Alrightu, for Yourie, she has been in Gaia before when she was younger.

She helped smuggle a fugitive from her world into Gaia at that time, and has been secretly helping her friend ever since. If D-Corp did a little research, her name has been used not only for the house her friend is staying in, but a little...ahem, illegal activities as well. So they check up, find out she's helping Mel take care of Alora (Has experience yay!) so they decide to chuck Liang at her?

And of course she wouldn't want anyone to know, so she would agree. She would be in bigggg trouble if anyone found out.P:

Works for me. x3 Seems like your typical... "Hey you~ we know what you did :> have a child!" scenerio. xD

Naturally I picked the one character that's completely and totally shameless. Throwing any sort of blackmail directly at her probably wouldn't do anything but make her laugh and go "Okay, sure, and?" because Crescentia really has nothing to hide.

The one thing she has to hide though is her closeness with Riley who's already been blackmailed because of her. XD And personally she wouldn't care if the world knew she adores him but that would make trouble for Riley...so basically that's all that would make her think twice (But she loves kids anyway so she'd gladly take on Madison, the girl I'm questing for, with or without being given no other choice): Tell Riley's superiors he's fraternizing with a gypsy and thus make his life miserable and it's all her fault! Ooooh~! :o

They could show up when she's dancing for the public with some of her family members and be like "HI YOU HAVE KID NOW OR ELSE, 'KAY?" pressure of family being there could keep her from freaking out~

That works. xD If you want to stirr up a bit of drama, thats chill... course if she just likes kids they do that sorta thing too. Doesn't always have to be blackmail~

Though... usually they have to come up somewhere in the books. xD So perhaps the original idea was blacklisting... which then shifted to
"We know what you did!"
"Haha I don't care..."
"...Oh...... Uhm. :< take kid anyways?"
"... sure why not."

Also theres some tracking done by people who know people already involved with D-corp xD "Oh your friend likes kids do they? 8D" two days later KNOCK ON DOOR. You win!

UM.

Brooklyn has been fraternizing with the Techs... And wanted to perfect a child. So he donated his own DNA, and ended up with freaky little Quincey-Cathal. He views the kid as an experiment though, not his son, just like any D-tech that gives DNA to create the kids?

Nadine is a seamstress for the unique beings of gaia and has been trying for a child for many years, but the system will not allow her to adopt. Apparently being a single parent with out a "Stable" office job is not eligible for a child to care for a love, though she is moderately successful. So she searches for alternative methods of adoption, like searching out of world or state. Her searching called her to the attention of D-Corp who were more then happy to set her up.

So what do you think?

H'okay, so...

Here's what I've come up with for my stuff:

Kathy is a scientist, the head of a small marine research lab up along the coast (outside of gaia's 'canon' maps, just for simplicity's sake). Mostly focused on cetaceans, but not exclusively.

Naturally, a place like that runs off of grants, which she gets from various sources, but the largest contributor is D-corp. She occasionally will give blood samples of various species to, when requested, but that's not exactly a "taxing" requirement for the money.

Therefore, she owes them for the lab's continued existence, basically. She's also more or less alone, and uses a section of the lab as her residence. So, D-corp plops a kid on her, which she'd probably have taken anyway.

How's that?

Well, the parent for the kid would be Angela, no matter what sort of child it was. Angela and her husband, actually. She's already a teacher at the company, so I figure she'd be a prime candidate already. But as it happens, they're unable to have children. Not sure if it'd be her or him, though. I'm thinking him, since she'd have likely been tagged as a parent earlier if it were her.

Vivienne owns a little cake shop in Aekea. She's been a single woman for many years now. Originally married at sixteen her husband died when she was nineteen under very suspicious circumstances. Vivi has always wondered if he was maybe involved in some sort of organized crime ring, or strange company, but has never really bothered to look into it. Instead she's burried herself in her work and making her business a success.

I'd guess a D-Corper would show up and be all 'Your husband was associated with our company. And now so are you. Meet your baby.' Plus, as Vivi is such a good cook she's be a good choice for Alice and her need to taste lots of stuff.

hmn ok hows this sound for Mariel and Luna:

Luna is a house cleaner, never really had alot of money but raised in a large mexican family, always cooks for herself +5 (even though she lives alone) and should really open a restauraunt with her food but she is still on a work visa so gov says "no restauraunt for JU!!" Now since she cleans houses maybe one of her clients is one of the D-Corp lab techs and she's always mentioning how she misses living with a house full of people and she wants kids...blah...blah....and maybe tech remembers a kid that happens to have just lost her parents. Tech "accidentaly" leaves an add for D-corp in a place where Luna would have to clean it, Luna spots it calls the number and is called in to take home a new kid!
