finally turned back to Lunathiel. "But, if you must learn, then I shall teach." She smiled brightly. Hiding her feelings again for past memories. They were to never open again. Well, as long as she lived that was.

Lunathiel grinned and immediately perked up. She leapt to her feet and stood at attention eyes shimmering like the stars above. She was overly eager to learn but as she heard her speaking of the Kalona her fighting spirit diminished. “Kalona…they’re vicious…right?” She asked pawing at the ground nervously. She had heard of the Kalona before and they were to be feared. Cold hearted creatures that enjoyed killing. Until Jeevita had mentioned them Luna hadn’t even considered that she might be facing one of their kind.

Jeevita nodded and looked rather serious. "They can be. Some aren't, but I'd still watch them. " She didn't want Lunathiel to hate them, just stay out of the their way. She was still finding it hard to hate them. Or like them in a friendly way. She was sure that Calamity was different, but something changed in him like what could happen to any Kalona, even the kindest ones. "I can say, it won't be easy to teach one. Though, it's possible." She smiled. She wanted her sister to be able to put up a small fight until someone got there.

She was thinking the only thing you shouldn't do when fighting is think about hating the other. That's what most soquili got wrong. Just because you hate them doesn't make you any stronger. In fact, it makes you weaker. It makes you think about how much you hate them, rather how much you dont' want to hurt them much, but want to save the other soquili more. "One thing is, don't think. If you want to fight, don't think of ways to hit or hurt someone. Just do it. If they dodge, then be sure you can move faster." You don't want to think to hard when in a fight. You just do what your body tells you. No questions asked.

"Never question yourself when you are about to deffend or when your about to attack. You don't want to be distracted about weather or not you could brake a nail in all this." She wasn't joking, though it was kind of funny. She didn't laugh though. She just looked straight at Lunathiel. Totally serious and wanting her to pay a little attention. She wasn't just saying this for fun. It's stuff you really had to be aware of before wanting to fight or protect yourself. There was so much to teach her, with little time.

Lunathiel stood still repeating everything her sister said in her mind. ‘Don’t think…just do…move fast…never question…not distracted about nails…’ Her eyes widened and she pulled back a bit confused by this statement. She repeated it again in her mind then burst out laughing. It was so funny. “And I thought you…were…no…” She smiled weekly at the look on the elder’s face. The mare hadn’t been joking one bit.

She coughed and bowed her head a little embarrassed at her childish outburst. “I’m sorry…I was listening…please go on…” She lifted her head with a bit of a frown. She didn’t know who she was kidding. There was no way she’d ever be able to fight, she’d be a runner for the rest of her life and that feeling was making the energy about her heavier.

Jeevita gave a little frown when Lunathiel laughted. Why was she thinking this was funny? She shrugged. Perhaps it was just the way she was. It was better to laugh then not. But it was also better to cry, aswell. She gave her a smile and nodded. "If you don't think you can do this, why ask?" She said noticing that she was having a little inside fight with herself.

Lunathiel had an unsure look to her. Jeevita felt the same way when she was starting out. Now look where she was. She giggled a little. "I'll be able to show you some tricks. One thing is pushing. Use your back legs, not your front. " It was a good way to knock another one down. Like she had to do when saving Inali. "Pushing one down could give you an advantage, maybe not for long, but sure enough. Expecially when they don't think you can do anything." She carried on a little.

"Are you sure, you want to learn this? " She asked making sure that Lunathiel wanted this. If she didn't she could simply change the subject. There was alot of interesting things to talk about. Though living through an attack from any evil beast was one of the most important things one might go through.

Lunathiel’s heart felt torn. She wanted, no, needed to learn how to fight but she wasn’t strong. The way she figured it she never would be. She shook a little bit trying to clear her head. Jeevita had said that you shouldn’t think when fighting but Luna’s mind was so puzzled just trying to stop thinking required quite a bit of thought.

“I don’t know…”She said finally hanging her head ashamed. “I want to but I can’t. Don’t you know any speed maneuvers? Something I could use without having to be strong?” She looked to her maybe sister hoping, praying that there was such a thing. She defiantly wasn’t the fastest soquili either but she had more speed the brute strength. If the slightly older mare had such a move then Luna might just be able to use her slight dance training to make it effective. There were, however, a lot of variables to consider. The biggest, there may not even be such a move.

There really wasn't a move for that. It was get out of there when you could. going through a crowd would help alittle, but would cause more bloodshed then needed. Then she thought about it. " The woods. Head for the woods. You would move better in the woods then any beast with wings." She knew from experience. It was alot harder for her to get through the woods with her wings. Kalonas couldn't exactly put down their wings, so it'd make it alot worse for them then for her. She smiled.

"It's the only way to have advantage over any beast with wings." she nodded again. It was true.

Lunathiel pulled her head back yet again, this time in fear. She had no intention of returning to that forest, never, not ever. Even if she was being chased by a Kalona, or anything worse. She paused a bit, was there anything worse then a Kalona? Well, even if there was there was no way she was going back to that rather dark place. “Jeevita…”She started pausing after a bit to re-establish a connection between the two. “No….sister…” Even if they weren’t sisters she liked the way it sounded. “I would…I think maybe…I should stop these lessons.” She smiled weekly and looked out over the smooth surface of the lake that was turning a lighter blue color, the sun was coming. “I won’t be able to do it. Running will need to continue to suit me…”

Jeevita nodded. "Well, one thing I can say is, stay away from anyone you know that will hurt you. No matter how nice they are. It's the energy that will guide you. " she had listened to hers, and finding out that Lunathiel had the same sence as she did, she wanted to know if she had ever listened to hers. It was a matter of thought really. If you see a soquili you know that isn't very nice, you shouldn't go near them.

She nodded again. "If you wish, I shall stop." She sat there and finally gave a quick smile to her. She looked towards the ground. It was an uncomfortable feeling. Nothing said, just silence now. She looked back at Lunathiel. She seemed so much like the other soquili, but a little bit uncertain about things. Soon life would show her the right direction in things, Jeevita just hopes if something bad does happen she's there to help.

Lunathiel nodded to confirm her original statement. She wanted to stop, she needed to continue but she didn’t want to. “Yes, I’ll listen to the energy…but we should stop…” Her gaze moved out over the waters of the lake that were now reflecting the orange and pink hues of the sky. How long had they been out here talking like this? It didn’t matter now. It was early, she was yet to sleep and Tala would be awake at any moment. The girl would need her help.

She backed away from the waters and took a step closer to Jeevita. She leaned closer and nuzzled the slightly older mare’s neck. “I’ll be careful sister… but I need to leave now…” She gave a soft smile before trotting off back toward the village turning only for a moment to cast a parting glance back to her could be sister. ‘I do believe it…’ She thinks. ‘I do believe we are…but…belief is not enough…’ She sighed then continued on her way thoughts muddled and unreadable. The only way they’d ever know for sure was to find there mother or father. Both who had been missing far too long.

It was starting to look…impossible.

Jeevita nodded and watched her trot of. It was the ending of their meeting. When and where they'd meet next is something that would never be known. She sighed and turned away as she troted. She had to get back as well, there was many things she must do. She walked slowly back towards her teepee.
