these women know they can die but they're all "if god wants me to die then I'll die"
well whats going to happen when you die and you leave behind 2 dozen little kids?
that doesn't seem like you care soo much for them mad

Don't forget to add genetic disorders and STDs into the equation.
And the father leaving, then the mother dying.
Not to mention the thought, "What if it has a major deformity?" and it's abandoned.

Okay, I'll stop. sweatdrop

I read that particular article for a short time -- I was too nauseated to read any further.

The one woman said that if God demanded that her life be sacrificed, then she was happy to be a sacrifice. gonk

Those are fine sentiments; however, the obvious aim of this article is to encourage other women to do the same. I cannot abide by such blatant disregard for the health of other women.

That entire website makes me nauseous.

I don't undersand their particular way of thinking, nor do I wish to ever grasp it.
The one thing that particularly irks me is that they don't seem to understand that not everyone wants to be like them.

question I thought it was the other way around...the LESS babies you nurse the less risk of breast cancer.

Her older children must be hitting puberty, and they don't smell so sweet anymore. Time to replace them with a new model!

I'm gonna go and vomit, EXCUSE ME! burning_eyes I can't even start saying where- like... "My body was created for this purpose" "I want another arrow for God's army." "My body was created for this purpose. "

I get the feeling that this so-called "Above Rubies" is trying to say that all women are merely baby-making factories...

Especially when they say this:

Quote:
Above Rubies is a magazine to encourage women in their high calling as wives, mothers, and homemakers.

Not to mention that they only seem to love "THE PRESHOUS WIDDLE BABEH" and not the older children...

You know, I thought MY higher calling was somewhere along the lines of art, music, and computer science....

I feel SICK SICK SICK SICK SICK!

I thought that my higher calling was in the field of literature.

I feel impure.. emo
YES YOU GODDAMN SLUT! scream UR gona go2hell for that. YOU NEED TO POP OUT MORE AND MORE AND MORE KIDDOS FOR GOD! GOD TOLD YOU TO!

scream

Kidding. 3nodding As you can probably tell. But what the coodles, if you're going to hell for that, I'll meet you at 6 o'clock after being struck down by GOD'S HOLY LIGHTNING BOLT o' d00m!

O-O Oh noes! I gunna get stoned!

But I would not be so all alone
Everybody must get stoned!

Anyone else notice that they seem to only be using the Old Testament? Someone should email the site and ask them why they don't add some Stars of David to the website, seeing that they appear to be Jewish.

My brother has a T-shirt that totally sums up my feelings about this woman and her... "webpage". "Every day I think people can't get any stupider, and every day I am proven horribly wrong." gonk

Reading this makes me want to write down as many reasons I can possibly think of to not have a child. I can almost change the word "child" or "person" to "picture" in a few of these reasons (like 20+) to express how much I love drawing.

It's so exciting to see who God will send to bless us each time.

I'm sure Ted Bundy's parents said the same thing.
EDIT: Oops, I just remembered something my mom told me she saw on the Biography channel. He was raised thinking that his grandparents were his parents and that his mother was his sister. eek
Soo... uh, I'm sure there was one notorious serial killer whose parents thought the same thing.

If you feed your children Ramen Noodles every day I guess it is.

We want to raise another soul for Jesus.

Is it just me or does the wording of this one make it sound like Jesus is the Grim Reaper..?

I'd be more offended, but they're obviously crazy. I laugh in the same way I laugh at the teenagers who try to tell me that I don't need to have sex to keep my husband happy and show him love--because that's what jigsaw puzzles are for.

Crazy Lady
The birth of a baby is the ultimate fulfillment of love between a husband and wife. Each child is an unbreakable bond between a father and mother.

W. T. F. If this is the case, how come so many couples with children get divorced? A fulfilled marriage depends on so much more than having children.

Whatever this woman is smoking, it must be good. I wonder if she'd be prepared to share it ..
